This sailing on the Carnival Pride was a Journeys trip which means Carnival added several opportunities to meet with the entertainers, wait and cabin staff. They also had special events including the Captain’s Gala (which included free drinks, snacks and live musical entertainment and a Midnight buffet.
We visited Grand Turk, Aruba, Curacao, Martinique, St. Kitts and Tortola over a 14 day ...
I've been on the ship before, and my prior experience was exceptional, although not this time.
I could not believe the quality of food and how much it has gone downhill. We were forced to eat at David's Steakhouse, which was fantastic but at a cost or the Lido deck that was uniformly revolting. We ate a lot of pizza as it's the only food up there that has held it's standard. The Lido Deck ...
We sailed on The Pride from November 3 to 18, 2019. We booked a 14 day cruise, but a storm turned it into a 15 day cruise.
Here is my review of the cruise and our experiences.
The Divine:
The food and service in the main dining room. Carnival served exotic and gourmet food each night. Their fruit soups can only be described as divine. I placed a spoonful of cool soup in my mouth, got a ...
Port of entry Baltimore. Convenience. Good value. Staff excellent in every area. Pizza and burgers excellent. David’s restaurants absolutely wonderful. David’s / Worth the extra expense. Enjoyed the adult pool. Great time to travel. Casino great fun playing three card poker. Staff excellent. Enjoyed snorkeling. Jet ski and zip lining. Enjoyed Grand Turk. Lovely beach. Easy day off and on the ship. ...
Chose this cruise because it was a 14 day Journey going to 4 locations not previously visited. Embarkation was briefly delayed by the ship's late return due to weather. Once aboard, everything went tremendously well. Our cabin stewards "Made and B" kept our cabin perfectly clean throughout the cruise. Our dining servers "Mohammad, Joel, and Augustika," were wonderful individuals who exceeded ...
The fog delayed our boarding by a couple hours. Luckily my hotel allowed us to stay in their lobby. Once it was our time to arrive it took all of maybe 15 minutes from getting off the shuttle to getting on the ship. It was very quick. We heard a staff member say that rooms were ready and they were! 2 of our bags were delivered within a couple hours and the 3rd a couple hours after that.
I ...
We had never been on a Journey's Cruise and several of our friends booked this one. Not a single regret except that it ended! Never cruised Port of Baltimore before. We really didn't spend any time in the city, I wish we had it looks like a beautiful city, lots of history and beautiful architecture. We will defiantly cruise from here again! The port experience, embarkation and disembark were ...
7th cruise on the Pride for us and we have always loved the ship and staff.
Pre/post-cruise Hotel: Stayed at the Best Western (Conference center) on Odonnell St which included parking and shuttle service. We have stayed here before mainly for the great shuttle. Hotel was OK, shuttle to the pier was good, coming home they waited until the van was full. Made 15 people wait for 1 spot to fill ...
My wife and I just came back from a 14 day (Nov. 4th thru 18th) Carnival Journey cruise out of Baltimore on the Pride. We stopped at: Grand Turk, Aruba, Curacao, Bermuda, St. Lucia, and St. Martin. We had a fantastic time. We booked an interior room on the 8th floor right below the food court (it's like having the world's best kitchen just up the stairs!). The room was large, comfortable, and ...
We just returned from our 14 night Journeys cruise on the Pride. The embarkation process was a breeze. We were on the ship very quickly and easily.... one of the best we've ever had. Our cruise director, Cookie, did a great job of keeping everyone evolved and entertained. He was always energetic and fun... one of the best we've ever had. We love the ship and have sailed on her several times. ...
