Poor activity planning, communication, good sun decks, water features and comedy

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Liberty

While food and drinks were available almost 24 hours, the activities were poorly communicated and most events were only in the evenings between 7:30 and 11, right in the middle of our dinner hour. Prior cruises I have been on had piano bar, karaoke, dance lessons etc ongoing throughout the afternoons, early evenings as well. The cruise seemed more interested in selling alcohol than getting people ...

Great Christmas get away for the family

This was my first cruise so I had no idea what to expect. Although, it took forever to get on the ship, I was greeted with champagne by very friendly crew members. Throughout the entire cruise, there was a very laid back attitude on the cruise. It was fun with plenty of things to do. We met some very nice people that we still stay in contact with and plan to go on a cruise with them. My grandson ...

Carnival Downhill - Liberty Beware

I chose this particular cruise to enable us to join some friends for Christmas. We had 3 cabins on the Veranda deck. Because we booked late the only way we could be together / adjacent was near the rear. We were originally booked on the Valor which I had investigated to ensure our adjacent cabin balconies could be adjoined and that we would have the services of the Carnival hub to ...

Carnival pulled a bait-and-switch.

My family and I (4 adults) have been bitten by the cruise bug, and wanted to do something a little different for Christmas. This was our third cruise, all with Carnival, as we had an excellent time on our previous two (the Paradise, which is a bit tiny and outdated, but still managed to provide some fun; and the Magic, which was fantastic and definitely made my mom's 65th birthday special). We ...

Holiday Cruise! Great way to spend the christmas holiday! I went on this cruise with my boyfriend and family. We all had a fantastic time. The cruise went from Baltimore, MD to South Carolina, Florida, Nassau, and Freeport. The Ship & Cabin My boyfriend and I had a balcony. The balcony was fantastic. My only complaint is the bed. The bed was not the most comfortable thing. It was not ...

Overall I have rated it 4 stars because overall we did enjoy it and I was aware of its shortcomings and such prior to booking. My party consisted of the parents and 3 children 10-16. Bottom line upfront: This is a cruise geared towards adults with plenty of activities to keep the kids busy. If you are into drinking and hanging out at bars you would rate this a 5 star cruise. Even ...

Not a Cruise Person

Christmas cruise for myself and 17-year-old son - paid for Faster to the Fun, a complete waste, did not get on ship until almost 1pm. Room was open and not vacuumed. Went to lunch and returned, room had been vacuumed. Later that evening I was in the bathroom (sitting in the bathroom, if you know what I mean), assistant cabin boy walked in the cabin without knocking and proceeded to walk INTO THE ...

Beautiful ship, classic decor, just the right size

We chose this cruise for a few reasons: This is our 4th year traveling at Christmas, we wanted to go somewhere warm(er), the port is 2 hours from our home, and the ship was not overly large. This was definitely a good choice. We got an 8k extended balcony because hubby & I are both introverts and like to get away to ourselves. This also proved to be a good choice. We found a good variety of ...

Disappointing

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Pride

This was a family (9 people) X-mas cruise and one of the worst I've been on. This has been my 9th cruise and all but one with carnival. The service on past ships has been fine but the Pride was a huge disappointment. This an older ship so there were a lot of run down areas and you'd often see damaged walls and flooring that was not fixed. Our balcony was dirty and old looking. I order chicken ...

Good afternoon, My name is Sherman Foster. My stateroom was 4169. I travelled on Carnival-Pride from Sunday, 12/18 and returned on Monday, 12/26. I had a great vacation. It has been 20 years since I have been on a cruise. The dinner staff-(early: 6pm seating: #107) was absolutely great. I am sure the group I was with really wore on their patience. However, your Dining Team never complained. ...
