This was my very first cruise. It was a gift from a friend it was a spare of the moment trip. She asked me to go with her on the Friday that we got out for Thanksgiving break. She told me we were leaving that night to go to Galveston and we was going to sail out on the Saturday. She asked me to go on a cruise with her. I had a GREAATTT Time I can not wait to go on another. Next time I would like ...
I took my adult son and wanted something easy and fun from Galveston. Considering how many people were on ship, I thought the “getting on/getting off” process was reasonably good. Crew was great! Our cruise director Lawerence was wonderful. We enjoyed all of the shows and did most of them - comedy, Deal or No Deal, Love & Marriage, Bingo, Karioke, and production shows. I think the restaurant Blush ...
We are in our mid 40s. We chose this cruise because of the size of the ship and dates available. This was our 7th cruise...4 prior Carnival and 2 prior Royal Caribbean. I would always tell friends and family how much I loved Carnival's food and environment.
This is by far the worst cruise we have been on so far.
Positives:
Embarkation was a smooth process.
Staff were exceptional in ...
We chose this cruise because it was a port close to our home and we didn't have to fly. It was a sweet 16 cruise for my daughter and she brought her cousins along so they were happy just to be going and hanging out.
PROS
- unlimited pizza and icecream for kids
- friendly staff
- felt safe letting the kids hangout without adults the entire time "ages 9-16"
-free charm bracelet ...
Love this ship. We had a few different people that works on it make it so great. One of them that was AMAZING is Putu in the Casino he's a bartender. He is such a great man. And a very hard worker. He did am excellent job. And I'm sure hoping he will be there when I go back in Sept-Oct. He made our Cruise the best. Thank you carnival and thank you Putu. Also the cruise director was so fun! He made ...
I have never written a review about anything. But I chose this cruise because I read a lot of reviews and felt like I needed to mention things that I had not seen on previous reviews
The food and meal staff were amazing
Now, for the negative, pretty much everything else. This ship is extremely outdated, had very strong odors, which smelt like sewer. You have a total of two outlets in your ...
This is the sixth cruise we have taken with Carnival. This was BY FAR the worst cruise we have ever taken.
* The Valor appeared to be a run-down, aging ship. Stats show it to be 19 years old but appeared much older.
* We voiced our dissatisfaction to Guest Services mid-cruise but never received any follow up to our concerns.
* Our last cruise was aboard the Mardi Gras and it was great. ...
This is our 6th cruise booked with Carnival. It is by far the best food we've experienced on the buffet of any of the previous cruises. The stateroom, which was a suite, was nice but in much need of refurbishment. Actually, the ship overall, from wood railing finishes, paint, to deck flooring was needing attention. None of the previous Carnival ships we cruised were in this condition. Another ...
We combined a trip to the National WWII Museum in New Orleans with this cruise. This was the only reason for selecting the Glory. Our hotel (Holiday Inn Express) is a little over a half mile from the cruise terminal but after walking the Riverwalk and Convention Center, I don't think that there is a way to get there other than by taxi. Cost was around $20. We had an early check in time and from ...
Food was ok but almost exact same thing EVERY day on Lido.
The MDR’s served the same items just a tad more formal for the vast majority of the menu…
Quality/temp etc. all sub par but you could eat at Guys burgers or tacos/burritos and both were great.
Cabin steward and photographers also terrific.
Cruise director made a few announcements and I saw him briefly once - other than that no ...
