Carnival Canada & New England Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Carnival Sunshine

I've been on quite a few Carnival cruises and the Sunshine was my least favorite. Their main lounge where the shows are performed is small....Some of the hallway carpets are stained.....My shower ceiling was in need of repair and when you sit on the toilet, your feet are in the shower (not much room)....When you first get to your room, they ask if you would like it cleaned in the morning or ...

We've been on about 8 Carnival cruises. We knew Sunshine was formerly Destiny, on which we also sailed. While we enjoyed our cruises on Destiny, we were disappointed in Sunshine. First, the bad: They took away the seating on Deck 5 between the casino and the back of the ship. This was the perfect spot to relax, play cards, read, and make new friends. Some of the clubs at the back of Deck 5 ...

First cruise - The crowds bothered me

Our embarkment day and the first full day at sea were very rainy, foggy, and COLD. As a result, we could not really use the outdoor areas. This made the inside of the ship feel CROWDED. The crew did their best to keep everybody happy, but with so many people packed in there, it was difficult. My main criticisms were 1) The walkways into the dining room are very congested. 2) The swimming ...

My family and I are Gold members as we have taken many cruises on Carnival. This cruise along with myself was my husband, son 18 and daughter 10. In the past we have only taken a couple of Royal Caribbean cruises as we were very satisfied and happy with the switch to Carnival many years ago. However, after this cruise, we will be giving Royal Caribbean another shot. I will break down my review in ...

It was our first cruise. What we liked: - Staff were friendly - Balcony cabin was great - Days at sea, we could get loungers - Lots of activities - Soups in the dining room - Breakfast in the dining room - Amber Cove - The Zip line and the pool - Amber Cover - The beach. Skip the package and take a taxi to the beach - early in the day. - Grand Turk - best port- ...

5 Day Sunshine to Canada

My wife and I have been on many cruises, including our three most recent aboard Carnival. We did the Sunshine last year to the Caribbean. For this sailing, we opted for a short, 5 day getaway sailing from NYC and going to ST John and Halifax. Originally from New England and having moved to NC only a few years ago, we never really considered a cruise up north appealing, but were afforded an ...

Hi I chose this cruise because it left from NYC, so no flying and I was off from work for a few days. It was as a belated celebration for my husband 50th birthday and we left our four kids at home .This was my third cruise on carnival. I have also sailed on NCL, Disney, and mostly RCL. Embarking was the best and has improved from the last time we boarded from NYC a few years ago. Loved all ...

We were on the Sunshine New England Cruise Sept 17- 24, 2016. The over trip was ok. The food in the main dining room could have been better. Chicken breast dried out. Baked potatoes was cold and hard. The butter wouldn't even melt. I must say other food items were good. The lobster tail was very good, the Oyster Rockefeller were good. I was very surprised the pork chops were moist. They had ...

Halifax and St. John tours were great

We chose this cruise because we have never gone north on a cruise and were anxious to visit Maine and Canadian ports. We were looking forward to seeing the colorful fall, but because of the hot dry summer, leaves had not changed yet. This cruise was affordable since there were three of us in my party, but I can see why it was affordable. Although our cabin stewardess, wait staff and the little ...

Senior Cruise; Average Quality

We chose this cruise to fit into our schedule in NYC and with the hope to see Fall colors. We did not get to see the Fall colors due the long summer. This is our first Carnival cruise. We did not have high expectation. It exceeded our expectation but still falls below other cruise lines in quality in entertainment and food service. Carnival seems to know where to cut corners to save money. ...
