This was our third cruise on the Mariner, our second relocation crossing, and our first since the last refurbishment. Overall, we were highly impressed by the condition of the ship. The food was consistently excellent. Service levels were also extraordinary, and even a notch above past cruises. The staff was consistently friendly and helpful. One word of advice to would-be first time Regent ...

I'm told not to judge Oceania by this cruise

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Insignia

I agree for the most part with Old Jazzer's review. This was my first cruise on Oceania. The cabin service was first rate. The social hostess Tammy was very good. The itinerary is why I took the cruise and it was more than I could have hoped for (except for the cancellation that left us in Sao Tome for 2 days - when it was my least favorite stop). I also could do without another Caribbean cruise ...

We went on the Oceania Insignia 35 day cruise from Cape Town (depart 30 Nov 2015) to Miami (arrived 4 Jan 2016). Here is the list of our opinions as to what was good, below expectations and bad. We had concierge level cabins with balcony. This was our 11th cruise across 6 lines and our first cruise on Oceania. 1. Bad - Cancellation of Ports. We booked this cruise for the ...

We had food not prepared correctly and some almost raw in Polo In Toscanna they even forgot our bread and we canceled our last reservations in those two venues. Service was slow in the Terrace sometimes as long as 20 min. Signature sandwiches (ex: Pannini) were not prepared correctly in Waves. We only had quality meals in the Grand Dining Room. With welding on deck 10 and 11 for almost two ...

Some Great, Some Disappointing

Meals and service were very good. An over abundance of tables for two. Cabin was well maintained by friendly and helpful staff. TV and internet worked well and a DVD player in the cabin with the ships DVD library gave an alternate to the entertainment which was sorely lacking. Room service was prompt. Staff in general very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Itinerary was good, shuttle busses ...

Smooth as Silk on Silver Whisper

Review for a U.S.A. Cruise on Silver Whisper

Embarkation went smoothly. The transfer from Cape Grace Hotel to Silver Whisper was so efficient that I was onboard before official embarkation time. I sneaked down the corridor to my Vista Suite to drop off my carry-on bag then went up to the Viennese Lounge. The classic Silversea hospitality had begun. Cape Town is a marvelous port for a 5-day visit before departing South Africa. Signal ...
