BEST CRUISE EVER

Before I cruised I searched for reviews to ease my mind during this crazy time we are in with Covid and found very little. So I want to share my experience…… Although these are my least favorite ports of the 25+ cruises I’ve been on, the ship and the experience I had last week is five star. It was the first week of fall break and due to teachers in my family, I’ve cruised during many fall ...

Carnival Panorama, Sept 18, 2021 - Back Home on the Water AT LAST

I cannot even begin to tell you how excited we were, after 18 long, lonely months of sitting and twiddling our thumbs to finally be headed out to cruise again. Despite the long, arduous drive ahead, which invariably requires recuperation immediately after, we were totally stoked for the entire journey before us. Leaving our abode in Glendale, AZ, the temperatures had leveled off at ...

Chose this cruise because the last minute fare was great and it was my first time to sail out of the west coast and to the Mexican Riviera. Ship was built in 2019 and had not sailed very many times before so it was like new. The staff was great in all aspects and since the ship was only about half full we got great service. Very clean, no lines, quick drinks, etc etc etc Felt very safe ...

To start, embarkation was not all that great. We had a 10:30 arrival time. When we arrived I provided our paper boarding passes and was immediately given an attitude because they were printed 2-sided, we had to wait for a supervisor to come and print us new ones. Testing for the little ones went smoothly, after the results were ready we were transferred over to the main check-in area. Once we were ...

I was worried about Covid-19 before we got on board the ship. The biggest hassle for my wife and i was getting the results back from the lab for the Covid- 19 test 3 days before the ship departed. We ended paying $100 each to a testing center to have our Covid-19 required PCR tests, guaranteed to receive the results back the next day before 7 pm. The food was awesome! The Carnival Panorama is ...

Smooth sailing to Mexico

As I write all this, I tend to just keep adding as I go. Not as organized as categories, but it gets the job done. If I waited to get home probably would not do it. Our arriving time was for 1030-1100, so we arrived at 1015. Did not see any people getting off ship. After one hour I Googled the ship, on the Long Beach page, “Panorama delayed due to technical issues.” I did not receive any text ...

Lax Covid protocols. Bland food/entertainment. Had its pluses, though.

Oh my. Where to begin. Hmm. Let’s start with the boarding process. Embarkation was so poorly planned (regardless of the ship being late). Little to no signage. Onsite staff didn’t have answers… or had conflicting ones (one said to come back; the other said to stay). We had an 11AM check-in time and were told to come back at 2PM. We came back at 1PM (to be safe) and there were no clear signs of ...

Average at Best. This will probably be our last Carnival Cruise

So before the whole COVID thing, we booked a Carnival vacation for a Spring 2021 Vacation with our twin 17 year olds boys. It was a great price for 2 connecting cabins during the week when their school is closed for spring break so we decided to give Carnival a second chance after an average experience on our first Carnival cruise in 2018. Well that Spring cruise was cancelled and we re-booked for ...

Disapointing cutbacks

Review for Carnival Panorama to Mexican Riviera

User Avatar

one of 1st available, I was really looking to get back to cruising & was really disapointed in some of the cost cutting by Carnival, ie; no longer providing next day's Activities sheet delivered to your cabin (you had to hunt to find one at various places around the ship), cabin steward service only done once a day, no ice cream at buffet (only soft serve machine), no crackers/croutons anywhere ...
