Exactly What I Wanted From a Carnival Cruise
"Let me start by setting the scene for anyone who reads this. This is my first review on this site, but not my first cruise with Carnival. I am a 28 year old man from Alabama, and I sail with my wife, Sara, who..."Read More

This was the first cruise all 9 of us and we couldn't be happier. It was my wife and I, our 3 grown children, 2 of their friends, and my wife's parents. After we were home we sat down and tried to find something negative to say about the trip (not including things beyond their control like the rough weather on the last sea day that made a few of our group seasick) and we could find nothing ...

We usually do two back to back cruises in February to get a break from our long upstate NY winters. We had booked the first one to go out of New Orleans on NCL. We hadn’t been there before so we thought we’d combine some sightseeing with a cruise. Then I needed to find a second cruise on a different ship with a departure date that would work. Carnival had this cruise the day after, going out of ...

My husband and I sailed for the second time on the Carnival Dream, stateroom category 8B, room 6318. The ship had just returned from an altered itinerary due to fog, and so hadn't been in port for several days. As such, she was in need of a thorough cleaning outside: all outside windows and balconies were filmed over with salt and tough to see through. The inside of the ship was pristine; I seldom ...

First of all the ship may be older but it was definitely clean. There were staff everywhere cleaning the windows, bannisters, up on the Lido, etc. Everyone had a smile, Our dinner service was amazing. We were scheduled for anytime dining. We sat at table # 100 in the Crimson Restaurant. We were served by Richard, Alberto and Lorenz. Richard was the lead waiter and managed our table service ...

This was our first cruise. We (my husband, myself, my 17 year old son & his girlfriend (she's cruised lots) decided on a short trip (4 days) to Cozumel from Galveston to see if we would even like to cruise. We were scheduled to begin check-in at 1:30 pm. Even though we were scheduled we ended up being mixed in with every one left to embark (Note: pick an earlier time). Short wait at check-in & ...

Though it had been quite a number of years since my wife and I had last cruised, we had so looked forward to this trip. We had driven down the day before, and stayed at the Galvez and caught the shuttle the next morning. We had scheduled an early arrival time. and as such were there right on time. After dropping off our luggage with one of the porters (look for guys in floral print Hawaiian style ...

This 5 night cruise from Galveston exceeded my expectations. A prior Carnival cruise was not great so I was apprehensive about this one. What a waste of worry! Plentiful waiters for fast soda package service. Was concerned about room only being cleaned once a day, but we never ran out of towels (my biggest concern), and on the one day when we had all been in the sand and beach water, I ...

Convienence. We could drive to Galveston, Price and we have had good experience with Carnival in the past. Let us start with saying the staff was very good. Everyone was very congenial and helpful. The food was mediocre. In the buffet you had to touch food to make sure it was hot. Much of it was cold. The directions and markings on the ship were somewhat confusing. The cabin was sufficient. ...

Carnival Cruise September 2 – 7, 2019 We took the Carnival Dream out of Galveston just as a quick escape. Nothing really planned, just some time to relax. We have been on a number of ships, but the Dream was huge. They did a great job of managing people and having enough areas so that when you were on the ship it did not seem crowded. A few lines here and there, but that is to be expected. ...
