We have wanted to book a Caribe deck cabin with the larger half open/half covered balcony, which seem to be very popular on Princess ships, so when we got the opportunity, we jumped on it. The balcony was certainly quite spacious; however, it was apparent that it does need some refreshing, including the deck furniture, which was quite worm. This did not deter from our cruise, though, as we know the ship has been around for awhile. The shower is very small, which could be a problem with some passengers. On our last Princess cruise we were in a mini-suite, so we were a little "spoiled" by the extra room. We made it work, though, and there was ample storage space in the closet and storage cabinet which included the safe. We did love the new Princess mattress and the larger flat-screen TV which were recently added. Read Less

Our cabin was sufficient since it was a balcony cabin. But we were offered an upgrade to a Premium Balcony which only gave us a larger balcony, not more cabin room, but it was nice anyway.

The cabin was well maintained, and while a little tight, offered ample closet space. The configuration was such that the closet area made an excellent dressing/changing room.

We had a balcony cabin on the 14th floor just below the cafeteria. Sounds awful, and we anticipated some noise, but were pleasantly surprised that it was pretty quiet. We did encounter an occasional unpleasant food aroma drifting downstairs and into our hallway, but it wasn't an ongoing problem. The cabin (especially the bathroom) was small (as compared to the same value on other cruise ships) and the balcony was tiny. In fact, we typically love having our morning coffee or afternoon snack there, but on this cruise it went unused. Still nice to have it for added light and to make the room feel bigger. The bed was comfortable and cabin service was orderly and efficient. The only complaint that I have about our cabin steward was his habit of hanging our used wash clothes on the line in the shower instead of replacing them. How weird is that? Read Less
