We booked the Legend for its embarkation port (Baltimore is 1.5 hours from us), itinerary (just Bermuda - a place we've been before and LOVED), and size of ship as it was our 2-year-old's first cruise (and our first cruise as parents). Chose this ship because it sailed out of our home port area. The convince of leaving from a home port is a plus. This was our third cruise but first time on Carnival. I wasn’t as impressed as I was on our Royal Caribbean cruises but we still had a great time. The dinning room food was just okay and shows were good but not enough variety.

This ship stayed overnight in Bermuda, an Island we had wanted to visit. Also a smaller Carnival ship. We chose this cruise because it left from our usual cruise port and was going to Bermuda.
The port was Canaveral which we find exceptionally efficient! Embarkation processing was as fast as we could walk. Cabins were ready by 1:30 and our luggage showed up prior to dinner (we did not have FTTF or elite status).
