Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Carnival Venezia

Originally booked on a different ship; ended up on Venezia due to ship swap; selected for the itinerary. The ship is pretty but wow the color red is very dominant with lots of ornate gold trim. Theater too small for the guest capacity. Excursion changes should have been conveyed to pax sooner to allow for alternate plans. Behind the Fun tour is offered - sign up early at Shore ...

Great Cruise; some caveats though.

Wanted to do a solo cruise and I treated myself to a Canadian cruise. The last time I was in the Maritime Provinces was 2001 on the CARNIVAL VICTORY (now RADIANCE) and wanted to see it again. My second Carnival cruise was on the CARNIVAL MAGIC in 2019. The layout of the MAGIC is similar to that of the VENEZIA. I bite the bullet with the single supplement always; I don't like sharing my cabins with ...

A Canadian cruise from New York will be a totally different experience on the Venezia

I'm not a Carnival cheerleader, but I do think Carnival can offer a decent value at times. That being said, this is my personal review for the Carnival Venezia sailing to Canada this September. Embarkation - super simple. The hardest part about embarkation was trying to help our Lyft driver figure out where to drop us off at the terminal. Once we were dropped off, we were within our time ...

Review for a Greenland Cruise on Carnival Legend

Destination and ease of driving to port had us pick carnival, legend out of Baltimore to Greenland. Well first off no Greenland due to hurricanes. But we were so impressed again and again with the quality of the entertainment. Singers and dancers shows were great. Choreographed and costumed and talented. Special talent from Broadway stars to singing maitre de to crew talent show were amazing. ...

We've sailed from NYC many times and we know the terminals are not large enough to hold thousands of people, so when check-in selection opened, we selected arrival time of 11:30-12, as we hope boarding had already started by that time and the terminal will not be packed. We arrived around 11:25, no line at priority security line (regular security line had maybe 20 people in it), and walked right ...

I booked this cruise 4 days prior to sailing because of a good deal. I have been on 40+CCL cruises&surprisingly never been on on a Spirit class ship. It exceeded my expectations jn many ways. The food was better than my recent CCl cruises, perhaps because this was a 14 day Journey cruise. In the bars the musical entertainment was very good. The itinerary was ...

Overdue Girl's Cruise

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Magic

Carnival Magic 9-18-21 5 Day Bahamas Cruise. I was really excited to be able to cruise again after everything being shut down for 18 months. My friend and I take a "girl's cruise" every year and of course missed last year. We signed up for the 9-18-21 5 day Bahamas cruise. We felt like Carnival did a bait and switch because after booking, they changed all of the mask and testing mandates. ...

This was our first Carnival cruise. My wife and I are in our late 50’s early 60s. We’ve sailed with Royal Caribbean, Princess, NCL, and for our honeymoon, Home Line. We hesitated sailing with Carnival due to its rep as a beer and pizza cruise line. After reading numerous reviews on how they’ve upped their game, we gave it a shot and were not disappointed. We sailed on the Sunrise, to Canada ...

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Carnival Horizon

We sailed on the transatlantic cruise and had a wonderful two weeks. Having sailed on Vista a couple of years previously in The Med we knew what to expect from this class of ship and it didn't disappoint. Embarkation: very quick and easy, comfortable big cruise terminal in Barcelona with plenty of seats, a cafe, bar and a duty free shop that had its shelves picked clean - it was funny to watch. ...
