We selected this cruise based on the dates more than anything else. We wanted to be away for Christmas and New Years and we had to work with the school schedule since we were traveling with a kid. We flew in the night before to Fort Lauderdale and stayed at the Courtyard Fort Lauderdale Beach. For a hotel to spend a night at before the cruise, it was fine. We took their cruise shuttle to the ship. Embarkation was fine. We got there around 1:30 to avoid the rush. We had done all of the "Ocean Ready" stuff and had all of the pre-registration done that we could do ahead of time. We are also Platinum. But for some reason they made us get into the general boarding line. Since the line was so short, it didn't matter. We got through quickly. The ship is almost done with the Ocean Medallion roll-out but we still got the Medallion and a cruise card. Please note that the cruise card came in a plastic sleeve attached to a lanyard with the medallion. The card was very loose in the sleeve and on several occasions it slipped out. Be warned! The CB has had a lot of upgrades on it. The new buffet was great and we enjoyed it. They also converted the old Cafe Caribe into a BBQ place, Planks, and a crab shack, Steamers. Note that you CAN sit and eat in there for breakfast and lunch without paying a cover charge. The charges only apply for dinner. Let's talk a minute about the Ocean Medallion. There are some features to talk about. First, it opens the door. Now the exact same functionality was served by the cruise card. My medallion didn't work as I approached, I had to take it out of my pocket and hold it up to the screen and then my door would open. So I found it exactly the same as a cruise card and it didn't save me any time. So no difference there. The other feature that we used was that we could go up to any of the large monitors in the hallways and track our shipmates. I found this very useful because we were traveling with our son and every now and then we needed to track him down and this worked great. This was the only feature of the Medallion that I found to be of benefit. The other feature that the "Ocean Navigators" (Princess Staff lurking around the halls who would show you how to use the Medallions) were excited to talk about was the Tagalong. So you can use the phone app or one of the large monitors on the ship to create a custom avatar and then it would appear on monitors around the ship as you walked by. Sometimes your name and face would appear. I found this creepy and weird and I couldn't figure out what the point was. A Navigator did tell me that there are times on the Lido Deck when they have games on the MUTS screen with the Tagalongs like video games. (They called it Games Under the Stars, GUTS, not the most elegant acronym.) So I guess you can have that if you like it. One of the things that Princess was advertising was being able to order bar service and such from your phone app. I didn't find this feature available and when you did order anything, they wanted your Cruise Card and not the Medallion. The only exception was at a few locations they had Medallion readers at the desk or at some of the bars so you could scan it yourself. But if you were ordering from your seat, they still needed the card. Overall, I didn't find much to enjoy or appreciate about the Medallion except the tracking feature when it came to my kid. I suspect that it's not fully developed yet though. So more to come I guess. Not to be confused with the Ocean Medallion is the new Internet product, Medallion.Net, which was EXCELLENT. Best internet access at sea right now. Stable and high-speed. Not much to say about the islands on this trip that hasn't already been said. But one point is that the CB has an engineering limitation right now that prevents her from going full speed. This will be fixed in a future drydock overhaul. There is nothing unsafe about this, but it did mean that one island was dropped from the itinerary because the ship couldn't go fast enough to get there. So Princess gave everyone $50 OBC as recompense, which was fine. Entertainment was a delight. The CD mas Micca Reitano, and the ACDs were Ana, and Dan. All three were just wonderful. However, it did appear that there were a few nights where the entertainment program was lacking. No game show in Explorers, and no production show or performer in the Theater. (Maybe just a movie or a football game... boring! We can watch movies in the cabins.) Our son really enjoyed the kid's club and they were just great with so many kids on board for the holiday cruise. They had a full slate of programming and it was thumbs up all around. One note about the cabins. They put in large flat screen TVs on an articulated wall arm. This is great. What's not so great is that the TV is above the mini-fridge and right be the slider to balcony. Because it gets hidden behind the curtains, on several occasions my spouse and I had hit our heads on the corner of the TV, since it wasn't pushed "all-the-way" back into the corner. Be warned! Overall, a great and relaxing cruise. We enjoyed it a lot. The Ocean Medallion stuff was mostly irrelevant. We would gladly do this cruise again! Read Less

The reason my family and I decided upon Princess was the length of the cruise. All other lines failed to offer a 14 day cruise. We researched the ship, it was about 14 years old, it had undergone a maintenance a couple of years ago.. The ship looked very nice from the outside, The inside looked clean, the state rooms were in good shape. The only two items I found with the ship was the lower railings on the balcony. They were heavily rusted, and the fan system in the elevators did not cycle air very well and when entering a full elevator the air quality was very poor. My family and I had never cruised before, we learned much about the how cruises work, Embarkation and debarkation was an experience we can now understand better. Our flight out was set for around 6pm EST, The ship had us out of our cabins at 8am we ended up waiting for our flight for 7 hours. It would have been nice if we could have remained aboard until later in the day and then transferred to our flight. The dining experience was enjoyable, We tried all of the food options and were satisfied, We switched our scheduled dining from 3 nights at crown grill, and 3 nights at Sabatini's to 5 nights at Crown Grill and 1 night at Sabatini's. We found that the meals were more to our liking at Crown Grill. We had multiple shore excursions and the activities aboard the ship were enjoyable, The shows were good and the times shown were spaced just right so that we could eat and get to one of the shows. Service aboard the ship was always good, with one minor exception at the Salty Dog. my son ran into an unfriendly staff problem. But the staff other than this was always helpful. The shore excursions were enjoyed by all. My wife and I are older and cannot do the things that are sons are capable of,The only area that would have helped would have been to have steps going into the excursions. The helmet dive in Aruba was great. The steps lead into the activity. The Sea Lion in St. Thomas and the Sting Ray in Antigua all had ladders to go into the pool or sea. If they could add a set of steps this would make it easier for older folks to enjoy the activities. Read Less

The Bad : Ship shakes under sail and unbelievably worse in port, especially annoying when you are dining. Common areas good condition but we had hit and miss cabins this fall and winter, some ok and some awful condition. Ship staff said they can’t update the rooms without a dry dock and the company keeps putting that off. Personally had and witnessed some negative interactions with the Guest Services Staff. As typical of the brand no built in activies for active adults and children. Just off a Christmas cruise on another ship of the brand, many families cruising and the young people were bored out of their minds. Royal Caribbean, Carnival or Norwegian would have been a better choice for a family vacation. The Good: The company has invested in Internet upgrades for this ship. Room and Dining staff generally excellent as is usual throughout the brand. Food quality and selection was on par with the brand and far superior to Royal Caribbean. Read Less

We wanted to do at least 14 days without returning to ft Lauderdale. So we choose the 14 day circle the Caribbean. The Caribbean princess now has the medallion in full use and has a negative effect on the coffee package if you don't use all 15 speciality coffees on this cruise you loose them can't carry over to next cruise. Also on this cruise food was very good in regular dinning rooms an service was very good. However the food in the specialty dinning like crown grill has gone down hill the last few Cruise's not only have the raised the price and amount but the stakes don't seem as good had to sent more than one back, the spiney crab cakes lacked the crab and paying 10 dollars extra for a small lobester tail or 39 dollars per person isn't worth it, normally we would have eaten there 3 or 4 times but was so disappointed we only made 1 visit this cruise. Our balcony cabin was nice but shows it's wear, the refrigerator shelving was missing and the door bracket was also missing, carpet had Abad stain and had to ask to get floor sweep. Also had very few hangers in room (18) not enough for two people and 14 day the outhr 3 couples with had the same probles and had to get hangers fro the laundry Dept. Many things seemed disorganized even the crew members said that the supperviseers lacked common sense and wanted them do thin backwards they also payed Little attention to what we as passengers wrote on how are we doing cards. As an elite passenger many of things we're in titled to is no longer just provided, but now are by request only and don't expect them right away have to get approved by manager. Read Less

The positives. The dining room food was excellent as was the Marketplace buffet. The BBQ at the rear does need some reorganization as the lines for the wok cooking are long. The medallion worked well around the ship. The shows in the theater were excellent The negatives. The piazza is too small for any entertainment as are someof the bars around. The sky walker bar at the back of the ship was not used at all. Who wants to go for a disco at 11 pm? The entertainment was not well organised some activities overlappedwhen one finished another had already started. There was not a lotof the usual daily activities salsa, line dancing, Apart from the pool deckthe only activity was to sit around in a bar and drink. They should take some direction from The Royal activities. The coffee card is now only useful for 14 day cruises,Unless you want both of you drinking cappuccinos every dayfor 7 days its not worth it at $35.They do need a 7 day version. The ports were ok with Trinidad added but princess needs to revamp their itinerary as it is now very repetitive. The Crown grill was very poor, steaks were tough and together with the baked potato was cold.Sent it all backbut had to wait to get the replacement and by this time we weren'thungry. Sabotinis has a new menu but who wants to pay 29 for pasta? Plus most of the items on the menu my wife does not like. Should convert it to a french bistro or a Japanese restaurant. This ship is too small for 3000 pax and 14 days is too long. Movies under the stars in the afternoon in the heat a no goat least put on a movie either in the theatre or the vista lounge at the sametime. Back to the Royal. Read Less

This cruise had the best entertainment of any previous Princess cruise. It would be hard to improve upon it. The food however, even in the "upscale" restaurants was poor. Something very wrong has occurred with the food selection and preparation on this ship. The safety drill was not adequate as life jackets were no longer required to be carried to the Muster Stations. Too many people were not paying attention to the instructions about how to put on life jackets. If passengers are not required to actually put on life jackets, this is a safety issue and panic will occur if life jackets are needed due to an emergency. I incurred $387.94 medical expenses due to an accident. A mid-ship elevator closed on my hand. I received adequate medical care and had to wear a wrist/hand brace for 12 days. An older woman was backing out of the elevator in a wheelchair and her can was beginning to drag on the floor. I thought the elevator door was going to close on the cane and placed my hand between the doors assuming the safety sensor would immediately open the door. The door closed on my hand and then, immediately opened. The cane was not closed on and the woman was not hurt. The elevator doors should be replaced with rubber "bumpers" that would lesson the above accident. We liked the larger TV's in our cabin but the TV placement was an accident in the making. From the picture I've attached you can see how easy it is to hit your head on the corner of the TV when coming into the cabin from the balcony. This is a safety issue that needs to be improved upon. I cruised with my wife and our two younger children aged 8 and 10. We chose this cruise because it fit perfectly with our schedule and I had not been to many of the ports. First: I can only share our own personal experience. Embarkation. This was so smooth, I was almost flabbergasted because we waited in no lines at all as we boarded the ship around noon. We had done all the pre work for the medallion which I think expedited things a bit. We were able to enjoy a nice sit down lunch onboard which was a great way to start things off. Princess Air: I do have to include a note on this. We booked the air through Princess. First, so that we were guaranteed no problems. Didn't want to miss the cruise because of flight issues. And they were having a sale. Even with the sale, prices were only close to competitive and not actually discount. Our flight from SFO to FLL on a red eye transferring through Newark was over $500 each. We were still charged for luggage which I guess is the norm now, but I would think Princess would negotiate this as anyone cruising for two weeks would have luggage. Also, our flight home had long layovers resulting in getting to SFO at around 11PM PST Pretty late when we could have been off the ship at 5AM PST (8AM local) Room was as expected. Everything worked not funny noises. Cabin P321 and basic ocean view cabin. I thnk it is ideally situated near the art, very close to the international cafe which is the only 24 food location. One note about this level 5 cabin. There is machinery that is used when tying up at port that must be right under. So there was a fairly loud sound when the lines went out at each port but it didnt last long and our kids slept through it. The cabin steward agreed to make our bed as a queen instead of twins. This is an issue bacause we had two bunks in the room and it is much harder to make them up (basically impossible unless the steward stands on the lower bed if you have it as a queen. But we didnt mind that. Steward was amazing. He was invisible like a ninja when somehow kept our room spectacular even with 4 us including two kids and all that entails. Food: I have read comments from my fellow about this cruise. I found the food to be very serviceable at least where I was. There were a few items at the buffet that were underwhelming but I would say 90% of the dishes we ordered were very tasty. I would give a word of warning though. I think they are trying to raise the culinary bar and they had much more complex and different items in the buffet. I could see non adventurous eaters being turned off by many of the selections compared to how it was in the past. We ate at crown grill which was a gift from our travel agent. Service was very good. My steak was good but not great. I had the porterhouse. I will say the server suggested the ribeye which I probably should have gone with. Sides were tasty. We had the new Planks BBQ. We enjoyed it. The Spicy Meatballs were unusual for BBQ but they gave a "free" sample before we ordered the main entree and we both decided to order it. The meal is generous with 4 meats and sides. At $12 it was a good price for something special and unique. We did not do Sabatinis. I will say, on this cruise, that place was EMPTY. I never say more than a couple of tables filled and I passed it many times during prime dining. Kids Program: There were only 31 people under 18 onboard. Three teens total and about 12 kids from 8-12. Our kids absolutely loved the kids program. For them it was perfect. At this age, with parent permission, kids can check themselves in and out of the program. Medallion: This is the second ship to have the Medallion. This was a great experience for us. It involves greatly improved internet (which we did not use) But all things were bluetooth. The cabin door knew when you were coming and unlocked automatically. You could find out the location of your cabin mates (read kiddos) at any point. You could access the app with your phone and see schedules and your onboard account info. Disembarkation. This was as smooth as embarkation. We had done the special were you pay extra to send your bags all the way to the airport direct. It was a $25 charge to do this plus whatever airline charges there would be. This was great for us. We had one large bag and I packed it to over 70lbs because they did not charge extra for overweight luggage using this method. We had a nice lounge which was never crowded were we staged as people left. We got on a nice transfer bus and were at the airport no problem Read Less

We chose this particular line again, due to the service, care, comfort, food, entertainment. The dining rooms are very elegant as well as the specialty dining rooms, which I highly recommend. After all, it is a vacation!! The entertainment is wonderful. Our traveling partners took their grandchild and they took advantage of the discovery center for kids. He loved it and insisted on going everyday, as they have great activities for the kids and teens. The ports we visited were just beautiful. Shopping was great at all of the ports. There was plenty of ports visited: Princess Cays, St Thomas, Curacao, St Kitts, Trinidad, Antigua, Aruba, Martinique and Barbados. The new Medallion is really a nice added feature. No worries with having a cruise card, you actually have nice souvenir to remember to take home. If you ever get the opportunity, please sail with Princess at once in your life. You will love it. 1st time sailing with Princess, and it is the last. They said we were the inaugural sailing with the medallions, which in my opinion are a bother and did not work well - AT ALL. Ours broke mid-cruise and they asked for it and didn't return it for a day and a half. You can still use your card, and call out a four digit number (and yes everyone can hear it) to a waiter/waitress, who sometimes would take our card, and not give it back unless you go and find them, and it. The room was average, (Dolphin Deck) and not kept as clean as I would like. The cabin steward was impersonal an not friendly, and was borderline creepy. We think the steward took my wife's meds from our room, and the thumb drive I had, had been copied as we immediately got tons of new kinds of spam as soon as we got home. Should have kept that on my person. The food was ok (really, just ok, everywhere) Although we didn't try the Crown Grill steak house. We did try the Steamers Seafood (average at best) and Planks BBQ where the service was the best on the ship. Regular dining was a joke, and the service was below average. We checked our bill at guest services the last night before arrival into home part and it was about $350.00, which was about right, on the last day we left the cabin, a paper was rolled up, and places outside our cabin in the handle. It stated that we owed the cruise line over $985.00, mostly for drinks (my wife and I do drink, and did drink, but nowhere close to that much), the cruise line dismissed our dispute stating the medallion could not have made any mistakes (we only used the medallion once at the bar to purchase drinks) and the rest of the time we used our key card by stating (out loud) our 4 digit number on the card. Bad trip, bad experiences, sub-standard, unclean room and swindled on the high seas too. I am a cruise veteran and know what I am talking about. Stay far away form ANY Carnival cruise line ship, they have certainly have lowered the overall cruising standards and give little or no quality or decent service anymore. I was made to feel I was trying to take advantage of the cruise line, and as an executive for another travel provider (yes, you know who) - I was aghast at the service, food and subsequent treatment by Carnival Cruise lines. And - never, ever again. Read Less

The constant banging from maintenance which we have video, foul smell of sewage, problems with air conditioning being turned off and the front desk response to all the above was enough to never want to sail on the Caribbean princess again. We will do several more cruises, but not with them! Our close friend who is like family recommended princess so we took his advice but we were all disappointed with the results of this cruise. The one and only exceptionall experience was dinner service. The wait staff would go above and beyond to please everyone at the table! We never missed dinner due to the great experience with service and food every evening. Disembarkation went smoothly and the ease of finding our luggage off the ship did as well. The entertainment was average and ports were not as expected due to the change in itinerary which really made a difference in the cruise. As mentioned, not what we expected by far. Read Less

Took this cruise for the ship (we sailed 3 years ago before the refit) and for the ports to be visited. The ship is in nice shape although it seems to be missing some signage. In the forward stair well in particular, it is difficult to tell what deck you are on and which way is forward or aft without going into the hallways to the cabins. The buffet area has been redesigned and works so much better then the old design. Flows better, reduces/eliminates lines, fresher appearance. The cabin (inside on deck 9) was well maintained, very clean and in a good location for a good night's sleep. We were 3 people in a cabin that can hold 4, closet and storage was very adequate. Bedding was good, except the heavy/hot duvet which we had removed for a traditional blanket (don't know why they bother!) We dined in the Palm Dining room (traditional dining) as well as the buffet for all meals. Very pleased with the variety, quality and freshness of the food. Service in both areas was excellent (this ship has a great crew that is very customer focused with a great attitude). Entertainment on this cruise was probably the best I've seen on a cruise ship in the last 10-15 years. Production shows were great as was the comic and the magician. We were scheduled to visit Princess Cay for the first port, but the weather would not be acceptable for tender transfer, so the port was skipped and we docked in St. Thomas 5 hours early, staying from 7am to 10pm. Went to Megan's Bay to swim and snorkel (took local transfer for $8 each, each way). Good facilities at the beach, restrooms, showers, food and beverage and the beach and water are beautiful. Next stop was St. Maarten, just a little shopping and light sight-seeing. Again, great beaches. Port is functional but still recovering from last years hurricanes, so not everything is open yet. This cruise had a total of 3 sea days, 1 going down, two coming back. All in all, a great cruise, meeting our expectations in every regard. Embarkation from Ft. Lauderdale took about 15 minutes, debarkation went very well also, very well organized. As with any cruise there are some people that don't know or don't care about rules, directions and common courtesy that make some experiences annoying, to say the least. We would certainly sail on this ship again (great crew) when the opportunity comes about. Read Less

Well on the cruise, we had a great time! At the restraunts the waiters were amazing and one even gave my little cousin a oragami bird. The buffet was also a perfect option for when you want to eat a quick meal or have a variety of foods. Also the pools were kind of small and crowded but they were nice and clean. If you have young kids though it might be hard for them to swim since almost all the pools are at least 5ft deep, but they can always go in the toddler pool. The kids centers were also really fun and my little cousins kept begging to go. They had many fun activities like board games, Xbox, PlayStation, wii, braclett making, coloring, plus much more. The ship was overall really fun but we had some problems. First of all, one night we went to our room around 10 o’clock ready to go to bed and the door wouldn’t unlock since the battery died. We went to the front desk and told them what happened. We then went back to our room and waited outside for 40 minutes until someone came to fix it. They later gave us a bottle of wine for the inconvenience. I would have been fine with just this happening but then a couple days later me and my 7 year old cousin went back to his room while everyone was still at dinner. A group of workers then came to our room and asked us to see our room cards. After we showed them our cards they kept on asking us if we had anymore cards and where his parents were. This really scared my cousin and he wouldn’t even leave the room because he was so scared that they would still be there. We think that they came because they scanned my 5 year old cousins card twice and thought we brought someone onboard. However, they didn’t have to scare us. Also, when my uncle reported this issue they pretty much told him it was a safety issue so it didn’t matter that it didn’t matter how their employees acted. This makes sense, but they could have been more considerate. To top it all off, in my brother, aunt, and grandparents room on the last full day the floor was soaking wet and it smelled so much like seawater and mold that we couldn’t even go into the room. We reported it and they said that it was fine, their was just a leak in the room. Apperantly they didn’t think this was a big deal? They then put a fan in the room, which fid nothing. When we went into the room later and looked behind the bed the wall paper and floor was all messed up under it. It obviously looked like the issue was a recurring problem. We then went to the front desk around 11:00 am and said they knew nothing about it. They then said the would look into it. When we came back from lunch the room was filled with workers. We then had to go back to the front desk because with all of those people in there and the bad smell no one could take showers, my grandparents couldn’t rest, and everyone still had to pack since your bags were suppose to be outside your room by dinner. At the front desk they said that they had an extra room that they could stay in. Finally around 4:00 they got into their room. However, the room only had one bed and there was 4 people. It took about another hour for them to find another open room. We pretty much wasted our whole day going to the front desk and asking when the room would be done. Overall, though we had many issues, it was still a great cruise and we had so much fun. If these things didn’t happen I would definitely go back! Read Less

We booked this cruise after another cruise fell through due to overbooking about one month before embarkation. The price was right, as were the ports of call (4 stops in the Caribbean). The Good: - The location of our staterooms was very convenient as we booked guaranteed staterooms - As always, the stateroom attendent was awesome and helpful - AA lost our luggage and the stateroom supervisor helped us with tuxes, dresses for formal night and then free laundry service plus a $100 credit for incidentals we needed on board - Marketplace, Salty Dog, and Pizza were best we have had on cruises - I liked how princess separates the food at the buffett - never felt like we were cramped for space until debarkation so that was a big positive - The ship though almost 15 years old, was in tremendous shape and they kept it in very good shape - paint, varnish, cleaning - best we have seen. - The decorations were modern and I liked the look and feel - Guest Services was very helpful with our lost luggage, room issues, and other errors on Princess part - Photos were excellent - best we have had on a cruise and even ordered a custom package (never done that before) - Cruise Director and his assistant were super approachable and I enjoyed anything they were the feature act. The Bad: - dining room service in the Palm was the Worst i have ever seen or had on vacation. It was so bad we asked to be moved to another venue or allowed anytime service which we were denied. We would go an hour before water was refilled, people who came in and ordered after us recieved appetizer, dinner and dessert before we got an appetizer - we complained after this happened three times. We never got our waiter or assistant waiters name, it was so bad another assistant waiter came by from another group and said let me help you guys, you are being ignored!!!!! - Food in main dining service was never right - we had burned prime rib (how do you do that), raw fish, hot appetizers were cold, cold appetizers were put on hot plates and tasted awful), my adolescent boys asked to order two meals because they were so small and were denied - food was very bland, steaks were horribly over cooked Medium was well done to burnet and medium rare was well done at best, rotten potato's sent on plates and never were offered butter, sour cream or cheese on the plates (this started the first day). - Embarkation was a disaster - we booked air through Princess and transfers through princess. we were one of the last 30 people to go through embarkation. They did not have OUR BOARDING SHIP CARDS!!!! How is that! They made them two times at the pier because they would not work. We were on the gangway with security and our cards were denied, they made them two more times only not to work. Ship was to leave at 4:00pm and we were walking into the ship at 4:30pm due to all the delays. Went to passenger services only to have the cards made again as they did not work initially for our room. - Get into our rooms (they were not setup as requested) and worse other peoples luggage was in the room. The Steward Supervisor was quick on the spot and got everything resolved and defused the situation, - Entertainment was the worst I have experienced on any ship. Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, and Carnival. Very boring shows, the new show was good, but the others were far below standard that I have come to expect. - Comedians and Magicians on the ship were far below average - We felt the ship was understaffed based on who we saw where We enjoyed the stops and enjoyed the family time, but I will not be returning to Princess Cruises. My family chose this cruise due to the itinerary (we'd never been to Belize or Honduras prior) and we'd never cruised Princess (we've sailed Royal Caribbean 5 times, Carnival 5 times, Celebrity 1 time). Embarkation was a breeze! We were dropped off by our hotel shuttle right at the curb where our bags were retrieved quickly by porters. We then went through security and then to check-in. Check-in was very quick and efficient, the entire process probably took 15 minutes and we were off to the ship. Once on board, my first impression of the ship was yes, it's older, but in very good shape. The public areas were well-maintained. Dining was a huge letdown I'm sorry to report. We dined in the Coral Dining room (table 109). Table service was somewhat slow as most nights we only had our main waiter with no assistant. Our table of 4 seemed to take much longer for food arrival than the other much larger tables surrounding us. The food quality and taste were very sub-par in my opinion. Most nights I ordered beef, and it seemed every beef plate was the same, each having what I describe as an 'institutional' flavor (what you'd expect in a hospital or school cafeteria). In Princess' defense, I've noticed this on other lines as well over time, it just seems the better food experience is saved for the premium fee-based restaurants onboard. (One night we dined at Sabbatini's, which my family all liked except myself. But in Princess' defense, I'm not much on traditional Italian cuisine.) Entertainment options were fair. Had this itinerary only consisted of 3 stops instead of 4 I personally would have gotten bored with the entertainment options. We attended 2 Broadway-style shows, a magic show, and a comedy show. Nothing exceptional in my opinion. The karaoke show we attended in one of the smaller ship venues was actually my favorite shows, watching and listening to fellow guests sing really badly lol! On at-sea days I typically enjoy sitting by the pool and relaxing in a shaded hot tub. Unfortunately, on the Caribbean Princess, doing this was next-to-impossible for me due to the fact that I'm a late riser and by the time I'd gotten to the pool area practically every lounge chair was taken. As for a shaded hot tub, there was only one I found which was located in the spa area which incidentally was restricted to guests 18 and older (which left my 15-year old daughter out). The hot tubs on this ship seemed very small (tiny compared to the Oasis-class ships on RC). None had full shade. As for excursions we purchased the Belize Lamanai Mayan & New River excursion from the ship which was fun, although very hot and humid. In Grand Cayman, we purchased a tour of Grand Cayman through the ship that was sub-par. The trip to Hell was a HUGE tourist trap, the best part of the tour was spending 3-hours on a private beach. One tip I'd give would be to purchase your excursions through the cruise line for Belize and Grand Cayman due to the fact that you get off of the ship first if you have purchased an excursion via the ship. Since these 2 ports are tendered you'll be assured you won't miss your excursion. In Honduras and Cozumel we purchased our own excursion which was MUCH less expensive than the cruise lines prices. The service at the pizzaria and burger joint on Deck 15 was sub-par on most days I visited. The pizzeria had a very long line of guests waiting for pizza and only 2 cooks staffing. It was quite obvious many guests were extremely irritated by the wait time. The burger joint experienced the same problem, except here you're handed a beeper and made to wait. My plain burger took over 15-minutes! I couldn't understand why they simply didn't serve burgers 'cafeteria-style', where you order as you walk through the line (like on Oasis-class ships)? These 2 venues seemed extremely understaffed and ill-managed. Overall, even with my somewhat negative remarks, we did have a very nice trip. The balcony cabins were great if you like to spend a lot of time just relaxing watching the ocean waves as I do. If you like a lot of different type ship activities (rock-wall climbing, bumper cars, ice skating, etc.) then this definitely isn't your ship. For me, I prefer larger, newer ships with many different activities (like RC's Oasis-class); however, if you've been to St Thomas, San Juan, and the Bahamas over and over you'll eventually will want to try something different which requires a smaller ship to get into off-the-beaten-path ports. Embarkation and Disembarkation went very smoothly. Not sure if the fact that we arrive late and depart early had anything to do with that, but can't complain about either process. Ship overall was in good shape. I had not been on a ship this small before, so was not sure what to expect. You can tell its not a "new" ship even though there was a refurb completed last year -- I liked the fact that there are a lot of pool options to choose from,,, I think 6 overall... Piazza was nice, condensed across 4 levels... was not a lot going on, but people seemed to congregate in that area. The casino was nice, a few tables for each game and a decent amount of machines... never seemed to be too crowded. Dining was just ok. The buffet breakfast was not impressive at all. Limited items, not much to choose from and never new items... was hoping that each day maybe we would get a new appealing selection... but no. I guess I am used to the Royal Princess level of food and selection... not here. The wait on an omelet was 15-20 minutes... every day you went. Just not impressed. The dining room was definitely better, although not up to the Royal Princess level of selection or quality, but not bad. If you go on this ship, definitely pay for the Crown Grill and Sabatini's, those were the best meals we had that covered 3 of our nights. Entertainment / Activities - Minimal. Didnt hear good things about the entertainment, so never went out of my way to see anything. Overall, did not seem to be a lot of organized activities. I have only sailed RCL and Princess, so I have minimal perspective, but Princess is miles behind RCL when it comes to engaging with the passengers and getting them involved in things. Maybe its just the style of the line.... Would have liked more engagement from the staff there. Service was good.. my cabin steward was very good, waiters and staff were very good. Overall, definely a lack of engagement across the ship though. Didnt feel like everyone was really giving their all. My wife agreed with that... you could tell as soon as we were on-board that something was off with the staff. Not a lot of smiles, hello's, offers to assist. Overall was an ok cruise. Has me thinking I may want to try Celebrity to see how they stack up. Was throughly impressed by Princess on my last 2 cruises (both on Royal Princess), so not sure which is the real Princess.... My wife and I went on our first cruise together on recommendation from family friends who also joined us. From embarking to disembarking the process was extremely smooth. From arriving at port it took less than 20 minutes to get on board. Headed straight up to buffet for lunch. We found the service during the whole to be excellent from the restaurant table service to our cabin staff. Always friendly and great sense of humor. Never been to a place where we have our room cleaned so often each day. Loved it!.The general variety and quality of food was great. Entertainment was pretty good. We had 2 comedians which were good, and a couple of musical shows in the theater that were very good. Would have liked to have seen a magic act. We went on 3 excursions of the 4 ports we stopped in. Highlte was the dolphin encounter in Cozumel. Great experience except for the cost of photo/picture. Overall we had a fantastic time and loved every minute of it. We chose a balcony on caribe deck and was very nice and quiet. We knew bathroom and shower were small when we booked. It is small but definitely not a deal breaker and not a big issue for us.Already looking forward to booking another princess cruise. Read Less

I recently arrived from a Princess Cruise Vacation. This was my first time sailing with Princess and I don't think I will ever go on another Princess ship again. Several things happened during my trip that compared to other cruises are unacceptable. First, I had stated it was my anniversary on the Princess website and upon arrival I see other cabin doors decorated (with Celebrate signs or Anniversary signs) but ours was not. Also, I had opted for champagne in our room. When we arrive, I see a note that states we have to call room service for the champagne (so it's not sitting out for too long). This was fine. I called for the champagne maybe over three times between that day and the next (not exaggerating) they never brought us our champagne. At the end, I told them I didn't even want it. I also complained about our room not being decorated and all they said is they could either decorate it now (a day after our anniversary) or bring chocolate covered strawberries. At that point I was somewhat over the whole thing so I told them to forget about it. But then other issues happened. Upon showering, the water in our cabin was cold. I then went to the front desk to have someone check it out and they never came that night (I ended up showering with cold water). It was not till the next day (midday) that someone came and fixed our shower. To our amazement there are two knobs in the shower and they were originally switched that is why the knob could not turn all the way to produce hot water. I was in shock. Another thing, the remote in our room would not work. Flipping the batteries was the only way to get the channel changed. I had to call about this too. At the end all these issues were addressed however these issues should not have even occurred. Complaining about all these issues cost me time from enjoying myself and frustration as many times it would take a day or so for the issues to be addressed. The customer service on this ship was by far the worst I have ever seen. Nothing other than chocolate covered strawberries were done to corroborate for all the mishaps we experienced. The crew did not seem to be hospitable perhaps in helping you find an area of the ship if you seemed lost or for instance, in the pool area, to get a waiter to come to get your drink order was nearly impossible. My partner and I joked about how the service off the ship was better than on the ship. I also saw that the ship was recently renovated, however, the pool/outside area lack in a renovation. The inside was relatively nice, the cabins are pretty spacious, but the outside needs work. See pictures below. Not the cleanest either. Another HUGE issue was the food. Which was one of the biggest let downs this cruise had to offer. The selection was poor and there was at least one thing in every sitting that was not to my liking. I am not a picky eater and have never had an issue with poor food on any previous cruise I've ever been on. So this was a big downfall about this ship. All in all, the cruise experience could've been so much better. The food, the customer service, and the outside area of the ship need major improvement. Entertainment was also average. I do not recommend this ship to anyone. Read Less

This cruise was a surprise birthday present for me! I had been complaining about how we couldn't afford a cruise this year (we had to buy a lovely roof instead…) and my wonderful parents stepped up and made it possible! My parents are chronic cruisers who go 5-6 times a year - sometimes more (this year they’ll do 10!). They are the ones responsible for getting my family addicted as well! This cruise was selected with relaxation in mind. With three ports and four sea days, it's the perfect way to unwind and let someone else worry about making us happy - and did Princess pull through for us! With kids left behind grumbling about not going, my husband and I had our first vacation alone together in 10 years. Embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly. We had a balcony next to my parents and spent many hours reading and watching my favorite, mesmerizing reality show "Ocean Waves" on that balcony. I spent so many hours I received a nice sunburn sitting in the shade! Over all the ship was on good condition, we could definitely tell what had been refreshed and what still needed to be refreshed. The beds are sumptuously soft. The bathroom was clean, but definitely dated. Princess is trying to get up to snuff with technology. They have installed new TV's with current on-demand movies. Most of the time it worked – when it didn't, I figured out that if you rebooted the TV, it would reset and work fine. They also offer on board Wi-Fi which was spotty at best. They are still working out the kinks. While frustrating to passengers, I understand the problems with tech upgrades. Many people complained about not being able to connect to work (how very sad – work? On a vacation?). Once they get this nailed, it’ll be great to be able to message on board companions freely. The service was outstanding. Our room attendant, Allen was the happiest hard worker I've ever met. Every request was met with ninja efficiency. Every morning (and I am an early riser) his smiling face was the first I would see. His personality was infectious and utterly charming. He should be a game show host… Our wait staff was great as well. We had traditional dining where Richard and Alexander took great care of us. My parents are used to getting things “just so” and they accommodated their every whim. Our water glasses were never empty (my pet peeve) and their recommendations where never wrong. For breakfast my parents knew Michael in the main dining room from previous cruises and requested him every morning. He too took care of their “just so” requests along with his team mate Somsak. Again smiling, happy workers! Most of the bar tenders were ok. We found (and this is an important person to find on every cruise!) a great bartender, Topher, who made the best long island tea. Not too much sweet/sour or too much cola…just right. He was the first to learn our names and what we liked. We went out of our way to get our drinks from him – he tended up at the Tradewinds bar on deck 16. He also made some great suggestions on other drinks that we tried. The only “excursion” we did was to reserve the clam shell on Princess Cays. For my mom it was essential, for the rest of us, well, I spend more time in the beautiful water, bobbing like an apple. We went ashore in St Thomas and took a shuttle to Coki Beach for the best snorkeling ever (to date)! It was like floating in an aquarium. The fish are used to being fed biscuits so they are abundant. For more beauty, float around the rocks…such variety of colorful fish and coral! In St. Maartin we took a water taxi to Great Bay Beach and again did the bobbing apple routine. It was marvelous! The entertainment was pretty good too! We had the comedian Ronndell Smith on 2 nights – he is hilarious! I wished his set was longer. There was a great singer (eek! Can’t remember his name at present!). He energetically sang everything from Ray Charles to Michael Jackson. Most surprising, as I didn’t expect to enjoy it, was the production of Bravo! The show is touted as mixing opera with pop with the grace of ballroom. It delivered outstandingly. The opera pieces were easily recognizable, as were the pop selections – but the voices were amazing – stunning really. I’m getting goosebumps just remembering! It was phenomenal, beautiful and worth the price of admission anywhere. I watched The Black Panther, Thor, Ragnarok and Jumanji for Movies Under that Stars. It was nice! Attendants came around with popcorn that was better than AMC’s. Those movies would show up in on-demand the next day. The food in the main dining room was very good. I'm not picky, but my parents are and they were very happy with the food. The buffet is everything you expect a buffet to be. My husband prefers the buffet saying he likes all the different selections and he can eat whenever he wants. He always joined us for dinner and enjoyed that as well. I was very disappointed in the Salty Dog Grill. My burger was near cold as were the fries. Oh well, can’t be perfect at everything! The pizza was OK, I liked the Stromboli – it made for a small, quick, late night snack. We were treated to the Crown Grill by our travel agent. It was excellent. Husband had the filet and lobster tail (raved about it and he is a steak snob), my mom had the lamb chops (made yummy noises the whole time eating) and dad and I had perfectly cooked Chilean Sea Bass - ohhh such delicious bliss! The on board shopping seemed limited. The high-end nature of it turned me off. I’d rather have more souvenir type choices than department store selections. Do people really buy that much clothing on board? I love browsing jewelry I can’t afford though…and there was plenty of that. Overall, it was a fantastic cruise. Princess has always done an excellent job in my opinion. We hated to leave – but off to work so we can afford the next cruise…and the cruise after that! Read Less

I am a long time Carnival and Royal Caribbean Cruiser and have always loved to cruise. I won this cruise from a local casino and took our two 6 year old kids. We booked air through Princess. From the start it was a bad experience. First they incorrectly booked air travel for the wrong dates not once but three times it took me over 3 hours of call time to get it straight. They told me that the room i was talked into E106 was unobstructed oceanview. It was not and right before cruise they reclassified it as such. The air they booked us on delta ended up causing us to be extremely late. We did not arrive till a little after 4pm and the dock staff acted as if it was our fault and rushed us. We were literally pushed on the ship. The room was okay. Clean, but shower water never got above luke warm ever and tv movies froze a lot. Air condition was okay. Room noise was minimal. Overall its a beautiful ship and did not show age. Kids club was great and my kids loved Sera there. Service: 1. Room steward- worse i have ever had. No intro, no cleaned room for two days, didnt even answer the service text. I complained on the third day and they finally gave me a new steward that did a good job but no intro. 2. Dining- anytime dining. Waiter started out great and then botched our entire order, took my tea and never brought me one back, even when i asked for one he forgot again. Very poor service. Second time was a little better but overall not impressed. Food was not great. Steak seems to be extinct from princess B. Buffet- above average food, below average service. Waiters would literally ask the table before me and after for drinks and skip ours. Or two waiters refused to bring me two iced teas at a time and only brought one which was quickly drank and no refills. I was also chastised at the ramen noodle station for picking my own meat. The tongs were facing me and was not an over stretch and the guy acted liked i killed his newborn child. Just a few examples there are countless more. C. Slice- the two filipino guys were the most unfriendly i have ever encountered. Most of the time they said nothing even when asked questions. I was beginning to think i was either invisible or a ghost on this cruise. 3. Guest services- acted like i was bothering them when i voiced my concerns. No apology, no credit, no bottle of champaign nothing. Said they were forwarding my concerns to management and of course no response. I never even got the after cruise survey. 4. Shore excursions- we always arrived early and always we had to wait way past the scheduled time in horrible heat. I have booked shore excursions with other lines and this line seemed unorganized. They also booked me for a tour in roatan that i never booked. I was able to get my money back after 35 minutes at the desk. 5. Casino- i usually spend at least 50% of time onboard in casino and spend a lot of money. On the other lines i get free upgraded rooms and free money for my play. I played the first night for hours and got several thousand points and finally the casino manager Faith came up and said i hear you want to talk to me. I said no o didnt ask to as i didnt know who you was but since you are here can i get a drink or free play? She said i will be back let me find who wanted to speak to me and she left. Two hours later she returned acting like she never met me and said you have a lot of points let me get you a drink. That was the end of that. If i am going to lose money like that i at least want great service and entertainment. I got neither. Not to mention a grown man almost knocking my kid down during the shark week activity so he could hurry and get a temporary tattoo on his arm. Then getting mouthy with me denying it. Horrible incident and no security in sight. Overall it was not a horrible cruise, but the worse i have ever experienced. I would never cruise the princess line again. It was not an upgraded experience by any means. Read Less

The food in the dining room did not taste good and there was not much variety on the menu each night. On past cruises we have been on the service in the dining room was normally excellent, on this cruise we waited for quite a while on our food and had to ask for drink refills. In order to have good food you had to go to one of the restaurants with the cover charge. I was also disappointed in the lack of entertainment while at sea on sea days. The majority of the entertainment was trying to buy something. We were also supposed to have four ports of call and one of our ports was cancelled before the cruise began without any explanation. First off let me say that we have done 25+ cruises and most of them have been on Princess. We took this cruise as a extended family cruise with one toddler at age three. 2 adults in their 30's and 4 adults in their 50's. The ship was recently renovated and it showed in some areas such as the buffet. Both of the specialty resturants located with in the buffet were used at breakfast and lunch as part of the entire buffet and this made could sense and flow but you really needed to walk through the entire area to see what is being offered. Don't miss the make your own fresh omelet station for breakfast but skip the ramen station at lunch as it was horrendous. Dinners in the MDR were are good and they really catered to our toddler and was much appreciated. We did Steamers specialty one night and if you stick to the seafood pots they were very good. Adding on a lobster tail and king crab for an extra 10 was very good here but a waste of money in Crown Grill. The pizza is now called slice but they still provide the great pizza along with other pizza type specialties every day. The grill is now the Salty Dog and provides the standard dogs and burgers as well as street tacos and an upsell specialty burger. The entertainment was really lacking on this cruise. The show Bravo was excellent but the others were just so so. The biggest issue is the venues that had other entertainment available were not able to accommodate all the passengers that wanted to partake. The islands were the standard Caribbean stops and most are coming back from hurricane issues but still have lots of areas that are still in need of recovery. The lay out of the ship was our biggest disappointment. Some elevators did not go to all the floors and to get to the traditional dining room you had to either take a specific elevator get to deck 7 and then walk down the stairs. The cabin was what we expected as we have had many mini suites and it was very comfortable and the new beds make a difference. The air conditioner did not work very well at all and if you needed a very cool room you were out of luck. The biggest asset this ship had was its crew. They were always smiling and asking if we needed anything. Did not have to wait for a drink waiter in any venue. Hubby said the gym was not big enough for the size of the ship and the amount of passengers. Read Less

The wife and I sailed on the May 26-June 2 2018 Eastern Caribbean and had a very nice, relaxing cruise/vacation. We are both in our mid-50's with zero children (but now a 1 year old puppy). This was cruise #40 for me, #16 on Princess (our first as Elite) and our 7th on the Caribbean Princess. We last sailed Princess July, 2014 (on the Caribbean Princess) and was excited to return to princess. Since that July trip we did 7 other cruises with 6 on Celebrity (all on various S Class ships) and one on HAL Westerdam over Christmas 2017. The ship I thought looked good, especially for a 14 year old ship and I especially liked the addityiopn of Cofferr & Cones and the remodeled buffet area along with Planks BBQ (did not eat at dinner but did have lunch & breakfast) and Steamers Seafood (did eat dinner, thought it was great at a very reasonable price). We also really enjoyed the updated television with the on-demand programing which had a very wide variety of free, recent movies and some television shows both classics (Cheers, Frasier, Love Boat) and various other types. The crew was great, very friendly and helpful. The only negative was the stateroom and bathroom (bed was great). After being on the Celebrity ships in various balcony cabins and the Westerdam in a Signature Suite the Caribbean Princess cabin, while cozy, has a tiny bathroom with the clingy shower curtain. No biggie but the standard balcony cabins are much nicer, in my opinion or the Celebrity ships (bether balconyn furniture also). Finally, this was our first sailing as Elite on princess and without a doubt the benefits are better for us than the Elite benefits on Celebrity. Read Less

This was my first cruise with Princess and as a result of my experience, it will definitely be my last. Prior to booking, I had this impression that Princess was an elite cruising brand. I expected more of them than I would a Carnival, Norwegian or Royal Caribbean cruise line. I could not have been more wrong. Let's start with the PROS since its a short list. PROS: Embarkation - Princess is very organized. I was on the ship in less than 20 minutes from my arrival to the pier. I have NEVER gotten on a ship that fast before. There was no haggling to buy onboard packages and no pressure to take pictures. It was the most quickest, easiest embarkation I have ever experienced. Shore Excursions - I really liked that while the Excursions desk was not always manned that they had iPads at the desk so I could book excursions during their non-operating hours. I struggled whether to add this to the CONS list really, because the Excursions desk was closed before and during our sail away period, but I do like that I had this as an option. I like to book my excursions as soon as I get on the ship. I later learned I could have booked them in my room via the TV. Entertainment - I really enjoyed some of the musical talent on this ship. I learned of some new artistic gems like George Thursting that I now follow through social media. Love them. Folks, that's where my PROS list ends. Let's dive into everything that made this cruise horrible and left me vowing to NEVER cruise with Princess again. CONS: Bed Bug (in Room B249) - I usually don't sleep much, if at all, the night before a cruise, because I am busy packing and getting my house (and life) prepared for my extensive departure, so I usually make up for that sleep the first night on the ship. This cruise was no exception. I grabbed a bite to eat and booked my excursions once I got on board and I headed straight to my room to snooze. After we set sailed, I got up to grab something out of my bag and when I returned to the bed I noticed what looked like a bed bug crawling over the duvet cover. I screamed! I ran outside where the cabin steward was. He came in looking embarrassed, but not surprised, and scooped the bug into a glass jar. I was mortified. All I could think was how grateful I was that I had not unpacked yet. I did NOT want to take any of these critters home with me. I hear bed bugs are horrible to get rid of. I went straight to the reception desk to report it. Its the first night, so there's a long line. I patiently wait. When I get to the line, the service desk rep (Ignacio and Aracelli) said there was not much they could do besides send someone to investigate and clean the room since the ship was sold out. They did not offer me some place to sit or rest at during this 2-hour investigation. They did not offer me a complimentary beverage or meal. They did not apologize for the inconvenience. They did nothing, but "investigate." I stood on the side of the reception desk for 2 hours exhausted. I finally got back in line to see if there was an update, since NO ONE spoke to me during those 2 hours and only after I got back in line did someone call to check on the "investigation" and that's when I was told they were done and they did not find anything else (meaning another bug). For all I know, the investigation could have been completed an hour earlier. I return to my room alone. Visibly shaken, they did not offer to escort me to my room to reassure me and show me their findings. No one was there when I arrived. It was hours later when the cabin steward supervisor and my cabin steward returned to tell me the supervisor found nothing. I asked if I would be able to get checked by medical - something the front desk rep said I would be able to get as a courtesy to check for bed bug bites - and the supervisor told me NO. He said the ship doctor is not like a doctor on land, they're expensive, so I would have to pay for this myself. Um... OK! I was done after this. Done. He treated me like I was an inconvenience. Very hostile. I never unpacked my bag. I kept it closed the entire cruise and I checked my room for bed bugs each and every day. I tried not to let this ruin my trip cuz then I would definitely be on the losing end. I tried to make the best of it. Ship - Its old. Real old. Very dated. There's rust, mildew and mold everywhere. While I stood in line at the guest desk, I noticed there were multiple leaks from the ceiling. Also, the layout makes no sense. They give each deck a name. For example: Deck # 11 is named Baja and Deck # 15 is named Lido. Instead of referring to the deck number, you had to learn the deck names, because that is how they were referenced. It was so cooky. Then there were only so many elevator banks. I believe there were three or four for the entire ship and one or two of those only went to a few floors. There were no machines for people to add money to their room card/key. Everything went through the very incompetent guest desk. And they had to escalate everything. No one at the desk could make a decision at their level. No one was empowered to just do common sense things for guests. While I waited for my bed bug investigation, I heard a man with Platinum Level Status get upset over his beverage package and how someone screwed it up. I stood there thinking: If this guy is a loyal Princess cruiser and they treat him like that, how should I expect them to treat me? Not good, folks. Not good. Dining - I actually like the seating in the buffet dining areas. I liked that there were pub seating that looked directly out the window, so if you're a party of one you're only taking one seat and not an entire table. That's where my likes end. The food options were very limited and buffet small. It was about one-third of the size of the buffet area on the average Norwegian ship. Horrible! I made due, but I was just shocked. In Conclusion: The pros definitely did not outweigh the cons. I cannot justify the cost of the average Princess cruise for me to try the brand again. Outside of wanting to experience the Princess brand, I really chose this sailing because it was going to the ABC islands and it was full of smart at sea days. Heed my warnings. If nothing else, stay away from this ship unless you've cruised it before and know what to expect. Read Less

I will not Cruise princess again. Despite the merger of Princess and Carnival, Princess does not measure up. This trip, planned for 2 years as a family trip of 9 passengers did not go well at all. We used a Travel Agent, and she was great she did her best to fix the issues however Princess Customer Service, and the manager of customer service were useless. The Princess refused to admit the error, and a letter to corporate did not make any difference. my letter wasn't even acknowledged. We sailed out of Ft Lauderdale, Embarkation was disorganized, and difficult. it took 2 hours just to get on the ship. The ship was clean and updated, however it was difficult to get to dining rooms. A very confusing layout. Our dining room was on deck 6 but we couldn't walk from forward to aft on deck 6, I sailed princess once before for my honeymoon and was given a cabin with twin beds. My husband and I pulled the mattresses off the beds and slept on the floor each night. My complaints then went on deaf ears. That was 20 Years ago. I assumed there was improvement but I was wrong. I requested a cabin for 3, with a full/Queen bed, and again we were given twin beds set up as bunk beds. Requests to correct it were met with different reasons the online planner was not showing the configuration I wanted. 3 months before we were to sail we were told the cabin we chose could not be converted for 3 people and a queen be. If we wanted a queen bed, we would need to move to a Mini Suite. We lost all the perks of the original package, and again my travel agent tried to fix this, but ended out giving us a cash credit to replace what we lost. The cabin had two TV's, however they were back to back, and you could only use one at a time unless you use head phones, and we didn't bring headphones with a 20 Ft wire. That said, it was an adequate room, and the deck was nice. This was only one of the problems we had. We purchased a drink package, but every day I had to go down to the customer service desk and get our drink charges fixed. I was charged for a reservation to the Serenity deck that O did not request and when the ticket was pulled, it was not my signature, or name, but my cabin. Very poor accounting methods. We paid for everything up front so I wouldn't have to check things every day. Don't bother with the internet package, it is awful, and doesn't work well at all. the App for on board messaging is useless, use the Cabin phones. Staff is about the only thing I would say was good, but again it depended on the place on the ship you were, Housekeeping was very good. Our Waiter and assistant waiter were great, the rest of the staff while helpful, where not very happy The food was adequate, but not what I would call top of the line. The Restaurants, and we tried all three, were OK. the best of the 3 was Sabatini's. The steak house was disappointing, the quality of the steak was supermarket discount. Only interesting thing in the Steak house was the different salts, which if you like salt, would have been great, but only if you like salt. We did a shore excursion at each port, all were interesting, and fun, but caution should be used when visiting outside the sponsored cruise tours. We were delay getting to our first location in Columbia, and so the rest of the tour was rushed. I would have like to spend more time at some of the sites, so rather than trying to get multiple sites in Next time I visit I will choose one site to see when port of call time is so short. We weren’t in port for a long time. Bottom line. Princess is not up to the task Read Less
