First let me give full disclosure-- I'm not a cruiser. Cruising isn't for me, im too restless.
That being said -- here's my takes
The good-- man the staff here are so wonderful. We haven't had a bad interaction on our 9 day stay. Jennifer, Olivia, Igor,Vlad, Jefferson. Excellent human beings and bar tenders. Our room was well taken care of by Lloyd. The whole cruise, staff wise, just ...
The ship was not the best . It was kept clean I will say that . But the casino is in the middle of the ship and the smoke travels all over . It’s ridiculous. And to get to the main dining room you have to walk thru it or go up a floor and then back down . It was just a stupid location. The elevators take so long .
The food isn’t very good at all . The canal restaurant is where we ate . The ...
This was my second Carnival cruise.Boarded at Port Canaveral easy drive from Orlando so consider hiring a car if you have a few people in your group.
Loved the overall look of the ship the Mardi Gras but not as easy to get familiarized and find your way around. Many dining options included and loved the layout of buffet area in smaller rooms. Dining room experience less than I am used to ...
The Cruise was fun. The weather causing excursions to be cancelled was disappointing. We were refunded and understand the weather was not Carnivals fault but seeing in Turks there was just a drizzle we couldn’t understand and never received an explanation for why our excursion was cancelled or why we were just notified when we got to the excursion point leaving no chance to schedule something new. ...
At first, we were really disappointed with the Dream. Then, things kind of turned around a little during the final sea days.
The good things:
-- The ship and staterooms seemed very clean.
-- The Alchemy Bar was a kick. Engaging, professional bartenders. Good drinks (although not cheap at $14 for a cocktail).
-- The Bonsai Japanese restaurant was one of our favorites. The food and ...
We decided on this cruise as it was out of NYC and we didn't need to fly. We weren't on Carnival for a long time but we knew it was a party crowd.
The Good
The ship is beautiful and easy to get around.
There are many free food options. Guy's burgers were the best we have had on cruises. The deli sandwiches were excellent plus Mexican taco bar.
Dining Room Food It was generally ...
Picked this cruise with 4 of my other friends -
when I say for a first time cruiser i was NOT impressed. The buffet was minimum - the restaurant service along with the food was very displeasing with the portions and just feeling rushed to put your order in.
This was a small cruise line but the amount of people it held wherever you walked to/ went it was packed constantly- waiting in lines ...
Venezia was expected to be a new ship, hence excellent in every respect.
Instead, it somewhat disappointed me. It was the first Carnival ship in my cruising history that does not have a spacious inside atrium with panoramic elevators and large open space. Instead it has the "Piazza San Marco" place that is quite compact and spans just 3 decks high, something like a big burrow inside the ship. ...
The Venezia is a beautiful ship. The food in the MDR is eh... specialty restaurants were very good. entertainment was fun. I will not travel on this ship again due to the smokiness from this casino. The smoke is unavoidable as you must walk through to get to certain parts of the ship. The smoke drifts out to other areas of the ship as well. I was lucky to have brought an inhaler with me. ...
Myself my husband, my Mother and my Grandmother all went on this cruise to the Bahamas. We live in central PA and took Amtrak into the city and a cab from the train station to the cruise terminal (which was very affordable). Once we arrived at the terminal we saw a very long line along the whole front of the terminal and down the street. This was my 9th cruise and I have NEVER seen a line like ...
