We embarked on our cruise 09/29/2018. We had been on to other cruises with Carnival, the triumph and the magic. Those cruises were wonderful and we had a great time. When we 1st boarded the freedom we noticed that it seemed like we were back in the seventies and eighties on that cruise ship. I paid for the Internet on the cruise $97 never received Internet at all. The TV's are very outdated. It ...
First cruise and we are hooked !!! Went for our 30th wedding anniversary! We were nervous — for no reason ! We loved every single minute. The crew were beyond helpful, so friendly. The food was amazing !!! Loved the comedy show. And everyone’s favorite the newlywed game. I know I’m jumping around but as the thoughts come, I’m typing. We had a balcony and that was so relaxing to have our ...
I have went on several cruises with Carnival on other larger ships lake the Magic. This was the first and last time on the Freedom. The ship is noticeably small in several areas such as main area pool and lounging, no upper covered decks around the main pool, main dining room and balconies. We had a group of 15 people all but two experienced Carnival cruisers.
The staff, especially at the ...
Here is my review of the Carnival Cruise on the Freedom this year for Christmas time.
Brief History of my travel experience: I have been on 4 cruises separated out in 10 years, with 3 being on Carnival. So I am an occasional cruiser. I enjoy it immensely for the value and the fun, but have other vacation interest. I have stayed top of the line to bottom of the barrel in my travel experience. ...
We began our adventure by spending Super Bowl night at the Rodeway Inn in Ft. Lauderdale. With shuttles from the airport and to the cruise port, Rodeway provides convenient and economical pre-cruise accommodations.
Embarkation was a breeze (although "priority boarding" was probably helpful). We had a fairly spacious and quiet balcony room on the Veranda deck, conveniently located one floor below ...
As a Marriott Rewards Platinum status guy, we always took our vacations to Marriott properties. Well on our last Marriott stay over Spring Break at the Harbor Beach property, we walked to the end of the beach and saw the awesome cruise ships enter and leave the port. It looked exciting and made me curious. Well our Christmas vacation opened up and we booked a pretty last minute 8 day Southern ...
We came into this cruise with very low expectations and only booked it due to a really great promotion that was cheaper than eating out at home.. Have to preface this with saying we cruised Alaska on the Miracle in June that was a total disaster and were not going to ever cruise Carnival again...
But we have to admit the Freedom is a class above the Miracle in every way. The Ship is recently ...
Carnival Freedom December 2014 Notes
Negatives:
1. Deck chairs overboard at 1 am – loud crash and banging sound. Hit our railing. A life vest was thrown overboard as well – terrible customer service and safety response
a. Multiple different answers given as to ramifications of actions of cruise passenger
b. First they told us they did not know who threw them over, then they said they read the ...
I have been on many Carnival Cruises and I will say that this one was excellent. The Freedom 2.0 upgrades are fantastic although I was disappointed that the new taste bar was in the place of the old sushi bar. The alchemy bar was fantastic and a big shout out to Dezi and Corina for their excellent cocktails. This bar was a hub of activity and a great place to meet people. The food was, as usual, ...
The advertising for this cruise showed a picture of Aruba with fireworks going off. The ad showed that the ship would be in port until 11:30pm meaning 12:30 am Aruba time, after all of the HUGE celebrations in the city. However, on the morning of December 31 they ship announces to all passengers one of those "we do apologize" messages that tried to tell us that the port suddenly made a decision to ...
