Carnival has gone down hill

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Glory

I wouldn’t recommend carnival anymore. I have been going on carnival for years and loved it up until my recent experience. They have cut cost where they shouldn’t. People go on a cruise for the food let’s be honest but their food was like greasy diner quality for the so called fancy dinner. Most of my meals would have been better at Waffle House. The chicken was dry the desserts were not good ...

Very Disappointing for Our 6th Cruise with Carnival

We chose a January 2024 cruise to get back in the cruising groove after having 2 cruises cancelled during Covid in 2020/2021. All excited to finally get back on a Carnival Cruise Ship we haven't been on, out of New Orleans. We had a wonderful day and a half in New Orleans, exploring the sights and sounds and food. We parked free at the cruise port with Florida Disabled Vet Plates and used ...

Our personal experience, on board, was bad. First, the ship is definitely showing its age. We witnessed a few floods in the cabins, but the lido deck has a lot of soft spots. The next issue was with the illnesses all over the boat. Even on day 2, members we already getting sick. By day 4, the captain started marking operational changes but more people continued to get sick. another ...

Passengers Were Treated Like Cattle

My husband and I sailed from New Orleans to Mahogany Bay, Belize, and Cozumel for 7 days from 7/30-8/06. From the time we went through customs to board the ship until the time we exited through customs off the ship, the passengers were treated like nothing more than cattle moving through stockyards. VERY FEW experiences on the ship were personalized and the staff acted MISERABLE the whole time!! ...

My wife picked this cruise and we did it in the passed and in 2016 we was on the same ship out of Miami when l loss my daughter. But about this current cruise 7/23 there was nothing for the adults to do. Everything revolved around trivia. for a whole week we had the same food Morning noon and night. This was the first time l enjoyed the cruise director Johnny. He was amazing and interacted with ...

Not family friendly

Overall the experience was what you expect from a cruise aside from being kid friendly. Out of the six hot tubs and two pools, only two hot tubs and one pool allowed children under 18. On the main pool deck that did allow children, at 7 pm dive in movies would start and only two of them were kid friendly. Kids club was only open for a couple of hours at a time everyday and at very erratic times. ...

Mediocre at best

Boarding the ship took forever, the food on board was mediocre, the Serenity area and all the other hot tubs would be shut down early right as we would start enjoying them (Serenity hot tubs should be open all night), The virtual reality arcade machine stole my money, Arcade games should be included with the cruise, too many "private" events, the wifi didn't work in our room and was extremely ...

Disappointed in the Glory this time

This was a "girlfriend's" cruise for my wife. She turned platinum on this cruise. These are her comments. Glory looked and felt old and run-down. Food was not up to previous Carnival standards. General cleaning was poor. Saw leftover coffee cups in the same spot for 2 days by the elevators. Elevator buttons were dirty the entire trip. I used my elbow to press them. Ship's windows ...

Food in the dining room was excellent as usual, but the buffet was not nearly as good as it usually is. Desserts on the buffet were tasteless and lacked variety. Cookies were hard as rocks. Breakfast at the buffet was delicious, but lunch and dinner were awful. There were about 5 choices for each meal. Room stewards were friendly and the service was wonderful. They kept the room spotless. ...

Will never do another Carnival ship!

This is one of the worst ships I’ve been on! This was my 2nd Carnival Cruise. I will stick with NCL or RC from now on. This was a family cruise so we had 7 ppl with 2 staterooms. The activities were good and we especially liked the Dr Seuss breakfast. Cookie the cruise director was hilarious and likable. The shows were good. The dining room staff were excellent and our cabin steward ...
