This was the worst experience ever for my first cruise, which was an anniversary gift to ourselves. We were delayed in boarding the ship for over 4 hours and only received a mere $15.00 pp for our inconvenience. When we finally sat down for dinner and placed our order, my order was fumbled for I received raw steak when I specifically requested well done. Upon receiving my new steak,I was served cold ...
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! My husband & I went with 40 other Realtors from NC & SC for a Continuing Education trip. We were supposed to be on a 5 day Bahama cruise but we were informed Tuesday night/Wednesday morning that the ship was delayed due to inclement weather, that was NOT what my forecast had in the Bahamas the previous weekend and the ship had been in DRY DOCK for multi million dollar ...
We decided to take this cruise out of Charleston SC because we have two children and being from North Carolina it was easier for us to get to..... That being said i think thats the only positive.
We recieved a phone call from carnival the night before that the ship was going to be late and to come 5 hours later than scheduled. We get down ther 5 hours later we were denied entry to the parking ...
As a Platinum Carnival Cruiser this was a terrible cruise. The ship was 5 hours late (phone call made to my home phone in Virginia). Chaos the first day. Our room had "no ice bucket, or other things". The dining was 3 stooges like. We spent 2 hours for 3 courses (appey, dinner, desert). Our room was only cleaned once per day. As Platimum cruisers we get extra parks...we had to go to guest servcies ...
The Bad
1.)Ship was 5 hours late, did not sail form port until after 10:00 pm
2.)Pool was empty for half of the trip so no swimming.
3.)there were multiple busted water lines causing us to walk though soggy carpet the whole trip,
4.)the ship stunk from the water leaks
5.)The TV. in our room was only coming in black and white, when it wasn't freezing up.
6.)Poor service form the ...
This cruse left at 11pm - not at 4pm as planned. Forget the bubbles program that night- they will not refund a day- since you had an hour to drink. After we boarded at 9.30pm- they shut the food and drinks down for the safety meeting- It took an hour to get people together and go through the meeting. They had everyone go upstairs to the lifeboats. So you just stand there- no one explains ...
This ship was delayed in Freeport coming out of dry dock due to storms. It is a long story but it was a mess! We were to leave Charleston, SC at 4pm, It was about 10 pm or a little later that we departed the dock. I actually purchased for the first time the Faster to the fun pass. Was a waste of money and they did refund it. The ship was very dirty compared to others I have been on. Maybe ...
While this cruise/ship is not the most elegant, it certainly is a lot of value.
Our cabin was quite adequate (an inside cabin) as we spend very little time in it.
The food was quite good, especially in the dining room, but it is not quite as good as on previous Carnival cruises.
We found the staff to be excellent. They were quick, competent, and remarkably friendly.

My wife and I and another couple sailed out of Tampa in January. We drove up to Tampa from Port Charlotte and used the valet parking which got us to Faster to the Fun even faster.
Our cabin (8192) was ready but our bags did not arrive until after the safety drill. Not a big deal.
All four of us had the drink package. At a little over $100 per day per couple we thought it was worth ...
Menu was limited and below expectations. Service at dinner was very slow. Poor variety and very little seafood. Music onboard was below expectations as well. Would have liked more / better activities as well. However the crew was fantastic. No complaints about how were treated onboard.
Our excursion were great with the exception of Roatan, The private beach we went to was a huge money pit. ...
