I went on the Elation because it was out of Jacksonville and not far from home plus we used our RCI certificate on it. I have been on one other cruise 10 years ago on the Valor. The Valor feels like a Marriott while the elation seems more like a days inn. We are in our 30's with a 3 and a 5 year old and maybe the theater theme just wasn't for us. The room seemed really out of date and old and ...
This was our first time on Carnival Magic. We cruised on the Carnival Breeze last year and both ships are near mirror images of each other with the exception of the decor. Overall we were happy with our cruise. The food was average in the main dining room and buffet, but the Blue Iguana Cantina, Guy's Burgers, the pizzeria, Tandoor and The Pig and Anchor were good alternative choices to the ...
This was our wedding cruise so boarding was awesome as we had priority boarding over everyone else. We had an Ocean Suite and the cabin was plenty spacious with lots of storage. We didn't even use half of the cabinet or drawer space available. We did bring our own outlet adapter that had several plugs and USB charging ports which came in very handy. e food was not over the top. We had a set ...
Carnival has dropped the ball big time. Room was so warm, after 1:00 am it seemed AC turned off. Miserably hot. Dining room food unacceptable, just chose to go to Diamond Steak House.
Ship was clean. We had 3 different room cabin stewards. Took a friend that had never cruised no towel animals either. A trip is what you make of it, so good time.
No night time entertainment. Music in casino ...
I have cruised Carnival for 30 years. It started out as the "Fun Ships" 30 years ago and is now the lower end of the cruise industry.
The staff is no longer attentive and caters to a low class clientele. It was great to purchase a drink package, but not so when you cannot get a drink.
The food was medicore at best, rooms were okay, steward was not overly friendly. I do love the balcony ...
Live in Texas. Took the cruise from Galveston as it is nearest where I live. They lost our luggage, they changed our room without apology. Would not even hunt down our luggage. Guest Services personnel were grumpy, grouchy and rude to everyone. They were insulting.
Food in main dining room was edible but not imaginative. Same stuff on menu. Very little selection. Dining room service ...
First off, we were on the sailing prior to this as back to back cruisers. BUT - our kids were joining us so we had to disembark to get them through check in. In doing this, the Carnival check in staff literally had no idea what to do with us. The woman that we ended up with complained the entire time that we were in the wrong place and she shouldn't even have to check us in. She was rude and ...
The Tom Joyner Fantastic Voyage on the Carnival Breeze is worthy of its name, FANTASTIC!
There was so much entertainment, seminars, and other activities - You have to pace yourself in order to take in most of what is offered. The party with a purpose goes on 24/8.
The Theme Nights were sensational. There was an "all black night", an "all white night", and a "flashback night" just to ...
We went with a group of friends, 8 in total. This was our first time on Carnival.
Getting on the ship was quick and easy and our rooms were ready when we got on the boat.
The ship was outdated but no major problems. Cabin was clean and the steward kept them up very well. There was a lot of food outside of the cabins the last night and still there the next morning, that's not acceptable. ...
Veteran Cruiser – Honest Review
In summary: the Carnival Magic is a really nice ship. She is huge (130K tons) which is a departure from the older and smaller ships that normally take the 3 or 4 day Bahamas run from Port Canaveral. After five years of service, she was immaculate, comfortable, and the service in general was on target. This cruise was a three-day repositioning cruise of sorts, ...
