This was a 14 day Journeys cruise. With mostly older passengers and a ton of Platinum & Diamond sailing it was not your typical cruise. Embarkation was a dream. Consensus among some was that Carnival is implementing more cost cutting measures on board. Ship still in good shape and service from stateroom staff is still great, but availability of staff elsewhere can be lacking.

This was our first Journey's cruise. We did not know what to expect. Out of 3800 Passengers, 1800 were Platinum and about 100 were diamond. This means you will wait if you aren't diamond or platinum. I chose this cruise as the reviews for Breeze are decent from past cruisers, it will tour 8 islands in S Caribbean, 6 of them I never been. Carnival is famous at FUN, but this ship has no fun at all. Firstly this was a 'journeys cruise' which basically means longer itineraries and ports not usual for carnival to visit.

I found for the most part a typical Carnival experience (good) The ship is kept spotless and the staff is the friendliest we have ever seen. I ultimately chose this cruise due to it’s importance to the Carnival Repositioning of their fleet. It was also a unique sailing and a Carnival Journey Cruise. It helped that I had previous Carnival Cruise Friends already booked.
The only negative I can submit is the MDR Service. On this particular 9/16 sailing, the late seating was taking 2.5 hours from seating to leaving. Not sure why that ...
