The Carnival Horizon is beautiful ship, Staff was Amazing, but it is missing a few marks as it pertains to adults. We missed the Jamaica port of call on our Sailing due to inclement weather and although there are plenty of activities throughout the ship. When trying to get away from the kiddos for a while and relax in serenity we noticed there is not an adults only pool within serenity or anywhere ...
We sailed the ABC Islands on the Horizon and enjoyed each port stop.
The ship itself is a nice ship but we are finding that we prefer the smaller ships as the large ships just seem too crowded.
As usual cruise food is hit or miss and it seems that the menus are the same on each ship.
For the life of me I cannot understand the elevator lobbies being right in front of the restaurants; ...
The staff was very nice, What I did not like about the ship, The activities were not up to par other wised really boring, ( DJ) SUCKED The elevators are really difficult to get, long waits, This ship is not wheelchair or scooter accessible at all. The buffet was not tasty at all, The good was the movies by the pool and at the theater, Updated.. Parents need to watch their children , running ...
We chose this cruise because it was my stepson's first cruise. The crew on board are amazing. Very friendly. The food choices are super good. The cabin mattresses were more comfortable than other cruises we have been on. The massage was over the top. The only thing I was not happy with was to get to where you had to go to was difficult. You have to go up, do some walking to get to another ...
We chose this cruise because we were not thrilled with our last Royal Caribbean cruise, and we loved the stops (we hadn't been to any of them before), plus we could put all five us in a room together for a reasonable cost. It was our first Carnival Cruise (we had done Princess and Royal Caribbean before).
Embarkation was extremely easy and quick. We left our hotel on the shuttle at 1015am. At ...
Food was ok but almost exact same thing EVERY day on Lido.
The MDR’s served the same items just a tad more formal for the vast majority of the menu…
Quality/temp etc. all sub par but you could eat at Guys burgers or tacos/burritos and both were great.
Cabin steward and photographers also terrific.
Cruise director made a few announcements and I saw him briefly once - other than that no ...
We chose this cruise because we had never been to the ABC Islands. We got a really good price. The food was nothing to write home about. It was pretty well organized. Our cabin was not fully cleaned when we got there. Debarkation process took a long time. We had to wait in lines a long time. The cruise director, Donkey, was fabulous. He wants to go to Alaska but he was told he was too high energy ...
We chose Carnival because of the good deals and the destinations of Grand Cayman and Cozumel Mexico. We had a fantastic time snorkeling in both locations, once off a boat and once from the shore. We also enjoyed climbing a waterfall in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. These shore excursions were the highlight of the trip and the reason we came. We also assumed that they were meeting COVID requirements and that ...
We picked this cruise due to price and destinations. We had not been to the Dominican Republic and the timing of this cruise worked well. We had studied reviews of this ship and felt it would be a good experience. We were interested in knowing if we were required to wear masks and how Covid requirements affected cruising. This is our 14th cruise and we have cruised on NCL, Royal, Celebrity, ...
Why did we choose this cruise?
- We cruised the ABCs before and like it with Royal Caribbean and wanted to go again.
- Itinerary ended up getting changed from Bonaire to Dominican Republic. For us that was fine, never been. The only problem was that the times at the different port was significantly reduced. Curacao was only til 3pm and La Romana didn't start until Noon and ended at ...
