Fun entertainment, but not the ship.

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Splendor

Needed a cruise that left after Christmas and this fit the bill and was longer than other companies offered. The ship looks like it needs an update. The decorations are outdated and very pink, seats are cracked and it needs a facelift. Not much to do on the ship in terms of activities. Two waterslides and mini golf did not hold my children's attention (ages 10, 12) and they did not want to go ...

Excellent 5-day holiday tour

For first time cruisers , the itinerary was 3 stops we had not encountered previously . Snorkeling in Turks/Caicos 2 days after Christmas made the trip for me . My own fault I didn’t book an island tour of Half moon cay in advance , but the island has plenty of beach and a hike up the coast shows off crabs and sea urchins . Nassau , well , is Nassau and we did take a tour of Nassau proper and ...

Cabin 8335 - Splendor Break- not so much

Cabin was under pool/ lido deck tables and chairs, heard scraping movement from 4:00 am, to 12:30 am. The movie by the sea people were noisier than the ones at the pool during the day !!! Our cabin 8335 is directly under this area. DO NOT B OOK this cabin, or ask CARNIVAL to re- insulate the room!! No rest on my FALL BREAK!!! Cabin itself was fine, just the noises above!!! The ship was ...

From the time we were dropped off at Port Everglades to the time we were on the ship was less than 2 hours thanks to FTTF. Our cabin steward, Joseph, rocked! Loved running into him in the halls and chatting about his life on and off the ship. Had Gold Pearl early dining. LOVED our wait staff. We couldn't wait to see them each night. Seas were nice and calm so felt no sea sickness thank ...

This cruise was chosen for two specific reasons: Date and Half Moon Cay. About us: We were a group of 14 celebrating many things and booked through a private TA. Each person in our group had a great time to the point that it is still being discussed. We had first time cruisers to experienced including having sailed Carnival's newest ship in the Med. As a result, we approach cruising with ...

I was invited by my daughter's friend's family to join them on this cruise. We departed from Ft. Lauderdale and the transition from the airport to the ship was flawless. I must say that it was a great experience for my first time. The staff was so attentive and polite. Everything had great presentation and my servers at The Golden Pearl were fantastic. Gerald and Dejan were the perfect servers! ...

This was my 44th cruise and 12th on CCL. All I wanted was to go to the beach and this was the perfect itinerary hitting Nassau, Half Moon Cay, Amber Cove and Grand Turk. We flew in the day before and stayed at the Renaissance Marriott on points, room was fine, bed was great, bathroom needs updating and parking is ridiculous. We took the Budget shuttle to the port and went right to the cabin as ...

First off, we selected this cruise as it suited our schedule and for the stops. As for the stops, we enjoyed all of them (Nassau, Half-Moon Cay, Grand Turk and Amber Cover). As for the ship Carnival Splendor - it did meet our expectations. We knew it was a 10 year old ship and that the decor may be a little out-dated. That said, we thought it was very nice and clean overall. Food, shows and ...

This was a great week with lots of activities and wonderful food. We were assigned gold pearl dining room late seating and enjoyed every dinner! We were served various dishes such as prime rib, lobster tail, shrimp, grilled beef tenderloin, filet mignon, jerked chicken, Cajun shrimp, potato leek soup, French onion soup, mushroom soup, shrimp cocktail and a Greek farmer salad. Every night after ...

This was our sixth Carnival cruise and we really enjoyed it. We went with some friends and we both had extended aft balcony cabins on deck 8. It was nice to look out and see the sunrise and sunset and see the wake behind us. The ship is a little dated but it's fine. I had the Hub App on my phone and we used the chat function but the Splendor doesn't have facial recognition for pictures so this ...
