Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Carnival Legend

We went on an anniversary cruise for our 18th wedding anniversary. My bride's luggage was promptly lost on the ship. After five days of battling with staff it was placed in our cabin, The staff fought me with tooth and nail because it could not have been Carnivals fault. The cabin was over air conditioned and had to be adjusted by staff six different times. Food on the ship is not up to the ...

We were originally booked for this same cruise in 2021, then COVID happened. We were looking forward to the partial transit of the Panama Canal (we even booked an aft-facing balcony); plus we would celebrate Charlotte's birthday and our wedding anniversary during the cruise. The afternoon before the cruise, we were notified that due to COVID and weather conditions the cruise was shortened from ...

Carnival has really gone down hill

We chose this cruise nearly 2 1/2 years in advance because of it's unique itinerary which included the Panama Canal. It was to be our dream cruise. Turned out to be the cruise from hell. The day before sailing, they cancelled the cruise we booked and replaced it with a shorter cruise that included none of the ports that were on the cruise we booked. They claimed an abundance of caution because ...

I knew this was going to be an older ship, so I didn't expect a whole lot. I loved that it was not packed with guests because it only holds about 2300 guests. The decor was definitely dated and the food left a lot to be desired. The excursions however were fantastic. We booked an excursion for every port except Grand Cayman. The refrigerator in the state room did not cool the drinks enough ...

My wife and I have cruised extensively on many cruise lines, and we recently sailed on a 7 day Carnival Legend cruise to the Western Caribbean. While we were not WOWed by the experience, there were several interesting highlights. EMBARKATION: was smooth and one of the quickest we have ever experienced. CABIN: We had an aft-facing balcony cabin on the 7th floor. We found the cabin to be a bit ...

We chose this cruise because we live in central Florida and prefer to drive to the port. Tampa is about 1.5 hour drive for us. We are early 60's and this time our daughter and granddaughter joined us for our 7 day Western itinerary. We arrived in Tampa around 11:30 and parked the car in one of many parking lots along the main road across from the pier. Pricing varies at these lots so do some ...

I have always wanted to see the Panama Canal and it did not disappoint .My girls and my Grand daughter decided to to an all girl Cruise. The Crew was all amazing. My Stateroom Steward Aris was the best. As was the people he worked with always with a smile and a greeting. The ship was clean and well laid out. The entertainment was the best the singers and dancers were the best and when you seen ...

Our first Carnival cruise that my TA set up for us almost 2 years ago. We had the Grand Suite, which was more than we ever imagined! The service was excellent and always courteous. The foods and entertainment especially Polaris I could listen for hours was beautiful! Chef's Table was outstanding and totally worth it. Veterans appreciation and Veterans Tea gatherings was a nice touch too. Loved my ...

We recently cruised on the Legend. While we took some fun excursions, overall it was a mediocre experience. We picked this trip, as it is close to our birthdays and anniversary, and because we wanted to see some of the ruins in Belize. Our overall impression was that the crew of the Legend do not seem very happy. I can’t remember a cruise where so few of the crew spoke to us, and even ...

Old, bad food selection

This cruise was chosen for a group traveling together by an agent. The ship was old and in disrepair and had several items not working one of which was the water which flowed dark brown in the middle of the cruise. The hot tub never worked nor the sliding cover over pool, we had a couple days of rain, and they allowed smoking by the pool side I've never seen that before. We didn't have a ...
