Review for a Africa Cruise on MSC Sinfonia

We decided on a 5 day cruise featuring South African performers so that we could relax and also see some shows. The shows are top class and also having the opportunity of chatting to the performers when seeing them at the various bars and lounges was a plus. The staff were very helpful and we felt pampered and spoilt. The communication of every days activity and general information provided was to ...

Smile FM Cruise

Review for a Africa Cruise on MSC Sinfonia

We had a great time overall but we were left with the feeling that maybe the additional monies paid for the Smile FM evening was not worth it. They stated that there was a goody bag included to the value of R1500. In the goody bag was a cap, mug and towel? Guys, drinks vouchers? Also, anyone was able to join the party, which was meant to be exclusive to the people who paid extra. Other than ...

I enjoyed the 3 days on the MSC Sinfonia tremendously. From checkin to getting on the ship was a wonderful experience. Most of the staff were very friendly and had great sense of humors and always willing to help out. I loved the entertainment, food and people :-) I especially enjoyed the dinner; a lot of choices. I enjoyed the drinks voucher that I bought on the first day I ...

Outstanding Itinerary

1. We sailed on Oceania Insignia last January, Miami to Cape Town. We did this because of the itinerary. While onboard we found this 2017 cruise and bought for the same reason. We will probably not sail with Oceania again. 2. The staff are wonderful. Our stewardess, Sladjana was great and our cabin was maintained beautifully early every day. Most days our cabin was cleaned by the time we got ...

This was a destination specific cruise. Lecturer Mike Boll was fabulous giving histories of the countries visited. All nationalities were onboard which was a great mix. Entertainment was average & the so called "pool deck party" was a real disappointment - lacked food, poor music selection & no ambience or time given in setup. NCL takeover of Oceania is evident...cost ...

If you read some of the reviews you would never go on this ship however my trip was great the embarcadero was a bit slow with many passengers arriving at the same time.but they got there in the end. My cabin was inside but very comfortable and on par with P@O who I have sailed with many times. I found the food exceptional value for the money with the exception of bacon which was pretty bad most ...

Review of cruise Cape Town to Singapore - Insignia Feb 9, 2016 Three years ago we were on an Oceania cruise from Istanbul to Cape Town. That was, by far, the longest cruise we'd taken, thirty days. I worried at the time that I would get cabin fever, stuck on a boat that long. The itinerary was across the Mediterranean and down the west coast of Africa, with stops in Senegal, Gambia, Ghana, ...

Very Good Cruise

Review for a Africa Cruise on Insignia

It is almost as if we were in a different universe than the "Not what I paid for" cruiser. We are frequent Oceania cruisers and found the food and the service on Insignia very good. Yes, we were unhappy about the "deals" since we had booked early and paid top dollar. But as the deals were announced our agent went to bat for us and we did get some compensation in the form of ship credit. There ...

Wonderful Cruise, with Some Problems

My wife and I are seasoned cruisers, always at a "luxury level" ie. Regent or Silversea. Due to unexpected health issues we had to change a spring Regent Cruise to the fall. This itinerary stood out but Mariner did not have any PH available. My TA suggested we try Oceania and we are glad we did. It is important to understand that to get maximum enjoyment on O you need to take a little more ...

Wonderful first voyage

Review for a Africa Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

This I think was our one and only voyage so we were lucky it was on QM2 from Cape Town to Southampton. It was fifteen days of luxury. Our cabin 12006 was super, very comfortable and conveniently situated. We could keep a watch on the bridge from our balcony and it was a very short walk to the lifts which whisked us down to the gym, the library or the spa. The small covered pool is on deck 12 so ...
