We started planning this trip in May 2018, we booked in June 2018. We planned a holiday around this trip. First we flew down from Johannesburg on the 21st January, we explored Cape Town and did a few excursions which went very well. This was our first time on a cruise and we were very excited after reading a lot of reviews and feedback from other people who have done the trip. The start was not ...

Due to the delay we only embarked on 26Jan 2019 sadly missing two days of fun we were looking forward to..nevertheless once on board we were in awe of the beauty & magnitude of the ship & then the fun started. We loved the various lounges & bar areas for relaxation & good music. The dining sittings in the restaurant caters for everyones needs & the staff serving guests with a smile & then having ...

I embarked from Cape Town and unfortunately had a bit of a tough time with the weather so our cruise was delayed by two days. This however is not anyone's fault and totally understand MSC's reasoning for not embarking on the 24th. We only embarked the 26th January. Embarkation is a very long and tedious process. The waiting before going on board is crazy and very tiring. The ship is so ...

Wanted to experience the Musica compared to others. Disembarkment in CT was a disasteras there was no discipline and people left the ship even though they were expected to wait.People smoke in non smoker areas with a sign above her head in the casino and they take drinks inti the theatre and nobody does anything,so instilling discipline of officials is zero.No Italian dress up evening as they ...

We took this cruise to celebrate my daughters first birthday. The cruise itself was good, but due to high winds we were not able to dock on the last day. As a result we had to spend an extra two nights at sea. With 2 small kids on board it became quite difficult to manage as we were not prepared for the extra 2 nights. The facilities were great, especially the kids club. We were most disappointed ...

I wanted the experience of sailing into Walvis Bay and seeing desert meet ocean. The day trip was perfect 4x4 adventure. The cruise sailed out of Cape Town ..spectacular views from verandah cabin. Heavy fog made 2nd night interesting with vessels horn blasting into the night. Strong headwinds gave us some rough cruising on way back to Cape Town. We had delays getting back into the harbour due to ...

Relaxing experience

Embarkation was a disastrous experience. There must a way to divide the passengers into groups with different time slots. It will definitely prevent queuing for more than two and a half hours. Some of the elderly people did find difficult to stand that long. Disembarkation was much easier. The worst experience, however, was that we were left in the dark regarding docking. The captain should ...

This was our first cruise in our lives. In a way we were very impressed but looking deeper under the surface MSC has lots of space to improve their service delivery. Very well aware of fact that this point is most likely not MSC Musica's responsibility but need to be said that waiting for approx 3-4 hours in a queue to go on board without any seating nor refreshments or clean toilet ...

Heard good reviews about them. Food excellent. Service excellent. Waiters were friendly and always smiling. Eko and Jay served us for dinner and they were outstanding. Our cabin attend in cabin 10059 was outstanding as well. Entertainment was good but feel they could have had more shows or movies in the Theatre during the day. The shows every night before dinner were great and the ...

Chosen cruise was a family cruise and loved it. Restaurants was well filled and had good service levels in the restaurants. Buffet was excellent although there needs to be some sort of system in place when collecting ones food at the restaurants. It can become chaos at times. The other one big thing was when boarding the experience was not nice as we did not know where to go stand when we arrived, ...
