Carnival Canada & New England Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

This is the second time we took this cruise. We chose it to avoid flying and the Caribbean during hurricane season. Jose did rough up the seas for us, but it It did not impact our fun. We drove to the port so parking was easy. We purchased Faster to the fun so as soon as we checked in we went straight onboard. We dropped off our bags and headed to the buffet before the masses. The cabin was a ...

The itinerary was perfect, the food exquisite, service was impeccable. Couldn't have asked for better except the weather wasn't "perfect". The only complaint I have is the muster drill was so stressful it's not even funny. Also, because the weather wasn't great, there weren't a lot of places to relax that weren't one's room. We didn't do any shore excursions, there was plenty to do on one's ...

We got on this cruise because it was on sale at a ridiculously low price. We did not have a lot of expectations as we have been to all the ports of call. But we were genuinely surprised by how much we've enjoyed this 7 day cruise. First off, the food was very good in the main dining room. The Lido buffet was a little wanting but for breakfast, and a bite to eat after being on shore, it ...

Everything was nice about this cruise except the comedy shows. They only had a PG show the first day. Everyday after that they were all R or X rated. 4 times a day, even at 7:15. We are not prudes, but we don't like hearing the F word a 100 times, and distasteful material. What happened to the funny shows? The main shows were good, Also we played some trivia games which were ...

Review July 6-10, 2017 Lots of Fun / Captain's Suite Needs Love

Cruised with a group of 6 friends/family. Because I consider Carnival cheap and cheerful, I had realistic expectations. There's lots of fun to be had, plenty of activities (good cruise director and staff), and while the ship does hold more people than it probably should, it is a big ship, so one can find peace if you know where to look. We did not dine in the MDR but booked specialty dining ...

Okay, where to begin, let me start by saying this was my second cruise and my wife’s 40th so I am seeing some things for the first time. We paid for the FTTF (Faster To The Fun) and I believe it was exactly that for the better part. We arrived at the scheduled time specified by CCL and had to remain seated for approximately 30-45 minutes beyond our scheduled embarkation time. I mentioned that ...

We were signed up to go the the Bahamas and Turks and Caicos, but we were re-routed to Saint John, NB and Halifax, NS due to Hurricane Matthew. I was very pleased with how Carnival handled re-routing us: we were given a couple days' notice and the opportunity to cancel without penalty, or we could come along on the new itinerary and get $100 pp on-board credit and 25% off our next cruise. I ...

First time for New England cruise. Older passengers, great ship, and wonderful staff. Food was average but the service was great. Ports were alright but not something we would rush back to. Ship was not crowded even though it was sold out. Plenty to eat and do. The staff made up for some of the rough spots like the first dinner night. Food was slow coming out and when we received it it was ...

Enjoyed cruise with some noted deficiencies for this ship.

Wanted to cruise New England/Canada and chose Carnival due to past positive cruises on other ships from their fleet. This ship is difficult to navigate from aft to mid and forward on many deck levels. Elevators noted not to stop on mid level decks when coming from upper decks i.e.: 10 or 11 or from lower decks 4-5, and noted very slow! Disembarking in Halifax port was very poor having to wait ...

Great Cruise, So So Food!

We are in our early 50's and have sailed on Carnival several times. I enjoy the entertainment, trivia, and comedy shows. But I have noticed over the years that the food quality and variety has declined. The buffet on the Lido looked the same almost everyday . . . always baked fish, baked chicken, mashed potatoes, the exact same salads and fixing everyday even for dinner. etc. But the ...
