So we were changed to the Venezia after booking our Bermuda cruise earlier, this wasn't necessarily a problem other than our Aft Balcony on Deck 7 was moved to Deck 2. Let me start by saying the ship is beautiful, great decor, clean, nice ship overall. So why 3 out of 5 overall? First, the Italian theme is not working at all. I love Italian food and culture, which was all painfully absent. People ...
Here is your review:
My wife and chose this cruise for a quick getaway. However once on board we found the ship felt over-booked. Long lines at the elevators, narrow hallways, and small buffet areas explained why this ship was bought used. It seems like it just is not big enough. The buffet areas are small and the issue is made worse by carnival operating only one buffet per meal time. The ...
The food and service were good.
Ship was clean and well kept.
Clientele was a bit of a rough crowd, with drugs obviously present and drug dogs and drug busts on board.
A fair amount of free activities to pass the time; cornhole, mini-golf, ping-pong.
Floors were very slippery at times and several falls were witnessed.
The lines for all food other than buffets were almost always ...
After hearing that Carnival was taking over this ship and sending it to NYC, it was a no brainer to book. Plus I wanted to be on the ship's maiden arrival to Bermuda. The ship is a big step forward for Carnival, once it works out the new ship kinks, it should offer a great product for the brand. My family was skeptical over a few features (i.e the lido and its pool) but once we got on board our ...
We cruised the maiden voyage from New York to Bermuda on the Carnival Venezia, the ship was small the food was so so.
The night before we were to disembark the cruise lines ran out of luggage tags meaning we were to carry our luggage off the ship. We made it to the escalator and asked the Carnival cruise lines representee if we could take the elevator and we were told to take the escalator, my ...
Loved the destination of Bermuda and a driveable port--Norfolk, VA. Embarkation was challenging because Norfolk is not set up for cruises of over 3000 people. Very slow and disorganized. Get there before your assigned time and be prepared to wait. Once on the ship, everything was nearly perfect the whole week. Only complaint was our dinner dining room waiters did not get our dinner orders ...
We booked the Legend for its embarkation port (Baltimore is 1.5 hours from us), itinerary (just Bermuda - a place we've been before and LOVED), and size of ship as it was our 2-year-old's first cruise (and our first cruise as parents). I read a ton of reviews, looked at a ton of pictures, and watched a million videos - so I knew exactly what to expect from the ship.
Embarkation was a breeze. ...
Chose this ship because it sailed out of our home port area. The convince of leaving from a home port is a plus. This was our third cruise but first time on Carnival. I wasn’t as impressed as I was on our Royal Caribbean cruises but we still had a great time. The dinning room food was just okay and shows were good but not enough variety.
We enjoyed the Best of Bermuda excursion. Though 5 ...
Carnival Cruise Line is known as the Fun Ships and they definitely are fun! This was my 7th Carnival Cruise and 9th overall cruise.
We boarded the Carnival Magic in Manhattan New York. The boarding process was pretty easy and very organized. The only problem with Manhattan Terminal is that they do not let you wait anywhere, so you have to arrive on time and depart quickly.
For those of you ...
I struggle with this review...we've only sailed on Carnival, this was our 9th cruise, and this was our first cruise post-covid. Of our 9 cruises, 7 have been from NYC due to its proximity to our home. Overall it was a fine cruise, nothing super great, nothing super bad, but just some wear and tear on the brand that we're seeing:
1) Embarkation. We actually felt that this was wonderful, ...
