Carnival Australia & New Zealand Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Overall the ship was really nice the staff were excellent, however the food was terrible, up at the Buffett it was hit or miss, either dried out and cold or over cooked so much it was uneatable. The toasted sandwich bar was good but always that busy you had to stand in a line for twenty minutes. The old fashion BBQ now that was a joke always dried out and cold. The main restaurant had some good ...

Worst Cruise Ship I have Experienced

Iam a seasoned cruiser that have cruised around Australia and the world over the past 25 years. This cruise ship is the worst that I have experienced. During the cruise I was aware of the lack of hygiene protocols on board and was constantly washing my hands with soap and water when ever possible and also using the hand sanitizer in the buffet and food area. On the second day after arriving home ...

This was our third cruise with carnival. The first two being prior to covid. The boat is like a big floating RSL club. Super understaffed compared to last trips and way over crowded. The line at buffet was 20 minutes , to get pizza or bar service was even worse due to minimal staff. Tender boats have also been reduced to two boats for entire ship to get to the shore, so we waited 5 hours ...

Worst cruise ever - being covid negative and being locked in a cabin with a covid positive person - what do you think happened?

BOARDING: This cruise did not start well. The line to board was not something I have ever experienced before - as this was my 15th cruise I had experienced everything from "almost instant boarding" to "wait in line" but nothing prepared us for the more than three hour wait - and we had already done the online check in! The ship was supposed to leave at 4pm, but they hadn't boarded all the ...

No information regarding port or boarding processes rude unhelpful staff. My kids were so bored they said they wanted to jump overboard . Food was average lined up like being served at a homeless shelter. Drunk domestics kept us awake for hours security should of sorted it not let it go on all night with yelling foul language and kids screaming. I spoke to guest services about it and no air con ...

Me, my husband and son decided to take a short cruise for Easter holidays up to Airlie beach. We haven’t cruised since COVID so we were very much looking forward to it but it did not meet our expectations. This ship is old, I’m not sure what had apparently been renovated you certainly can’t tell and there really is not a lot to do. The food was a huge disappointment. I don’t think I’ve been ...

WAY too overcrowded and chaotic - my worst cruise ever

We love cruising & trying new cruiselines but this 4 day Easter cruise to Moreton Island has turned me off Carnival Cruiselines. They say they have capacity of 3,012 but kept saying they had over 3,900 onboard - so I reported them & was told they are registered to take 3,948, which they do when filling every bunk and sofa! Problem is the ship is not really made to cater for about 4,000 ...

Poor communication and poor health protocols and poor cabin.

I got a good deal (I thought) of $890 AUD for a balcony cabin and $900 AUD OBC. I should have known that it was too good to be true (especially when the American cruisers told me what they were paying). Embarkation was a total farce. We were told that we had to show a negative RAT result, 24 hrs prior. No one ever asked to see it. When we finally got on board, we waited by the lifts until, ...

We had chosen and booked this cruise before the pandemic. It was canceled and reset many times do to the COVID outbreaks on ships and the lack of testing procedures laid out by the government and agreed upon by the cruiselines. We had set this cruise with 8 other people and were excited to meet up with them on this January 29. 2023 cruise out of Sydney. We were flying from the US about 9,000 miles ...
