We decided to try a cruise out of Texas as we always go out of the east coast to try something different. Overall we had a very good cruise, here are some highlights;
Embarkation took 15 minutes, very easy
We had a inside cabin, roomy enough for 2 on the 9th floor which was super convenient, out room steward was solid. The only issue was it never got cold in the room
Malcolm the CD was ...
I have been on 3 cruises with Carnival and enjoyed them. I like the relaxed atmosphere. I sailed on the Carnival Dream about 6 years ago and had a fabulous time so I thought the Magic would be just as fabulous. This time it was good but not great.
Food: I really enjoyed Guys burger joint. The burgers were quite good and the fries are excellent. Other than Guy's though, the food was mostly good ...
This is my only my 2nd cruise and possibly my last . The 1st was on Palm Beach Princess which was a low budget cruise so I thought Carnival would be much better but was disappointed . I do not consider being on a boat with 3500 other travelers a relaxing vacation . Out of 7 nights cruising we had 4 shore excursions . I believe we spent more time waiting in line than anything else . Lines for ...
This specific cruise schedule is by far the best we have been on. For a 7 day cruise, and the islands we visited, we got our money's worth! The Glory was as expected, a veteran seasoned ship, with its minor flaws, mostly visual. But it has its tried and true, old school appeal, and seasoned veteran crew. The food was amazing, some of the best meals we have had on a cruise. Pools were ...
Like others I will agree the decor on many of the decks are dated. The carpet needs to be replaced especially around the elevators. Our balcony room was well decorated and so comfortable. It slept two adults and three children.
Food was good. Fine dining was even better. Breakfast was superb.
Entertainment was spot on and we went to many comedy shows and the VIP 70s show. My wife ...
We drove to Ft. Lauderdale and stayed in a hotel the night before. We traveled with 6 people. My wife and 4 children aged 22, 19, 16, and 7. This was our first cruise and we all had a great time. The crew was fantastic and really made the family feel special.
Our main housekeeper, Made (that's his name- pronounced ma-day), and other housekeeping really took care of our rooms. They were ...
Embarkation: Huge lines of passengers queued up (large amount of high school and college age). The process was slow and the staff was not kind. Treated like cattle.
The ship: The Paradise is a very old boat and it shows. Many of the decorative features throughout were not functioning properly and showed the age of the boat. The cabin bathroom was ancient. There were no amenities other than two ...
This was my very first cruise and I really wasn't sure what to expect. I went with my 2 teenage children, my sister and my teenage niece. My sister and niece have cruised on Carnival before (on a larger ship and loved it).
We got 2 interior staterooms and to he honest, while the decor was outdated, I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the rooms. Our stateroom steward (Arthur) was ...
We took this cruise to celebrate my birthday and family reunion. To my surprise, being this our 7 th cruise, it was the worse cruise that we ever taken. The ship is all rustic and dirty, it looks like it is time to put it to away, but not to get People to pay so much money for nothing. In my group ( I took 28 persons) some of them first time travelers, they were so disappointed that they said ...
We had a great time, I recommend the Sunshine Ship, they have a lot of activities, the services from the crew members are incredible, the room was little, but the staff always kept it clean and neat. The only thing I would add to this trip is a better dinner menu in the Sunset and Sunrise Restaurant, it is not bad but it could be better. We loved our waiter even that he was always busy, he had the ...
