Review for a Africa Cruise on Norwegian Jade

Following our experience on a Norwegian Jade cruise to South Africa and Namibia in January 2023, we can’t recommend NCL. Food was mediocre, apart from the speciality restaurants. There were few enrichment or other on-board activities and there seemed an expectation that sunning ourselves, listening to the over-amplified entertainers, taking dips in the rather small swimming pools or availing ...

We chose this 12 day cruise as a special celebration of my husband's and my big birthday year. It was very expensive (including RT airfare on BA from the UK). The reason we chose this cruise was because we wanted to see a lot of wildlife so we bought 5 tours (4 animal reserves and 1 desert trip). 3 of the tours were cancelled at the last minute supposedly for weather conditions in two cases and ...

We went on our dream cruise on the Sinfonia out of Cape Town to Walvis Bay, we left Cape Town 2 hours late the sea was quite rough and we arrived in Walvis Bay 2 hours late and this took 2 hours of our tour of Walvis Bay and Swakopmund I was peeved of as it cost quite a lot for the tour and we had to be back on board by 14.30 to sail at 16.00. We got on our way and arrived back in Cape Town some 4 ...

NCL knew before the Dubai leg of this trip to Cape Town took place , that the Corona Virus would prevent us reaching any ports other than the UAE. and one of them was awful. The Captain did not communicate any useful information to us and on several occasions told lies about what was to take place at each port of call. This is by far the worse cruise we have ever taken on NCL (This was our ...

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Seabourn Sojourn

We have just finished our "Capetown to Singapore" part of the Sojourn World Cruise. BACKGROUND My wife and I used to be died-in-the-wool Seabourn fans and have Diamond (250+ days) status. We loved the experience. That all fell apart on a cruise in 2016 when they were introducing Thomas Keller (but before they had the separate TK Grill). The quality and variety of food dropped so bad that we ...

Before we embarked MSC and Bok radio knew we would not leave the port yet they kept us hoping. Luggauge was lost no toilet paper in rooms. Our Dining times was changed without notifying us. Now you offer us $25 to spend on the ship per cabinr that costed us R21 000.00 without the drinks. . Food was almost the same everyday. Bar and restaurant staff rude and unhelpful all drinks was served in paper ...

i have been on this cruise before and had the time of my life, needless to say this time round i had told all my friends and family join, we were about 21, adults and kids. I had elderly members in my group who had never traveled, now they get to enjoy the cruise and its luxuries with their kids and grand kids. I was to celebrate my daughters 1st and nieces 3rd birthday on board or so we ...

We and our extended family have travelled numerous occassions with the MSC and had pleasant and fun experiences, but the recent trip with MSC Musica was a disaster. We've made a few trips with the ship; Meditteranean cruise, Cruise to Maurituis, Durban to Portuguese Island, Cape Town to P.E to Durban. This was the worst trip ever, having to cram the whole journey in 2 days. We were rocking ...

I struggle to say something positive about my 12 day cruise. Embarkation should have warned us what to expect,3 and a half hours in a filthy smelly derelict warehouse with no water or toilets and NO MSC STAFF The staff are demotivated and disorganised very few taking any pride in their work No one listened to anything you asked or said The ship is just waiting for a outbreak of ...

Well where to start with this one ! I have been on a number of cruises and decided to include one on my recent visit to South Africa, bad choice as this cruise was easily the worst I have ever been on. Too much went wrong to detail everything but I'll have a go. Embarkation at Cape Town was a nightmare. We had to wait 3.5 hrs to board. We had to q up in a deserted shell of a warehouse covered ...
