I went on this cruise with my family, we are first time cruisers, and this experience left us discouraged and very disappointed. Entertainment was lackluster. Sea days were mostly boring for me and my husband. If you're not a drinker/partier you will find there is not much this ship has to offer really. The pool areas are silly. One small pool, in the middle of one huge crowd. The pools are also ...
Had a suite room had a tub only no shower. Very disappointed! We are in our early eighties and climbing into and out if a bathtub not safe or easy for seniors. Luckily we had a decko drain along the tub on the floor and our Room steward brought in a handicap bathroom seat and we took our showers beside the tub right out on the floor. The other complaint on all ships seems to be furniture ...
My wife and i and sister-in-law chose the vista because it offered a back-to-back cruise option out of port everglades. We had just finished a fantastic cruise on royal caribbean's wonder of the seas which ended the same day the vista sailed. • the vista was overcrowded, had overall poor food quality in the buffet and food quality in the main dining room was just okay • we had booked evening ...
Had a 10 hour drive to Galveston.
Stayed at Laquinta on I-45. OK hotel, was very expensive due to motorcycle rally. Annual Motor cycle rally was occurring. Wish I had known about that ahead of time. For anyone interested the rally is the first weekend in November, if you are NOT into cycles you should AVOID going to Galveston during that time.
Embarkation was quick and smooth, even ...
This was a nice enough cruise. The ship is definitely in need of refurbishing. Really showing its age.
The dining was very nice. We enjoyed every meal! The deserts were especially excellent.
We didn't take in much of the entertainment, but we heard it was great.
The staff was remarkable, each and every one was lovely and helpful.
Staterooms are fine, bathrooms not bad, shower water ...
To start, I have taken several cruises (7) and Carnival has done nothing but take things away... food was just about inedible in the main dining room and buffet, chocolate strawberries were pink, no different choices of bread anymore, butter is now very generic. They stopped room service a couple of years ago and now you have to pay. Long ago, you paid for casino and alcohol which is ...
I and my wife have gone on several cruises in the past, to include Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian,Princess, and Holland America. In the past, Carnival has had a decent reputation for food and entertainment.
This was our first cruise since the Pandemic.
In my opinion, Carnival has placed cost cutting ahead of quality. Although the food is edible, the only quality food is in the ...
I am a Carnival Diamond. My wife and I love the Vista for its features and port of Galveston.
This cruise was our worst on the Vista. Much of this was due to the lax cruise director and enforcement (lack of) of policies. For example, debarkation for Diamond (early) is a distinct perk. However, for example, on this cruise they instructed us to be in the restaurant at 8am to "prepare" for early ...
What ever you do PLEASE do NOT cruise with Carnival . Everything about this cruise was horrible except the cabin steward. First of all the closed the buffet the first day so we could NOT get anything to eat except burgers or pizza . But I didn’t spend all this money to eat burgers and pizza that was by the way disgusting. Second of all NOT all crew members speak or understand English. So that’s ...
We chose Carnival Cruise Line for our special family vacation because of its reputation for liveliness and kid-friendliness. In many ways, Carnival lived up to this with a variety of food options and excellent teen areas. The excursion advisors were top-notch, providing us with honest and helpful advice that made our off-boat activities memorable.
However, the experience was far from seamless. ...
