Balcony (8D) Cabin Reviews

Cabin was just average but the maintenance that prevented me from enjoying the balcony for 2.5 days made it not worth the money. Brian, our cabin steward kept it clean and our ice bucket filled.

Most things went well on our cruise. We had a great room Steward, Jhonny. He exceeded our expectations in every way. We really enjoyed the towel Animals and it was nice to have fresh Ice Everyday for cold drinks. jJhonny always laid our Fun Times News Letter on our nicely made bed beside his Towel Animal Creation for the Day. Jhonny was very considerate and personable. We high fived him in the hallway. We gave him an extra tip at the end in addition to our Prepaid Gratuities as well as a gift bag at the beginning. We had a good one last year too on the Vista. We loved Jhonny this year. Hope to get him again in the future. Read Less

Seemed like a standard balcony cabin. Deck 5 does wrap around so had views of the hot tub a little ways down and a huge checkboard many people played on. Also, could see out to sea and the islands while coming into port very well. Noise was not an issue as we connected to my parents next door, but could be an issue if you didn’t know the people connected in 8280. The room had a lot more storage space than many of the other carnival ships I’ve been on, especially shelving. The tv did not pop out or turn as well as I would’ve liked. Resulting in no access to the USB outlet on the tv. Lights have to have a card put in or they will randomly turn off which was different. The cabin had some wear and tear, but overall was very nice and worked well for 2 people. Our cabin steward was also top notch. The room is only a little ways away from the elevator and had an access close by to see down to the atrium. I liked the location as it wasn’t very hard to get to anything. Read Less

Cabin- 8421 Balcony Room was clean, nice and spacious. It over looked the Promenade. Our daughter, her husband and our grandson stayed in the stateroom across the hall (8419). Convenient to have them close to us. We've done that before. The Balconies are NO Smoking. There's rust on the balcony, but there is rust on all cruise ships if you're looking for it. They're at sea, therefore creating rust. But it was clean. And with the fog setting everything back 2 hours on the first day, I ended up cleaning my room myself, always travel with Clorox travel wipes. They supply shampoo, body wash, bar soap and a blow dryer. Read Less
