My husband and I chose this cruise, because we have had great Carnival experiences on other ships. Unfortunately, this voyage was not what we have previously experienced. We liked Nono, the energetic cruise director, the Playlist Players and Nick the piano player, but everything else, particularly the dining room was not good. First the staff in the Sapphire dining room was so disorganized and ...
This was a 14 day Journeys cruise. With mostly older passengers and a ton of Platinum & Diamond sailing it was not your typical cruise. Embarkation was a dream. Debarkation was a nightmare...because of so many platinum (which I am ) and Diamond guests all trying to get off the ship ASAP when we docked in Port Canaveral. Not a normal situation but one I feel Carnival staff could have been ...
Consensus among some was that Carnival is implementing more cost cutting measures on board. Ship still in good shape and service from stateroom staff is still great, but availability of staff elsewhere can be lacking.
Resupply of out of stock restaurant/bar items did not seem to occur during the cruise. The most obvious seeming cost cutting is the food; In the Lido, proteins, with FEW ...
This was our first Journey's cruise. We did not know what to expect. Out of 3800 Passengers, 1800 were Platinum and about 100 were diamond. This means you will wait if you aren't diamond or platinum. If I had to do it over, I would have waited to become platinum before doing this cruise. The ship is awesome but I will now add cough syrup to the list. Many got an upper respiratory virus on ...
I chose this cruise as the reviews for Breeze are decent from past cruisers, it will tour 8 islands in S Caribbean, 6 of them I never been. Carnival is famous at FUN, but this ship has no fun at all. No fun activity, early dining 5:30pm always had mile long waiting line, then waited 1 hr for the waiters to serve 1 night, so I only been 3 formal dining’s entire cruise. Food is terrible, super salty ...
Firstly this was a 'journeys cruise' which basically means longer itineraries and ports not usual for carnival to visit.
As this was a straight 14 day cruise we expected it to be slightly different. The majority of people on this cruise were older then the usual mix found on carnival, in fact there were over 2000 platinum and diamond guests, hardened long life carnival cruisers, average age ...
This 14 day cruise was our 30th overall and 19th with Carnival. I found for the most part a typical Carnival experience (good) The ship is kept spotless and the staff is the friendliest we have ever seen. Practically everyone greeted us with a smile and was very polite...The stage shows were IMO lacking. In 14 days we only had 3 musicals and one was terrible. (cowboy show) Other nights we were ...
Carnival Breeze 09-16-2018
14 day-Relocation from Galveston TX to Port Canaveral Fl.
Journeys Cruise and Premiere Casino Cruise.
Room 8395, Starboard Side, 8A
Overall Rating of The Cruise 9 out of 10.
Embarkation: We expected to be slow because of past experiences at Port of Galveston. It was a good surprise to arrive at 11:00 AM and be onboard by 11:30 AM carrying our boarding ...
Sunday, September 16 - embarkation smooth.
Monday, September 17 - sea day
Tuesday, September 18 - Sea day ate at steak house and had a professional private sitting with a photographer. They came out beautiful, and that is something I would never say, much less think of pictures of me.
Wednesday, September 19 - Grand Cayman - Snuba diving
Thursday, September 20 - sea day
Friday, ...
I ultimately chose this cruise due to it’s importance to the Carnival Repositioning of their fleet. It was also a unique sailing and a Carnival Journey Cruise. It helped that I had previous Carnival Cruise Friends already booked.
The only negative I can submit is the MDR Service. On this particular 9/16 sailing, the late seating was taking 2.5 hours from seating to leaving. Not sure why that ...
