Nice Ship - But Annoying Problems

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Caribbean Princess

This cruise was VERY hard to rate. The layout of the ship, the food, the service and the comedy and magic entertainment were all very good. The itinerary was good in Newport, Boston, St. John and Quebec -- otherwise there wasn't a lot more to see. Unfortunately there were numerous sour notes. The ship was old but mostly well maintained. In our cabin, however, the mattress was nearly worn ...

Some good, some not so good

Embarkation was a breeze in Quebec city with the princess medallion. However, navigating the app was very frustrating. Ship was very clean and most of the staff was terrific. Bartenders were outstanding, but dining venues needed more staff and better organization. They have gone completely to anytime dining and you make reservations through the app, IF you're lucky enough to get the time you ...

Ship has seen better days

My third time on this ship, this time from New York to Quebec. Ship has not aged well. Elevators out of service for months, thermostat in room broken - took 3 days to fix. Medallion had to be replaced 3 times. No maple syrup or real horseradish on the ship. Not only is there not traditional dining, you have to remember who you gave your special dietary order to the night before - really? When ...

East Coast Fall Cruise on Caribbean Princess

We chose this 10-day cruise because of the US and Canadian east coast itinerary. We gave this cruise a “three” rating because of the entire cruise experience, from leaving our home, the cruise and the trip back to our home. To be fair to Princess cruise line, Hurricane Fiona decided to create havoc to the schedule. We were only able to visit three of our seven scheduled ports because of ...

Cold and Foggy for 5 days

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Caribbean Princess

Wanted to see New York, Newfoundland. Too many sea days . Too cold to go on pool deck. (My fault for not doing better homework) . No enclosed pool or heated pools. Missed first port in Greenland due to rough water, 4 days of Fog day and night. Really unless your into Geography or Inuit heritage there is not much to see in Greenland. Did see icebergs. No sea life . Did not see any whales ...

Good to be back cruising with friendly people

This cruise was in Canada in an area that we hadn't seen before & we didn't have to fly overseas. It started in Quebec City overnighting there. It was really hot in Quebec & we took a walking tour that was supposed to be moderate but many of us couldn't keep up with the tour guide. Someone ran ahead to ask her to slow down. Every night we ate dinner with guests sharing a table in the dining ...

We are currently traveling with a family of 3 in this cabin on 13 day FLL- Quebec. Firstly, I have to say the WIFI is outstanding. Best ever at sea. The cabin is large and sofa bed is in a separate sitting area. Sofa bed is hard but comfortable. Large balcony, just above bridge and below the forward ship's viewing deck on floor 15 so not private from sunrise to sunset. The doors are ...

Disappointed in this cruise

Chose because of the itinerary. Tours were below par - was shocked - Princess, generally, does everything well. A dearly wanted tour cancelled just before embarkation. Had to choose something that was "left over". Not an especially interesting tour - but the tour guide WAS exceptional. Chose to stay on the ship at some ports or disembark for a few hours. Dissatisfied, on arrival, with with ...

Not our best Princess cruise but was OK.

We chose this cruise for the ports. Unfortunately we had to skip Newport because of high winds, not any fault of Princess. Most ports we did on our own and the ones were we chose excursions were fine. There were 2 sea days were we had ¨not so bad weather¨(the rest of the cruise was pretty cold). We hoped that there would be a good movie on Lido deck but no it was only football games and ...
