We loved all of the locations for stops. The sushi restaurant and Italian are amazing! So good we ate at each several times. Overall, the food was pretty good on the buffet and dining room as well. Love Guys burgers, Mexican and the pizza. The ship was very clean, the Crew are amazing. Always smiling and offering a hello or help with whatever you asked for. The boat was very clean and the crew worked hard to ensure it stayed that way. It was an amazing trip! We did the BOSS underwater in St Thomas. It was so amazing. I would give it 100 stars! Only down side was the rain on the 2nd day, but they can’t help that. Also, we lost use of the TV for the last whole day which was disappointing since it was cold and rainy outside. We talked instead! Something we almost forgot to do! Overall. Fantastic trip! Read Less

My boyfriend and I chose this cruise for my 30th birthday and it did not dissapoint. I hadnt been on a carnival in 16 year and they were as great as i remember. Everyone of the ship bend over backwards just to back just YOU are comfortable and having a good time. Anything you could think of.... is there. You can or ANYTHING or NOTHING at all.. 24 hours a day. We laughed till our cheeks hurt at the comedy shows; we sang along to the of amazing shows they preformed; ate till we couldnt see color anymore; took naps; enjoyed the spa amenities and 21+ deck; went down the water slides; watched movies on the top deck while being served pin a coladas; room service 24/7; you name it.. they had it. What made our trip even more memorable was our room stewart named Eddie and the bartender name Jerome. Read Less

My husband and I chose this cruise, because we have had great Carnival experiences on other ships. Unfortunately, this voyage was not what we have previously experienced. We liked Nono, the energetic cruise director, the Playlist Players and Nick the piano player, but everything else, particularly the dining room was not good. First the staff in the Sapphire dining room was so disorganized and rude to us on the first night. They kept sending up and down from first to second floor, then placed us at the back of a long line. Secondly, the food in the Sapphire Room was consistently room temperature or just cold almost every night. The food itself was mediocre at best. Many dishes we ordered were missing components. They even ran out of Yankee Pot roast one night and served me a substitute with a tough thin piece of meat and lied, calling the it the Yankee Pot Roast. We complained and the dining room host served us the actual pot roast the following night, when we didn’t even want it. One night, we were seated at a table, with a waitress who was obviously sick, coughing frequently. She told us she had been sick, but was feeling better. She continued to cough constantly over our table. A virus was going around the ship, and they allowed this waitress to work. They want you to use hand sanitizer around the ship, but they allow sick people to touch your plates and food? The other truly bad experience was with our shore excursion called Rum And Bananas. We received a note in our room, that our excursion was combined with another group at an earlier time. My husband and I showed up at the pier early and we were instructed by a Carnival Excursion staff member to find a white bus bus at the end of the pier. There were numerous whites buses. Three other couples were there, also frustrated about not being able to find this excursion bus. We walked all the way in the rain back up to ship getting poor assistance.The other 3 couples and my husband and found out the bus left early leaving us behind. The bus then had to turn around about 10 miles out of town to return to the pier to pick us all up. The Carnival excursion desk woman hat the pier was rude to us as well as the tour coordinator outside at the pier. We had to argue to get some discount off of the excursion. The tour itself was rushed and cut short. The tour guide kept disappearing and people on the tour were confused. I actually followed the tour guide from another ship. Other people went to the excursion desk to complain after the trip. Lastly, the 5th deck and the Ovation theater were very cold every night. All in all, my husband and I will think twice before booking another cruise with Carnival. Read Less

I've been cruising for 40 years, starting in 1978 on the emerald seas. I've taken over 40 cruises and am a gold carnival member. We took advantage of the many hotels that offer a park and cruise program where you can stay the night before departure and leave your car in their parking lot and take a shuttle to the port. We swore off carnival a couple of years ago because of bad experiences, but the ports were interesting and this was the first "large" ship we sailed at 130,000 tons. Apparently Carnival has decided to attract a certain demographic that were the most disgusting group of human beings I've been locked on a ship with. Their foul language, rude behavior and no consideration for the kids and ladies was horrible. On deck 11 above the main pool area as we were sitting with new friends we met, this group next to us started fighting and yelling the MF words, F words and then one of them got up and yelled across the pool to someone saying "hey MF come over here". They kept up the foul language until I stood up and threatened to knock him out if hey didn't shut his mouth. Told him there were kids and ladies here and didn't need to talk like that. Carnival had no security around. On the last night in the atrium level 3 another gang started yelling profanities, this time the security team removed them, but they were back 30 minutes later. These groups would travel in packs and my wife was scared to move about the ship unattended. On formal or dress up night they let these gangsta's come into the dining room with baseball hats, shorts, wife beater shirts. Carnival never enforced the dress code or any behavior rules. That being said, we booked this cruise for our 17th anniversary. Embarkation was for the most part fast. They herd you like cattle, long lines for everything, there was a black long hair in my eggs, when we were at the second "formal" night our personal carnival cruise planer DJ Myrick arranged for a anniversary cake and they gave it to another couple who had no idea why they were receiving a cake. Not being deterred, they ate our cake. I gave the cabin an excellent rating because it was a outside ocean view deluxe which had plenty of room and a FULL BATH AND A HALF BATH. The picture window was big enough to watch the ocean as we sailed. if I had kids I would NEVER sail with this company until they clean up their act. One more thing, Carnival now rents scooters. Not exaggerating, there were 400 scooters running into people, clogging elevators, running into the back of your legs if you take to long in the food line, One kid was playing with a scooter, lost control and cleared out a table of people. People were so feeble our departure was delayed due to a medical emergency and when we were disembarking a lady fell out of her wheel chair clogging the only way out. They called the ship doctor and when he arrived he told the people helping that he was familiar with her. While in port at Grand Turk the sister ship Dream had a medical emergency and they had to life flight someone to St. Thomas. A cruise is not the place if you're not not able to walk and your health is such that you may have to be left in port. That's expensive and on you. What a total disaster and waste of my hard earned money. Read Less

Me and my wife sailed with Carnival on board the Breeze In November 2019 for our honeymoon. We had a room on the first floor with an ocean view. The cruise was 7 days and we enjoyed every second of it. The staff was not only amazing but by the second day they had already remembered both of our names and what we liked to order. The food was outstanding and the dining room staff was always so friendly and helpful. Every drink we ordered regardless of our location was made perfectly. The shows were always Entertaining and fun for everyone. I’ve been on 3 cruises, all with carnival and I’ve never experienced or overheard any have one negative thing to say about any of them. The staff treats everyone with the upmost respect even when some passengers don’t deserve it. Our waiter, Roberto, and his dining room staff always made us feel welcomed and at home. You can’t go wrong cruising with carnival, the have so much stuff you can do so you’re never bored, and if you want to just relax all cruise and soak up some sun, then they have plenty of areas for that too. People that complain are just looking for free stuff, staying on deck two means that there is a whole deck of cabins below you, not the engine room. And lunch lines will be longer when you go at the same time as everybody else. You have multiple locations that are all open for multiple hours. Read Less

We typically go on 2 to 3 cruises a year. Normally, we use Norwegian and Royal Caribbean.We chose Carnival this cruise because we went with a group of 6 friends. The embarkation and entertainment were the only things on our cruise that was not a disappointment. We bought the premium drink package which is a terrible RIP off! One ounce liquor servings only. The bartenders were very slow, oftentimes rude and not willing to make anything but their standard limited menu drinks. I asked for a Sammy Sosa drink. The bartender became indignant and refused to make the drink. I asked why. He replied it had too much liquor in it and that wasn't allowed. I said it only has two liquors in it. I showed him on his drink card a rum punch Carnival was offering that had 3 liquors in it. Then I showed him a drink of the day Carnival was offering called an MF er that had 6 liquors in it. He then proceeded to tell me Carnival only serves or makes drinks that are on the drink menu. I pointed out that a multitude of drinks they were serving were not listed! Such as, seven & seven, gin & tonic, screw drivers, etc. I asked for a Jameson neat , the bartender served it in a 1 once shot glass. I asked for 2 of them, he said I had to wait 5 minutes to order another drink. Although, a man at the end of the bar( which the bartender called by name ) ordered a Jack Daniels neat and the bartender gave him a 12 ounce rock glass full of Jack Daniels! Not very classy in my opinion after all the fabrications he gave me! My wife and I went to guest services and asked to speak to the bar manager. I told him our experience with his bartender. Also,I told him, we paid $600 for 2 premium drink packages. He backed up the bartender and his disrespectful actions and proceeded to give me the run around. He said we're here to make money! I explained to him I was in the food and beverage business 50 years! I said there are approximately 34 shots in a liter. So at ounce servings and $8 per drink, Carnival allows most guests (but some special people get much more, not sure how to become one of these people) Carnival makes $ 272 per bottle which is approximately 9 times the cost of the bottle. I told him that's more than making money... that's called making a killing! He asked for our room number. Nothing ever came of that diversion! The Lido Buffet food was of poor quality with little variety. Many times reused the next day under a different name. The Sapphire restuarant service was very slow with a poor selection, hardly any better than the buffet. All 8 people in our group received cold food! Non smoking areas were not enforced. The restrooms were not very easy to locate and not cleaned very often. Read Less

We chose this ship because it sailed from Port Canaveral (Orlando) to Bermuda. That was the ONLY reason. My previous experience with Carnival was "lowest common denominator". I've been on about 20 cruises with Norwegian, Holland America, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity. Here are my "positive" notes: (1) fastest ever embarkation, (2) arrived at cabin 1:30PM with luggage waiting, (3) lifeboat drill used fast ship-card check in, (4) good quality balcony & deck furniture, (5) beach towels supplied in cabin, (6) cabin well lit (no struggle to read in bed), (7) excellent cake station in buffet - custom cut for you. Previous reviews have criticized the food as bland and uninteresting (and somewhere I've seen Carnival allude to their "hamburger and fried chicken" loving passengers. So I carried a bottle of Herbes de Provence which was unused after the 2nd day. We found the dinner menu quite adequate, imaginative and comparable to other cruise lines. While the Melting Chocolate Cake was the star of the dessert menu, there were other tasty selections such as a nicely done creme brulee. I was a bit disappointed in their preparation of mushrooms. We liked the layout of the buffet - relatively small "rooms" with buffet and nearby tables. No walking 50 yards around all the stations, then trying to find your seatmates. The first night we went late to the show, sat near the starboard door, something wet was dripping on my head and my partner was shivering. We left. During a talk by ship managers, a passenger remarked on the small number of Carnival shows ("on every ship"), and she would like to see more variety (as a frequent Carnival guest). The ship acknowledged the complaint, stated a new show is in the works, they are expensive to produce, and the existing ones have new personnel that bring a new look to an old show. The production shows are a big reason I cruise, so I'm not in a hurry to sail with Carnival again to see the same old thing. The band Sea Squared (if I have that right) was very good. We were particularly impressed with a string trio performing on the central stairway. A lot of talent (of course), with excellent variety., Definitely not "lowest common denominator". They were great. Debarkation went very well. We had to wait about 15 minutes with luggage in hand because the terminal got backed up. Absolutely no problem getting on elevators. We are happy! 7 day Exotic Western Caribbean,we thought it was going to be fun only a few ports were nice and ones we really liked was to "short" pulled in at 7:00 am and back on board by 1:00 pm ?? not long enough .the food was alright not the best choices and some cut backs from what we got on other trips.out of 7 days we had tv for 2 days the rest was a tv that said it was loading info and stayed that way till we got back home.the last day they did give us a break on our room billing for the steak house which by the way was the best ever,the food was out of this world and sooooo good ! i would good back for sure it was worth the $38.00.Entertainment was poor and over acted almost like they were mouthing to sound track....not sure of it, but we were on the carnival magic last year same entertainment on this ship and found it boring .the casino was really bad for smoking my eyes burned and found it not so good for non-smokers .internet speed very poor during peak hours and will take for forever to load and then will say timed out.....Disembarkation went well. Chose this cruise for the ship and the itinerary; Cozumel, Belize, Roatan, Honduras, and Costa Maya. Going through customs in Port Canaveral was smooth. The customs agents were friendly, kind, professional, thorough, well organized and efficient. Port Canaveral made the whole process bearable. Last years port Port Miami was disorganized, and chaotic to say the least. Will try to not book another Cruise Embarkation/Disembarkation out of Port Miami. Most things were good or above average on our cruise. We had a great Room Steward, Jhonny. He exceeded our expectations in every way. We gladly gave him an extra tip in a addition to a gift bag at the beginning. Last year's Room Steward was good too, on the Carnival Vista. We loved Jhonny this year. We hope to have him again in the future. The Sapphire Dining Room hostesses, waiter / waitress staff provided great service. We had Anytime Dining where we sometimes had different waiters/waitresses, which made this more impressive. The food and service were great in the MDR. We increased our Prepaid Gratuities, because of the high level of service in the MDR and Guest Services. My wife and I always book the Thermal Suite and Thalassotherapy Pool from the Spa, before our Cruise. We love the Thalassotherapy Pool and the 4 Heated Chambers. The Spa Staff is always kind, helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, some Chambers weren't working this time on the Carnival Breeze. The Oriental Steam Bath Chamber on Embarkation wasn't working that night. Some Chambers only had 1 Essential Oil/ Aroma Choice when there is suppose to be 4 choices. Either the Laconium, Dry Heat Chamber choices didn't work or the choices had not been restocked/refilled with essential oil choices. The Tepidarium(Heated Ergonomic Shaped Loungers were not working.) Some of the loungers didn't heat. My wife and I love the Spa, but it was disappointing some of the Heated Loungers didn't heat, and some of the Heated Chambers, the Oriental Steam Bath, the Aroma Steam Bath, the Laconium, Dry Heat Bath were not working properly(1 or less choices for essential oils) or were turned off, not working at all. **[Note: I have since contacted the Spa, and they assured me the mechanical issues weren't the norm. Their representative patiently allowed me to address my concerns and worked towards a resolution. I personally was impressed with their sensitivity and their concern with mine and my wife's dissatisfaction.**] The washing machines and dryers were not working on deck 10 and deck 7. We were on deck 8, so we hoped to use deck 7's or deck 10's Laundry Mat for convenience sake. We were forced to go down to deck 2 and wait, because other people needed to use deck 2's Laundry Mat, because it was the only serviceable washing machines and dryers working for ship passengers. One Laundry Mat working for a ship with over 3,000 passengers. Very inconvenient, frustrating and disappointing. The Professional Photographers did a great job taking pics, as always. Getting pics taken is always fun on a Carnival Cruise. I'm not an expert, but I believe Carnival has some of the best Photographers in the world. There were only 3 workers to serve all passengers trying to purchase picture packages on the last Sea Day. Those 3 people in the Pixel Gallery, looked exhausted and couldn't provide me and my wife with the service we needed, so the result was, we spent half the money on pics this year as we did last year. Unsatisfactory service in the pixel gallery, not the workers' fault. There were to many people for the Pixel Workers to serve. We paid less. I started not to purchase any pics at all, since we couldn't get any help. That's unfortunate, because the pictures taken by the photographers are so good, we have a difficult time deciding which pictures we want to keep. My wife and I walked down to the Pixel Gallery early before it opened and tagged pictures we wanted to keep as favorites. We had narrowed them down. When we returned to purchase our pictures the whole system had reset as if we hadn't done the work previously to narrow down the pictures. This was rather annoying and frustrating. Maybe we should stop purchasing pics from Carnival. Having pics made with the various Photographers and different back drops, was one of the most fun things to do on the ship. However, if Carnival doesn't hire enough help to service demand in the Pixel Gallery and the process and/or computer system in the Pixel Gallery is going to waste our time after we tried to get ahead of the masses(Huge Crowds) of passengers in the Pixel Gallery by tagging the pics we wanted as favorites, then we may stop purchasing any pics from the Pixel Gallery. My wife and I take a lot of Pics and Video on our own, and some of them are quite good. I'm not saying they are professional level, like the Pixel Gallery. But if going to the Pixel Gallery is going to be as Inconvenient and stressful as it was on the Carnival Breeze, we will stay with our own pics. We would definitely save a lot of money if we stayed with our own Pics and Video. 555 Steak House did a tremendous job with food and service on Embarkation Night. My wife and I decided we wanted to do a Specialty Dining(preferably Steakhouse) to celebrate our cruise. It's our little Cruise Tradition. Last year we did the Chef's Table on the Vista and it was a great experience. I highly recommend Chef's Table and the 555 Steakhouse also. We had Excellent Service and Delicious Food from 555 Steakhouse on the Carnival Breeze. It really got our Cruise off on the right foot, so to speak. We also did Bonsai Sushi our last Sea Day Night, and it was great. We ordered the Fresh Water Eel, and Tempura Shrimp Rolls, and Sushi Individuals of each menu choice, the Green Tea Cupcake, and the Rice Pudding. It was all delicious. My wife and I are inexperienced with eating Sushi, but a young lady working for Bonsai Sushi, patiently taught us how to hold chop sticks and how to eat Sushi. She also gave my wife some training Chop Sticks. We were impressed with the food and service at Bonsai Sushi. It was fun and a great experience for us. We increased our gratuity, because of the great service. I love the Red Frog Pub. I always enjoy purchasing the Red Frog Beer Sampler. I'm not a huge beer drinker, but I really enjoy the taste of Red Frog Pub, Thirsty Frog Red Beer. I think it is the best tasting beer I have ever had. Most of the time I drink Michelob Ultra, Bud Light Lime, Dos Equis or some other Light Beer when I do drink beer. Patrick in the Red Frog Pub on the Carnival Breeze gave me great service. I arrived kind of late, but it wasn't closing yet, but another man working with Patrick who acted like he was in charge, acted like a Manager of the Red Frog Pub, May 1st or 2nd, said rather rudely to me, "WE ARE CLOSED!" More than once. just before closing time. The man tried to literally run me off. It was near closing. I understand, kind of, sort of. I would have gladly taken my drink to go though, but this man wasn't going to give me the opportunity to do that. I calmly told him Patrick said before he was gonna serve me. He asked Patrick, and Patrick said he did tell me he would serve me. This happened on May 1st or May 2nd, 2019 near the end of our cruise. I should have got the man's name and complained to Guest Services about his rudeness. But at the same time I know all of those workers on the ship work very hard, and we were tired, so I am sure they were tired as well. The Playlist Production Staff were great, especially when performing Flick, The Power of Motion Pictures on the Carnival Breeze. Awesome show. Read Less

This is my 5th cruise with Carnival. I love cruising with Carnival. I always have exceptional service in all areas. The embarkation and disembarkation both went smoother than ever before. The interior decor of the ship is simply Beautiful. My cabin was great and Korn was the best room steward.The staff in all areas is over all just Grand. I love all of the food options. The Blue Iguana and Pig & Anchor are my favorites. With over 4,000 people on this ship, they manage to remember everyone's name at dinner. I enjoyed all the nightly entertainment and I love the Punch line comedians they are always really funny. There are alot of talented singers and performers. The dazzling bright colors and light shows I really enjoyed. Ports and shore excursions were very enjoyable. Ocean World is a must see in the Dominican Republic Me and my fiance are already planning our next cruise for 2020.. Read Less

The embarkation and disembarkation was a COOL BREEZE transaction both ways. The Ship itself is an older ship but with upgrades. The cabin was great and LAURO went the extra mile to make sure we were accommodated in every which way. He also addressed us by our names as we did the same with him. He was a very pleasant person overall. The dining experience was great as well. No one is perfect and we all make mistakes. With that being said I'm just going to keep it real. We had to wait very long periods to receive our food during the beginning of the week for breakfast in the BLUSH restaurant. By the third day everything started to go smoothly and enjoyable. Dinner was great as well. We met and remembered a memorable person 'APRIL JOY'. I believe she was head waitress. She's amazing with people. She has great character and very personable. I watched how she interacted with others and boy she's just a true JOY to be around with a wonderful experience. I hope to run into her again in our future cruises. We really enjoyed the SEAFOOD SHACK. had we known that it was that good we would've ordered the crab legs and shrimp everyday. We heard how good from a relative on our 5th day. So we did get 2 days of orders in. YUMMY. $33 up-charge was worth it. We also had 555 Fahrenheit. Surf and turf. Yummy $38pp up-charge. Cherry on TOP. whelp that will fix your candy fix. The entertainment was awesome. The entire FUN SQUAD was on point with everything. IF they made a mistake well we didn't see it. DONKEY is a true character. This is my second run in with him but on a different ship. I pre warned my guest that he's hilarious. lol. His Spirit is one to be around. I learned a little more about him in the Q and A session in the Ovation room. QUEST entertainment got crazy but funny. If you are easily offended this isn't for you. The COMEDY umm I didn't like it. I went to 2 shows and neither were funny to me on this cruise. To each it own. ALL the shows in the Ovation were great. The 80s show or name that song was awesome. I recorded that one. lol. ``Service``employees weren't that friendly. I've seen better cruises with friendlier people. Usually when passing by the greet you. You didn't get much of that on this cruise. I think that was pretty much my only complaint. Excursions'' We did the powerboat (Belize)and the ATV(CostaMaya)with JASMINE. She was an awesome tour guide. We will definitely do those again if we visit those ports again. OVERALL 4 out of 5. Read Less

There were more nice servers on this trip than some of our previous trips. pig and anchor food was good,just needed to be open daily.The capitano's on this ship was highly over rated.Chris(Donkey) the cruise director is one of the best i've seen out of 20 years of cruising.He loved his job in keeping people happy. We enjoyed the shows that we saw. the down side of this trip was some of te things that carnival doesn't tell you. 1 they don't tell you that every time you are in a us port you pay an extra tax on anything you drink on the ship. So if your in port for 8 hours it can cost you an additional 20 dollars per couple. I am an avid scrapbooker. so i was looking forward to that activity that was on board since they teamed up with michaels it was very disappointing took 15 minutes to get your supplies and then only gave you 15 minutes to work on the project.It wuld have made sense to prepackage the project or extend the time they gave. Our first night in the dining room was not good from the server to where they sat us. But by the next night they moved our seating to a private table and 3 really awesome waiters. My husband and i cruised in early march 2019 and it was our 2nd carnival cruise. We loved it. We sat back many times to just take in all that the boat offered. it was an excellent week with awesome food, drinks, service and entertainment. we wouldn't have changed a thing. i can't say enough about donkey (the famous cruise director)....he is everything people describe--high energy and full of witty comments and loads of fun! i am now much more convinced that cruising is the "best bang for your buck". and i suspect we will continue to stay with carnival as we find it safe, clean and overall just plain amazing! even though it was march break and the boat was full--we never had to wait longer than a couple minutes at a bar or restaurant. all staff members were extremely good and provided service beyond what we expected. the one thing i have to say is that there can never be enough comedians on the ship--those shows are the best! This is our fourth cruise on Carnival and until this last cruise we've been VERY satisfied. We took our two daughters with us to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary, and my sister and her husband surprised us and sailed with us as well. We all had Balcony cabins, but the cabins looked VERY used. Given the price difference, I had expected better quality accommodations. We booked early enough to secure the early dinner seating, but were told that they were sold out. When my sister and her husband attempted to get late seating so that we could dine together, they were told maybe tomorrow. We all ate at the buffet. The food in the Main dining room was very good, and our waiters were WONDERFUL. The buffet, however, was TERRIBLE. It was like eating at the "FREE buffet at Circus, Circus in Reno at midnight." We tried the Sushi Restaurant one night but were disappointed. They do not have Soy Wraps and have a very limited selection. My daughter ordered Chocolate covered strawberries and Champagne for our Anniversary, but the Strawberry stems were wilted and they looked very old. The entertainment was really awful, with the exception of the comedian, Eddie Clark, who was completely entertaining and wonderful. I had bragged about the wonderful entertainment on Carnival ships, but ate a little crow on that one... The embarkation and debarkation were handled very well. I love to give great reviews, but believe in being honest. I would never recommend cruising Carnival again until they get back to focusing on fun AND quality food, entertainment, etc. Read Less

Embarkation: We arrived at our assigned embarkation time apt. and everything was smooth upon checking in. We had also printed all of the boarding passes, luggage tags and completely checked in beforehand so we did had very little to do at the Port Terminal. Once we embarked on, we had a couple of hours until our room was ready so we enjoyed some nice lunch looking out over Port Canaveral. Dining Experience: Breakfast: We enjoyed the sit-down dining and sea-day brunches most days. I often ordered the eggs benedict, turkey bacon and hashbrowns while my husband would get either pancakes or eggs with different sides. We prefered the food options in the sit-down dining better than the buffet. We did not get the opportunity to try the omelette station as there was always a wait. Lunch: I really enjoyed the Cucina Del Capitano pasta lunch (free!), your pasta is made to order and you can select everything from the noodles, sauce to toppings. You can also get a side of caesar salad or a delicious garlic-butter bun. We also enjoyed the Blue Iguana, I liked the taco bowl and the burritos, my husband enjoyed the tacos. We both really enjoyed the lunch buffet, we found that there was always a good variety of tasty foods and a generous salad bar. The deserts were also very tasty! They had run out of the Black Forest Cake on one of the days because we had waited too long to go and get desert. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our lunches! Dinner: We went for the sit-down dining each evening, we had the later dining option at 8:15 P.M. The three dining staff were AMAZING (Paula, Neemark and Jerry) as they were not only so quick, friendly and good at their jobs, but they went out of their way to have genuine conversations with us. We always looked forward to seeing them! As for the food, most of the dishes were good with the exception of a few underwhelming ones. Out of the carnival cruises I've sailed, I was the most disappointed with the sit-down dining food on this cruise. I felt that at times, it was sloppily plated or under seasons or under mashed. However, I felt that the dining staff were the best on this cruise compared to the others! Oh, and the melting chocolate lava cake is DELICIOUS! Other: The lemonade, iced tea, pizza and ice cream were great! Cabin: Our room staff was incredibly friendly and great. Our room ALWAYS smelled so clean and was spotless. 10/10! The balcony was also very clean. Entertainment: I preferred the entertainment and the quality of the shows to be the best so far on this cruise. The female vocalists were stronger than the males during the evening shows. We also really enjoyed the violinists and the jazz band, we made it a point to attend their shows whenever possible. Unpopular opinion was related to the cruise director, I found him to be less inviting compared to others from previous cruises. I really enjoyed the assistant director Oh Yes Jess, she was funny! Facilities: We enjoyed the variety of hot tubs on this ship and that they were not on the main lido deck like some other ships, less children in them! The serenity deck was really nice and relaxing, we enjoyed that daily except that the blue padded bed-chairs smelled dirty and moldy by the end of the trip (maybe because it rained?). We also liked the water slides, pools and games available to play on deck. We went to the fitness center daily which was quite empty and had a good variety of equipment too. Spa/Photography (negative reviews): Given it was our honeymoon, Carnival provided us with a $50 giftcard for Serenity Spa and a $50 voucher for the Dream Photo Studio. I went to the spa for a manicure (which cost $50). The technician who did my nails started off as very friendly and outgoing, but midway tried to scam me into purchasing almost $400 of products without my consent. She noticed I had some dry skin and applied a lotion and hand treatment, she asked me if I liked the cream which I did. She then put another cream on my arms and then massaged my shoulders with the cream (aloe vera type cream) and left me the pamphlets explaining what they were. She had tried to sell me these products the rest of the time and kept persisting even when I said no or "let me think about it". At the end, she said she would bring me the bill and I could add an additional gratuity if needed. She then took all of the cream products to scan/bill to me! I stopped her right away and she seemed offended and continued to try and guilttrip me into purchasing them, when I asked the price, it was $350 USD. I completely understand that the workers are pressured to try and make more sales, but this completely turned me off from any future spa treatments. Same experience with the dreams studio, this is NOT to be mistaken with the regular photo shoots you see around the ship that are somewhat affordable. We had to book a 30min individual photoshoot with a separate meeting to review the prints. In between meetings, we asked all around the ship, including the Pixels Help Desk, for prices, but no one would provide us with any. Finally, we review the gorgeous photos to find out the packages cost almost as much as our WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER. Port: Cozumel 3/5 Nice port, decent shopping but not much to do as a tourist without a prebooked tour Port: Belize 2.5/5 Took a tender boat out which was fun (approx. 30 min.), windy and rainy but still enjoyable. Port itself has many shops which were fun to browse, but again, tour is recommended Port: Roatan 5/5 GREAT port with many attractions (small fee and free) right outside of the port. We enjoyed the nature park with trails, ziplining, beach and shopping. Super fun and lots to do without a tour! Port: Costa Maya (Negative review) 1/5 3 cruise ships for a tiny port that you cannot really leave (similar to Grand Turk) unless on a tour. It was SO crowded that we could barely walk. The grounds were nice and it was well maintained however... as we followed the path back to the ship, we saw a dolphin jump out of a manmade pool FEET FROM THE REAL OCEAN. Several dolphins were housed in a tiny, murky green pool and the worked were trying to get as many tourists as possible in the water to "swim with dolphins". The conditions were depressing to the point where I cried. Please do your research and DO NOT support these inhumane and cruel tourist attractions.... just go and read some reviews and investigations for the swim with dolphin attractions, you will never support one again. Please spend that money on taking a boat out to sea and seeing these smart, beautiful creatures in nature where they belong. Read Less

This was an anniversary/birthday cruise for my wife and I. We have been cruising since 2003 with Carnival, and have always had a great time until this last trip. First off, the ship was crowded, with lots of extended families and kids (which was strange to me since it was the first week in December and school was not out for the holidays). Encountered a lot more people than usual who did not have any etiquette in public (especially in food lines and public areas). Our room steward and the cruise entertainment director were great, as were the bartenders at the Atrium lounge. The staff in the jewelry store were extremely pushy while we were just looking (which is a big turn-off for me), and a lot of the buffet staff were not personable at all. And forget about going to the disco after 11:30 unless your into "Trap" and "Mumble" rap music. The one night we did go we arrived at 1030. The DJ was playing 80's and 90's dance music, and the club was hoping. Then at 11:30 the music and the atmosphere changed so we quickly left. The last issue really caught me by surprise. When we arrived back at our room on the last night, tour itemized sail and sign card statement was in the door box. I reviewed it and everything was correct, so I put it in my bag. The next morning we ate breakfast and then self-disembarked from the ship. My Visa card was charged an additional $22 dollars x 2 on the last morning, which I did not find out until several days later when checking my credit card statement and saw the additional charges (which had posted and already been paid two days prior). I requested an itemized statement from Carnival, and when I received it there were two $22 charges described as robes/towels/books. When my wife called Carnival to inquire about these charges, they stated it was for 2 pool towels. My wife and I are both retired cops, and have never taken anything from a cruise ship, much less 2 pool towels. I disputed the charges with Chase, and as of today I received a reply starting that they investigated the issue, and that Carnival stated they supplied a service or product, so Chase is not going to take the charges off. How do you dispute such as charge when there is no way to prove we did not take the towels. The 2 pool towels were left in the room folded up on the little stool by the desk when we left the last morning. I hope Carnival is happy with the additional $44 dollars l they got from me, because it will certainly be the LAST TIME I cruise with Carnival. This was the final straw in a vacation that should have been awesome, but came up way short. Beware when you leave that you take a picture with your phone of what is left in your room when you leave. This is my third sailing with Carnival. I chose this Ship for its Itinerary and Ship Class. Embarking was normal. I used Go Port Canaveral for our transportation to and from the port from the airport and used Park 'N' Go to store our vehicle not too far from the Orlando Airport. Both were wonderful. We enjoyed all ports, and we had a balcony room 11248 which was quiet and clean. Greg was our room steward. He did a wonderful job the whole week. We dined in the MDR every night except for one night that we ate at the steak house. Leo and Roger were our waiters and they both were always pleasant and smiling. The food in the MDR was good. I was worried because of the previous reviews and I know I can be a food snob, but it was fine. The steak house was wonderful. I actually enjoyed better than the one on the Conquest. Entertainment was wonderful, Donkey did his job well. This boat did have more elderly on it but I think its because of the casino. It was no bother at all because there was plenty of events for people of all ages going on. I definitely would recommend this ship to anyone. We did an excursion at each port we booked thru carnival prior to sailing. Read Less

This cruise left out of Cape Canaveral. We arrived on time for our 11:30 am "appointment time" and embarkation went very smoothly, in fact the the smoothest I've experienced. We were on the boat in no time and found a seat on the deck on the opposite side of BBQ place. We got a few drinks from the nearby bar and some excellent BBQ and relaxed there until our cabin was ready around 1:30 pm. We had second floor port hole cabin # 2216. The cabin was clean and much larger than I was expecting. The water we ordered was in the room when we arrived, our gold status VIFP water and pin came the following day. The VIFP drink vouchers that were in our room had someone else's name on them but the correct cabin number causing us to briefly think we were in the wrong room LOL and considering we had already unpacked most of our stuff it was a brief moment of panic haha. The vouchers turned out to be incorrect and we received new ones a day or two later. The boat is large and was in over all good condition. The food was overall very good and we really enjoyed the taco's and burgers. I was disappointing that the excellent and included Tandoori restaurant had been replaced with an extra cost seafood restaurant. We had anytime dining and rarely had a wait for a table, the food was overall very good and the service was fine but not as good as it has been on some other boats in the past. The casino was so packed all the time that it made even crossing thru a bit of a challenge, but good for Carnival as I'm sure they were raking in the gambling money. We only went to one comedy show and it was pretty good. We went to all of the playlist production shows and they were descent but corny. The performers gave it there all and were very enthusiastic especially Jay. Our biggest complaint on this boat was the overwhelming amount of smoking areas. I have never been on a cruise ship before that had so many smoking areas and smokers for that matter. There were so many smoking areas that it was difficult to find an area to sit away from the cigarette smoke and we found that was a major negative in our experience on this boat and our ability to finds spots to relax on deck or enjoy the pool side movies. Getting on and off the beat at the ports was a breeze (none of the ports on this route had tenders). The staff around the boat and in the shops were pleasant and attentive. The disembarkation was a complete mess. We ported our own luggage off the boat and we didn't make it off the boat until 11 am. The only floors that had been called when we disembarked were 11,12 ,1 and 2 for self debarkation and only tag/zone #'s 1,2,and 3 so god knows how long it took the rest of the people on the boat to finally get off? The cruise director was blaming customs but she had made multiple announcements right after the initial floors were called for people to follow the rules, so who knows? Read Less

Was anxious the first night mainly due to the darkness at night when looking out but after my initial wobble I loved it so much we booked again . Guys burgers are great the food court offers plenty of choice . Visited spa twice and loved that experience . We had some beautiful photos done they were of good quality . Would return again in heartbeat .. would given a 5/5 had it not been the fact my credit card had way more taken than should and took ages to get back !!! Valuable lesson learned go cash account !! I had orebooked and paid spas and had cruise cash on account . For whatever crazy reason carnival took authorisations on my card for way more than was ever owed . This was an anniversary celebration cruise for us, and we wanted to see some of the eastern Caribbean. The ship was clean, and well laid out. The staff was always helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the dining options (anytime dining was great). The melting chocolate cake was divine as was the heart shaped cake and serenade by our wait crew for our anniversary. Our wait staff team was exceptional. They remembered our names and brought my husband his favorite beverage each night even before we ordered anything. The entertainment was really really great, with a very entertaining cruise director. The entertainment was staff was wonderful. The variety of activities meant there was something for pretty much everyone. We enjoyed being able to talk with them after their shows. Although we did not travel with children, we saw them being well cared for and entertained as well. We snorkeled in Grad Turk - beautiful clear waters and a variety of fish and coral to see. We did not do excursions at the other ports of call, but did enjoy the relaxing pool area & restaurants at Amber Cove including the zip line! We walked around St. Thomas and San Juan. We would do a cruise on the Breeze again. We were totally impressed at how smoothly and quickly they turned the ship around for 4700 passengers! Read Less

Sunday, September 16 - embarkation smooth. Monday, September 17 - sea day Tuesday, September 18 - Sea day ate at steak house and had a professional private sitting with a photographer. They came out beautiful, and that is something I would never say, much less think of pictures of me. Wednesday, September 19 - Grand Cayman - Snuba diving Thursday, September 20 - sea day Friday, September 21 - Aruba downtown walking and tasting tour Saturday, September 22 - Caricao Caves and beach day. Sunday, September 23 - Sea day Monday, September 24th - Greneda- River tubing and scenic bus drive. No AC on run down busses. Very dirty river water. No lockers to store your valuables. We kept hearing stories about people having things stolen from the busses so we left our camera in the safe in our cabin. We decided to bring our phones with us, double ziplock bagged them but unfortunately, the phones didn't make it. Somehow the bag floated out of dh's pocket and ended up at the bottom of the river. We did get them back with a promise of almost $200 to the person who was able to find them. So out $165 and two cellphones. Yes, we tried the "rice thing" to dry them out but they still won't even turn on. Expensive mistake for sure. This, and I developed some weird itchy bug bites all over my legs. Didn't look like Miskito bites but itched for days. Barbados - Tuesday September 25th no excursion. Just stayed in port and walked around a little. Bought sunscreen for $18-ridiculous. No pics because phones are now bricks from river tubing in Grenada. Went back to ship for lunch and then tried to take a nap. Mike was able to nap then he went to gym. I couldn't sleep but laid in be until 6 pm then we went to lido deck. Nothing really looked appetizing so I ate fruit (watermelon and pineapple. Mike had a little of everything. Tortellini, chicken cathitorri, chicken fried steak, fried rice. said the best was he rice. Soon after we tried some luck in casino. I don't get why so many people spend hours on end in there. If it was something that took skill I'd understand more but not the slots. Then we went to the comedy show. It was pretty good. Dominica - Wed 26 th. Trolley ride through town pretty lame. 1 1/2 hrs Botanical gardens , nothing like you'd be used to. Not much to look at. Kind of felt like we were in a parade because people were lined up on the streets waving at us. Houses all in ruins. Got some unique pics. Offered a small glass of rum punch or orange juice. Went to mdr for dinner. St Maarten - Thursday September 27th Big 3 - Flying Dutchman, tubing and canopy zip lining. Beautiful day! Nice, air conditioned bus This will take 6 hrs because of all the waiting. Zip lines very cool, Flying Dutchman not as scary or thrilling as you'd expect. In fact all three of the other zip lines were very thrilling in comparison to the FD. They do have a bar while waiting for the FD, but I do not want to drink rum or beer when I'm exerted from Climbing hills. It wasn't managed well as far as time. Very slow hooking people up and bringing vests back up the hill. The schooner tube rides are very lame. No water. We skipped all together. One thing that irritated quite a few of us. The cruise director, Schwartz, and his friends came up to the fd and realized they probably would not have time to enjoy this particular portion of the excursion. I don’t know if he went up to the manager or if the manager approached him but he and 14 of his crew was pushed ahead of about 30 other cruisers so that they could make it back to the ship at a good time. Unfortunately, this made it so 12 people that were waiting at least 3 hours were not able to enjoy the fd. This excursion also held up the ship for over an hour. (We did get a police escort back to the ship which was kind of neat because it was after 5 pm and lots of traffic). We were very disappointed that we now were not able to do any shopping on the island. By the time we got back on the ship it was just after 5:30 and we were starving since we had no chance to eat lunch, and wanted a real meal so quick showers we had and off to the mdr. There is always so much food that I never have been able to finish my dinner, but tonight was the exception. I had Caesar salad, steak, baked potato and broccoli. (I even had 2 desserts- apple pie and a chocolate tres leche. The apple pie was the better of the 2). Friday, September 28th Sea day - breakfast in bed again thanks to sweet dh. Coffee, orange juice, French toast, pancakes. For lunch we had BBQ and watched a little bit of the ballroom dance lessons. Then we decided to go to the library bar and play some board games while we sampled some wine. Dh taught me how to play Texas hold 'em. I won, hee hee. Decided to back to the cabin and sit out on our patio so that we could be away from all the people but still be outside. Elegant night for dinner. I didn't realize until 4:00pm. Bleh. we've mostly been eating in the mdr because we feel it's the best food on the ship without paying more for it. I still have a dress that I haven't worn so I guess I'll slip it on. Makeup and hair will just need to be touched up a little and then I'm good to go. Read Less

We booked the Breeze out of Galveston after having lucked-into a fantastic deal on airfare and finding only two choices available for our dates; the other being RCCL's Liberty of the Seas, which we have sailed before as well as having sailed it's sister, the Freedom, recently. We thought to change it up a little and with 3 previous Carnival cruises under our belts, we felt like we knew what we were getting and could be satisfied with it. We were mistaken. The Breeze, although one of Carnival's largest and having many of it's "best" features, was a big disappointment. I've always objected to the rather nasty characterization of Carnival as being the WalMart of cruiselines (and hey, I'm a frequent WalMart shopper myself), but this ship makes it hard to deny. The Breeze is an ode to cheap ceramic tiles, fake woodgrain and miles of plastic wall paneling. It's honestly the least attractive ship we've ever seen and although wear-and-tear is to be expected, it appears to have been abused by passengers in some unique ways. Worse, it's NOT CLEAN and there's really no excuse for that. I've seen nicer and cleaner public bathrooms in truck-stops and the pool and sundecks were grungy and gross. The art installation in the atrium consists of multiple levels of fabric "lanterns" suspended on wire cables - they maybe should have thought about how to keep them clean before putting them up. Visible very plainly through the glass elevators, the lanterns are filthy and stained with splashes and splotches of god-knows-what and the cables are fuzzy with accumulated dust. Grafitti and willful damage to surfaces is everywhere and in the spa, rather alarming large chunks of the ceiling surface is falling off in the steam rooms. One very bright spot is the quality of the food - we ate in the MDR almost every night as well as one SeaDay Brunch and one regular breakfast. Absolutely everything we were served was of very acceptable quality and preparation and we don't hesitate to commend it. We did find the over-hyped Guy's Burgers and Pig-n-Anchor BBQ to be poor, but that's a matter of taste, I guess. Afternoon Tea on sea days was really quite lovely! On the downside, the buffet is extremely limited in selections and although there are many separate lines - they are all just a repeat of one another. It does serve to move people through quickly, but there's definitely no feeling of abundance and a lavish spread, it is NOT. We tried almost everything the Breeze had to offer in terms of recreation and entertainment, except the waterslides. There was enough to keep us busy during the day and we enjoyed the Trivia sessions and the deck games (bean-bag toss, big chess, etc.). The mini-golf was, well, just so basic compared to the attractive and whimsical courses on other ships, but in fairness, the equipment was all present and in good condition. The 3-D Thrill Theater was an EPIC FAIL and although nobody is expecting Disney-quality, it honestly sucked. We purchased a Thermal Suite pass and spent time daily in the T-pool and steam/relaxation area; all were in working order although definitely needing some maintenance and housekeeping. My husband had several spa treatments and got a rather excellent haircut at the salon. Evening entertainment is, to our taste, very poor. 3 nights out of 7 there was nothing staged in the showroom and the "Playlist Productions" vary based on the quality of the sound engineering. The "Country Road" show was awful; practically impossible to hear the vocals. "Flick" was actually quite good with some wind effects and laser lights that impressed. Punchliners is alternately either not very funny (the family shows) or extremely vulgar and filthy (the 18+ shows). Neither really appeal to us. The Casino is a loud, crowded, stinky nightmare - 'nuff said. We do love Seaside Theater, but unfortunately the scheduling didn't allow us to enjoy many of the showings and the screen is terribly pixilated - well overdue for repair or replacement. We watched one pay-per-view movie and the price was a very fair $4.99. Service-wise, well, what can you say? All cruiselines, in our experience, have pared things down to a very minimal level and Carnival is no exception. Our cabin was serviced by a "ghost" - we never once saw him/her nor did he/she introduce themselves or ever inquire about our needs. I had read that cabin service has been reduced to once a day but hoped I misunderstood - nope. We received very, very minimal service once per day, at random times between 9:00am and 8:00pm, which consisted only of changing the towels, freshening up the bathroom, dumping the trash can and making the bed. (Yes, there were towel animals). Our glasswear wasn't changed once all week nor was there any attempt made to tidy our things. Disappointing, but I guess no worse than any 2-star hotel. We made a couple of stops to Guest Services for various things and found the pursers to be very pleasant and efficient, but we didn't really tax them very far. The crew members in the shops were also friendly and helpful. Bar staff were the worst; although we're not "regulars" we are polite and always add a gratuity; there was no excuse for some of the gruff discourtesy we encountered. Lastly and it truly can't go without mention - every unpleasant stereotype ever hurled about the party atmosphere and low-brow behavior of Carnival passengers came to life on this trip. We saw more loud, aggressive, sloppy drunks, witnessed more alterations and rude, boorish conduct and heard more vulgar language in this 7 days than on all our other time at sea combined. Not only will we not sail Carnival again, for this reason alone I could simply never recommend it - there's nobody I know that wouldn't have been disgusted. Read Less

Arrived in Galveston the day before and glad we did due to road construction, two separate wrecks, and stormy weather. The next morning we Allowed 2 hours for the drive from Webster to Cruise Terminal in Galveston and were still over an hour late for our a Check In time so we were sent to the holding area for Early/Late Check In. My husband dropped off me and our luggage at the Terminal, drove to parking lot and rode their shuttle back to the Ship. Wait time was minimal with the biggest delay coming from standing in line with others carrying (sneaking) on wine etc and the staff repeatedly explaining what could/could not bring on board. Our Cabin was not clean on arrival (same trash/dirty was on floor in bathroom and by bed all week) . There were blood stains on shower curtain and window curtain in front of the door leading to balcony - GROSS. Sofa was stained and smelled bad. Bed pillows smelled terrible as did the duvet cover! We were in a Spa Balcony and were surprised the Robes smelled dirty too! The toilets would occasionally stop flushing and during the entire cruise (7 DAYS) the Ship smelled like a SEWER! Cabins, Hallways, Bathrooms, Dining Rooms, Lido, Spa, elevators, EVERYWHERE! Even after large Tips, our Steward did not understand special requests (ice in the ice bucket) and often left dirty dishes in cabin all day. Also had issues getting toilet paper restocked! I’ve cruised many times and although I try to keep my expectations low, from Day 1 the food was not what we usually experience on Carnival. Guys Burger had no flavor, the fries were undercooked, and they ran out of burgers several different days. We ate at The Steakhouse the first and last nights (our Anniversary) and found the food to be just okay: baked potatoes were undercooked, meat was overcooked, and staff was rude. The food at Italian Restaurant was bland and overcooked all week. I mainly ate Salads and unripe fruit at the Buffet for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was just okay. Food in the Dining Room was the worst we ever had on a cruise and worse than a freezer-burnt frozen TV dinner. Entertainment was so-so as usual. Casino was full of smoke and hot air so we avoided it. Musical Entertainment was enjoyable. Overall Service was mediocre. I had two separate bouts of Diarrhea so I missed 2 Shore Excursions but my Husband enjoyed them until people were getting stung by jellyfish! Debarking was a nightmare as usual when you aren’t in a Suite and don’t have Priority. Had to leave our Cabin at 8:30. Passengers had already filled the Elevators, (and stairwells) rode up and down, and refused to get off until their Deck/Zone were called. Sat in designated waiting zone til 10:45 when we were called to line up to Debark. Finally off Ship by 12 Noon. Lines moved smoothly through Customs and again found ourselves outside, in the rain, waiting for our Parking Lot Shuttle to return. FYI Parking Lot Staffers are more interested in getting new passengers to the Ship than getting you to your parked Car in their lot for some reason. We cruise out of Galveston because it is convenient and the cost is less than other Cruise Lines so This was our second cruise this year to new ports. Maybe the Breeze needs refreshing and hopefully it will get it before it goes back into Service after leaving Galveston. We sail on the Vista next May and hope our experience is better. Read Less

This was a 20th anniversary cruise for the Mrs. and I. We originally booked a balcony cabin but a few months later I remembered how much she liked the cloud 9 spa. A couple of calls later I moved our booking to the extended balcony suite on deck 11. Arrival was as per usual other than the driving thunderstorm that greeted us in Galveston. The Premier guest lounge was nice with a decent selection of coffee, water, and treats. Entry onto the ship was uneventful. Having purchases FTF (highly recommended) our stateroom was ready when we arrived onboard. We just dropped off our carry on packs (always recommended to bring some necessities in a pack just in case something happens to your luggage) and started exploring the ship (and waiting for the ship to depart and the casino to open) Once underway we did encounter some heavy seas but the ship handled it with aplomb and seasickness wasnt an issue (travel tip , Ginger Root pills work as well for most people as dramamine and dont have any of the side effects) and we never felt concerned. The dining room was ok and the staff very attentive, however the Steakhouse was AWESOME, highly recommended ! The sushi bar was quite nice as well. On deck 10 Guys burgers was much better than you might be inclined to believe and Tandoor on the aft had lots of interesting things to try as well. The casino was nicely staffed and were always at hand to fetch a drink for you, however if you are sensitive to smoke, a filter mask might be appropriate. While cigars are not allowed, cigarettes and vape pipes were very prevalent. The water park is a good hour of fun for adults and the adventure course was a hoot as well. We missed the show (casino was being nice to us) but did hear rave reviews for other folks that saw it. At port we did Tabiana beach and got some great snorkeling done and saw LOTS of fish, lobster, and other colorful coral (another quick tip, a ziplock bag with dog biscuits in it will bring fish to eat right out of your hand) We also did a snorkel and paddleboard excursion, it was nice but "contained" in that you had to stay with the group, unlike Tabiana where you did and swam where you liked. The Cloud 9 spa was a dream for the Mrs. and we did a couples hot stone massage that was quite nice. The Mrs. Did several other activities there. the Therapy pool was great after a day of swimming and working the currents. Disembarkation was quick and easy (another plus for suite guests or FTF) meeting in the ovation theater around 0800 we were off the ship by 0845. Customs and TABC were a little stricter than other cruises we have been on (mainly due to Belize and trafficking) but were polite and quick. The porter was very helpful and got the bags situated. One thing we did discuss was our next cruise. We have decided the next cruise will be a last minute 4-5 day "Vagabond" cruise. We both agreed to limiting ourselves to what we can carry in our daypacks ONLY. No additional baggage. Also going to try an interior cabin as well as we have only cruised on balcony or suite cabins. We wanted to sail on the Breeze before it leaves Galveston. We have sailed 3 times on the Dream and wanted to compare the two ships. We loved the Breeze. We always enjoy the Cove balcony rooms and room 2365 was very nice and very convenient. The entertainment was excellent-there was live music all over the ship. The Red Frog pub is lots of fun. The atrium is a great place to wait for dinner. Anytime dining was well organized and we usually had only a short wait for a table to two. The ship was packed full but the staff was always professional and helpful. Breakfast every day in the dining room was delicious. We also enjoyed very early room service for coffee on our balcony. The lido pools were very busy on sea days but the Serenity Deck was a pleasant retreat. The Cloud 9 Spa is beautiful and I enjoyed using my week long pass for the various special rooms and thermo pool. All the food was good-the pasta restaurant for lunch, the barbecue on sea days, and the convenient light meals in the Ocean Plaza. The dining room staff were excellent and made sure our food met our needs. The shows were very nice and the large Texas Crowd enjoyed the special attention they received. The Military Celebratiion was outstanding with over 75 Military and first responders being recognized. Very Patiotic and touching. Thank you Carnival for seven wonderful days. Read Less
