Me, my husband and son decided to take a short cruise for Easter holidays up to Airlie beach. We haven’t cruised since COVID so we were very much looking forward to it but it did not meet our expectations. This ship is old, I’m not sure what had apparently been renovated you certainly can’t tell and there really is not a lot to do.
The food was a huge disappointment. I don’t think I’ve been ...
We love cruising & trying new cruiselines but this 4 day Easter cruise to Moreton Island has turned me off Carnival Cruiselines. They say they have capacity of 3,012 but kept saying they had over 3,900 onboard - so I reported them & was told they are registered to take 3,948, which they do when filling every bunk and sofa! Problem is the ship is not really made to cater for about 4,000 ...
Carnival Spirit is old and has not updated for over 8 years. Even when updated lots of original items remain; bathrooms and carpets are outdated.
Food gets worse each year, especially for someone who prepares meals each day with fresh food.
Long lines everywhere.
Transportation from airport to ship is horrific! Not worth paying for this service, figure on waiting hours at the airport ...
I like to cruise and when I do I prefer it to be to new locations and on different ships. The Luminosa has made me question this approach given I definitely didn't get the ship I expected.
The Luminosa apparently and sold as recently refurbished, if that is the case I would have hated to see it before, a rebranding might be more accurate. ie sticking Carnival stickers where Costa once ...
I wasn't expecting such high quality service, food and entertainment and was nicely surprised sailing on the Luminosa. We've sailed before on the RC and always felt like it was over crowded and really busy, but on the Luminosa we always felt like we had heaps of space and there were always sun lounges around the pool. We had a balcony room and really worth the extra being able to look out and ...
We chose this cruise as it was reasonably priced, a great time of year and had an absolute fabulous time. The first night was a bit of a disaster as we were out in a side dining area where the service was appalling and food was cold by the time we received it plus had to get our own drinks. I made a complaint to head manager and we found the problem solved for the rest of the cruise. We always ...
I received an email advertising a really good price for a 7 day South Pacific cruise and jumped in
I have traveled on Princess and Royal Caribbean and was keen to compare
One very important item when boarding, ensure you have a hard copy or screen shot of your insurance certificate that clearly shows you are covered for Covid and cruising
My document stated international Covid cover but ...
Our experience with Carnival was very good, that's why we decided to go on 10 Days cruise around Pacific Islands - march 2023.
Cabin, food, restaurants, was all as we would remember from the previous experience.
Entertaiment, however - very poor, nothing good, boring and cheap.
We purchased an apple watch (another remainder to ourselves - not to buy staff like this on the ...
We originally booked this cruise back in 2019, but it got cancelled because of the pandemic. We booked again but our cruise got cancelled 3 more times. Finally, we were able to take this cruise from Sydney, Australia. The first thing I noticed when boarding is the ship is VERY pink. But that didn't bother me, I thought it added to the experience. You enter the ship via the massive, breathtaking ...
With storms the week prior, we were certainly lucky in our timing for calm seas, endless sunshine and no rain during the seven days we sailed from Brisbane to New Caledonia and return.
We prepaid for the Cloud 9 Spa package.
The Cloud 9 Spa was well appointed with a myriad of wet, dry, warm and cool spaces to relax and enjoy. A nice number of guests meant that the experience was neither ...
