We are a family of four from Montreal, Canada, who cruise extensively. We have 9 previous cruises with Carnival, 22 overall. This trip was supposed to be husband, wife, and son only, but my daughter’s school trip to Europe was cancelled at the very last minute due to “the virus that shall not be named”, so we had to scramble to book her to travel with us. We got absolutely killed on airfare, but ...
Consensus among some was that Carnival is implementing more cost cutting measures on board. Ship still in good shape and service from stateroom staff is still great, but availability of staff elsewhere can be lacking.
Resupply of out of stock restaurant/bar items did not seem to occur during the cruise. The most obvious seeming cost cutting is the food; In the Lido, proteins, with FEW ...
Embarkation was great. We arrived at Cape Canaveral around 10:30 a.m. and we were able to board before noon. The Carnival Breeze is a beautiful ship. Since our cruise was in October the ship was decorated for Halloween and had several activities on board that were Halloween related. Our dining experience was not what we have experienced in the past on Carnival. We had early dining in the Sapphire ...
We chose this cruise because we wanted to see the pink sand of Bermuda. Unfortunately Hurricane Jerry wanted to go there too. So it's still on our bucket list. It came as no surprise when I got the email 2 days before we sailed that the itinerary had been changed. We went to Puerto Rico , Dominican Republic and Turks and Caicos. Turks and Caicos was our favorite. The color of the water was ...
This is my 3rd cruise on the Breeze, once in 2014 and I decided I would not sail her again. Then my sister and I were looking for a cheap getaway, the pricing was good, so with some hesitation I booked the Breeze in July.
We had a great time, the food was a marked improvement, entertainment good and service excellent.
Then I booked the Bermuda cruise for September 21, with another couple. ...
My family and I had 3 balcony cabins (9235, 9231, and 9227) on the Breeze last week that we paid a quite a bit of money for, considering what we typically pay for a balcony on Carnival.
1. Embarkation was a Breeze - no pun intended
2. Food - I am by no means a "foodie" but I paid a couple days to buy food at the Red Frog Pub and the sushi restaurant for the following reasons. The food ...
A little about us. Family of 5, grown kids ages 18,19,23. Been cruising for 25 years. Over 30 cruises. Generally like different aspects of Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian. To be more specific, enjoy the ship amenities of RCCL, we love the Haven experience on NCL and we have always thought Carnival had the best food and service.
Unfortunately, this Carnival cruise did not meet with ...
I went on a family reunion cruise with 11 of my family members with 3 rooms being balconies and the other three inside cabins. We picked the Breeze for the family vibe and the islands and it was a good trip but Carnival had its ups and downs.
Pros
The food was very good. We especially liked the dinners in the hall and the specialty burger, bbq and tacos places. The buffet was perfectly ...
The did have stuff to do. Most of the ports were beautiful. Some of the staff was awesome, some were obviously disgruntled. We actually witnessed servers arguing on the floor on multiple occasions. My biggest complaint however is the fact that your food is supposed to be included. However after an excursion, you come back hungry and only two places that were included were open. So unless you ...
I recently took my last cruise on a Carnival cruise ship. I was hoping that Carnival would wow me with a Fun experience that blew me away... but that didn't happen. Don't get me wrong, I was on a cruise ship sailing to amazing locations so I made my own fun and had a great time. No sour grapes here... just the reality that Carnival is not for me.
The ship in general rocked and rolled more ...
