Review for Carnival Sunshine to Caribbean - Eastern

Carnival is fantastic. Embarkation and disembarkation couldn't have been handled any better. Complete organization. This ship was totally clean, the food was great. My wife and I along with my step-daughter and her husband were totally satisfied with the whole cruise. The Carnival excursions were well presented a little pricey but you get what you pay for. The cabins were kept immaculate as well ...

A Great Second Trip on the Ecstasy

Review for Carnival Ecstasy to Bahamas

We chose this trip due to being close to Charleston and having been on the Ecstasy in October, 2016. It was also a celebration of our tenth anniversary. When we arrived in Charleston, the line to park cars was non-existent. It went much more smoothly than in October. Upon entering the cruise terminal, there was a line, but it never stopped moving and had a painless check in process. ...

Very nice ship

I was on the Ecstasy from 05.08.17 to 05.13.17 Had ZERO issues while on the ship. Even though it's one of the smallest and oldest in carnival's fleet, it doesn't seem old nor ran down. Yeah, I noticed a few signs of age here and there, but not a big deal. The ship looked well maintained, the crew was constantly cleaning, wiping, painting, touching up and so on. It's is a nice ship with a nice ...

The reason I chose this ship is that I had been on it before. I have never been treated as bad on any cruise as I was on this one.The cleaning crew closed the 11th floor for cleaning on the second day. They were rude and disrespectful. The next day they started cleaning the hot tub and was using sanders and they has masks on but there was fiberglass and dust floating everywhere, this was at 8:30 ...

Carnival Staff Purgatory Ship

Don't get me wrong, we had fun, but we had to be flexible and patient and drink a lot of Maria's martini's to do so. We have cruised multiple times before on multiple cruiselines, including Carnival and so we read all the reviews ahead of time. We incorporated all the tips to save time and frustration that we found online ahead of time. Some reviews referred to the passengers who take this ...

Had a lot of talented staff on board. good shows and Guy's burgers were very good. when we got home and i realized we did not get our $50. room credit i called. We booked online under the super saver and one of the perks was the room credit. The excuse i was given was because i had to call to get the forms to fill out for a handicap cabin. [Our adult son is in a wheelchair.] You can't just pick ...

The first day I found a pair of underwear on the floor and dirty bathroom! The person who had cleaned the room said he was sorry but carnival didn't give them enough time to clean properly between cruises. We could hear gurgling coming from the shower, then the smell would be unbearable! Complained but said they didn't have another room. They gave me a thirty dollar credit, which was an insult ...

We had a great time on the Ecstasy

We live in Charleston, SC, so we picked the Ecstasy for the pure convenience of not having to travel to the departure port. We have previously cruised on Princess and Royal Caribbean, so I admit I was a little nervous about trying Carnival. We had our 25 year old daughter, her fiancee, and 2 friends in our party. We each had an "Interior" room with port holes in the Forward section of the ...

Really - is there even such a thing as a "bad" cruise?

We "were" going to take a break from cruising in 2017 but . . . I caved to my wife's request to cruise if she could find something for under $100 a day. We never caught a ship out of Charleston before, so we "booked it" and talked sister/brother-in-law to come along. Spent the Sunday before U/W exploring some of the sites in Charleston. (I had forgotten how hot & humid SC could get!) Had a ...
