I spent six weeks travelling through South Africa and decided to return to Europe by cruise. In spring 2023 there were exactly five ships doing this. Costa, Aida, Phoenix and two MSC vessels. We just booked this at the very last moment as it was sailing from Cape Town to Southampton and were delighted there was space.
This was our first Cunard experience, but I think virtually all other passengers were long-time fans of Cunard.

The heading for this cruise was not listed - it was repositioning from Cape Town to Venice.
For me this is another way to get from Australia to the UK to visit my father and sister - much better than just sitting on a long haul flight plus added journeys both ends!

This was our 5th cruise on the MSC Sinfonia which includes the South Bound, Genoa to Durban, Durban to Mauritius and back, as well as a few local Cruises and the North Bound from Cape Town To Venice. We actually prefer the longer cruises (14 to 24 days), as this is more value for Money especially the Grand Voyages.
