We where on the cruise that got stuck at sea ! Not their fault, but the lack of communication was. It was a guessing game, not cool. And then the repeat of the food got old very quickly. There is way to many people on the ship and as for the Q's they never stop literary from start to Finnish. The dining was average at best no variety, as for the wine most where not in available, lunch was repeated too many times. Breakfast was fine. The cabin was fine but not the size we where told it would be we where told 28.5m and it was 15m. There was no control of smokers on board and the smell of efuent was every where. The submission of the insurance claim how ever went without a problem well done. The cruise on a whole was not bad but for that price I think they can and should do better. Well that's my opinion. Activities on the cruise was chosen to fit all ages and tastes. There was something on the program for everyone Was easy to decide which activities to participate in. The live shows were of excellent quality and high standard. Very good value for money. The buffet was adequate to cater for all tastes, cultures and dietary requirements. Each person could have a full plate of whatever was their taste. The restaurants had excellent, well trained waiters. Their skill and professionalism did not go unnoticed. Was also extremely impressed with the way the staff handled the delayed disembarking time due to bad weather. As a person who works with difficult people all the time, the professional manner of staff impressed highly. The extra programs that was distributed, as well as the handling of the challenges some passengers were noted and admired. You have excellent people working on board. Thank you for a great experience!!!! Read Less

Chose the cruise to relax and have fun.The Dream Team were disappointing. None of the usual fun activities I am accustomed to. The cruise director was boring and the shows were not up to the usual standard that I have experienced on previous cruises. He announced on the first night to not miss "Novelty Quest", well it was conspicuous by it's absence. I was not the only one who found the female singer's voice at the theater to be unpleasant to the ears. The South African staff were not very obliging. When I asked for help when registering my credit card at the machine, she was downright rude to me. Francisco, our table waiter was very efficient and friendly, but felt his stress. The wines we requested from the first night on board were not available, ( found out two days later we could purchase the wine we wanted at one of the bars), the wine steward ( female South African) was hopeless. By the time the wine arrived we had almost finished eating. I can only say that that I have had much better experiences with MSC in the past, but have put it down to the fact that it is a bigger ship with less staff. Still deciding whether I want to take my chances on the Orchestra next year. Read Less

Ship's crew, staff, and officers were very friendly and competent. They took very good care of us and made us feel appreciated. Production team (4 singers/dancers, 2 fantastic dancers) were excellent. Overall food quality and service was very good. Ken Beattie was one of the best guest lecturers we have ever had. We did the Oceania precruise out of Johannesburg which included Victoria Falls, and Chobe Marina Reserve (2 game drives and one river experience). Had a great time. We are very glad that we got to visit/experience these ports. Most were not the usual tourist ports which meant they didn't have as much infrastructure, but that was one of the reasons we booked this cruise. We have been to most of the typical tourist ports. It was great getting to interface with some of the locals and learn about totally different life styles. One of our best/favorite cruises (and we have cruised a lot (>800 days), due to the unusual/different nature of the ports, and the onboard experience. We have cruised most of the usual cruise lines, but this was our first on Oceania. We were very pleased and would be very pleased to cruise with them again. One item that was less than ideal was the showroom. Their are 8 sister ships of which this is one, and they were all built with a single deck/level showroom, which means most seats have a lousy/restricted view of the stage (especially frustrating for watching dancers). Lecturers, singers, etc. are not a problem since you can see the top half of the performer. Some evenings the entertainment was a movie. In my opinion they should have live entertainment every night. However, we still had a fabulous time. Read Less

We took this cruise to celebrate my daughters first birthday. The cruise itself was good, but due to high winds we were not able to dock on the last day. As a result we had to spend an extra two nights at sea. With 2 small kids on board it became quite difficult to manage as we were not prepared for the extra 2 nights. The facilities were great, especially the kids club. We were most disappointed with the food in the restaurants. It wasn’t awful, but it wasn’t great either. The last day in particular was quite bad as the ship started to run out of food. Overall a good experience but not quite what we expected. We were made to cover the cost of beverages for the extra two nights which we were obviously not prepared for. Even though it was impossible to provide for all guests there should’ve have been care taken towards families with kids. Read Less

We chose this cruise departing on 20th January as it was advertised in the UK and looked interesting visiting different places in South Africa, along with Namibia and Mozambique. Embarking was the worst we have ever experienced, no guidance or help. Cabin 11171 was good and roomy, no issues there! Namibia ended up being the only port of call on the 12 day trip that was there on the correct day and for the advertised time, all the rest of the stops were either shortened dramatically or cancelled, with at times not too much explanation. We ended up floating of Cape Town for 2 days, due to wind, sea swell so could not dock, to us British looked like a lovely calm summers days! Apparently the harbour is not well designed in taking a cruise boat in if slight wind/swell. Overall very disappointed with the experience, due to many things, lack of information, repeat menus, repeat entertainment, buffet reminded me of a school canteen so avoided it, having to change cruise card every 4th day and lots of immigration. Being warned of the $50 visa each for Mozambique would have been good, we did know we had to get one btw. This cruise was never designed for the UK market in my belief but for South Africans who wanted a 4 day eating, drinking jolly. Read Less

Itinerary was our priority and I fully understand missing Mombasa but from then on it went downhill. Due to currents etc.???, we battled to make ports on time, resulting in less and less time in port. There was no plan B with Nautica, the currents are always there and the weather was not that bad. The itinerary was cut so fine. There was no give in the itinerary, at all, for conditions that are always going to be there. It felt like the cruise was cut short by one day in the initial planning. Oceania this trip, needs to have full days in port for the benefit of the guests. It felt at times that there was a rush and that we were shortchanged The ships entertainment troupe were fantastic, but the guest artists were tired and repetitive, with an occasional singer thrown in. They were not quality. Dining - The Grand Dining Room was a grand disappointment, cold food cold plates and tasteless food, many returned meals with no improvement. It felt like a cafeteria not Grand in anyway, except for the waitering staff, who make up for the quality of food. Tocannas and Polo shamed the GDR with their hot and flavoursome food Service - across the dining spectrum, the wait staff, were either brilliant and attentive or not. On observation, at many a meal, the supervisors stood aloof and were not attentive to what was not happening, leaving it to the good wait staff to try and rectify the poor service. Training was not as good as seen previous, an example, for 20 days we asked for spoons to be in “Waves” for breakfast and eventually it happened for the final 8-10 days. It seems if a guest suggests something you get treated as though you do not know what you are talking about, or know better than supervisor you spoke to. Finally, I would also like to make comment on the complaint process. It seems that complaints are always referred back to head office. A fellow traveler had an issue and wanted to see someone high In management, firstly to talk, before putting it in writing but was told that reception had to decide whether to forward the complaint. This is not a process, but a poor vetting system, where you get the feeling that we will wear you down, and then hope you will give up Read Less

Not only was it far better than expected, but it has made me book my next cruise already for Jan 2020. I am literally counting the days till embarkation!! Thank you MSC for opening my eyes to cruising the open seas in a truly unforgettable manner. We had a longer stay due to the strong winds in the Cape Town port and the staff continued to entertain, smile and keep the good vibes going! How could one not be super greatful. I was ecstatic as were all my friends on the ship. Cannot wait to see the Tucano Lounge again, only 11 months to go and already I can taste the Bloody Mary's, that await me. We chose this cruise because of the unique African itinerary. We have done about 20 other cruises. We are used to sailing with "older" cruisers but this was the first time we felt like we were in a retirement home. This was due to the boring "party" band. Almost everyone on board was in bed by 9pm. Maybe 10pm if you count the uninspiring guest performers shows. Luke's show was an exception, very well done. Niko is a great piano entertainer. The crew were excellent. Food in the Terrace Cafe (buffet) was amazing. This and Waves Grill were the only places we ate. The activities staff did a great job with mini golf, shuffle board, ping pong, trivia and other fun games. The itinerary was nice although we couldn't stop at Kenya for safety concerns. The South African stops are mainly safari starting points and don't offer much else to see. Madagascar, Seychelles, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Malayasia all proved to be excellent ports of call. We can't wait to go back to Seychelles for an extended trip. Singapore is always a great place to start or end a cruise a deserves a few days stay minimum to experience everything they have to offer. Overall we felt this cruise did not offer the value per dollar that other cruise lines offer. We don't see where our extra money was spent. Plus now that the itinerary is changing there are better and more economical options. Read Less

We as family decide to cruise from Cape Town to Walvisbay for the first time everything was good breakfast was okay Lunch in Restaurant was also okay but accept for one thing the Pizza at night as well as day was to hard dry and a waist of time because to little topping. Burgers also very dry. Enjoyed the entertainment and activities because all could benefit from it old and young. Services excellence especially Information Desk you do not wait long and they cater for all. Cape Town was a bit of a nerve wrecking situation because some of the people especially me and the first time travelers were nerves and plans was suppose to be canceled for pickup at port. Photo prices really ridicules as it should be less because it should be part of the memories and all cruise package that you will treasure at home and also for marketing purposes. Read Less

This was our first cruise in our lives. In a way we were very impressed but looking deeper under the surface MSC has lots of space to improve their service delivery. Very well aware of fact that this point is most likely not MSC Musica's responsibility but need to be said that waiting for approx 3-4 hours in a queue to go on board without any seating nor refreshments or clean toilet facilities is not a good start. Starting with the cleanliness of the cabin on arrival, we are very well aware of the fact that staff has only very limited time available to clean the cabin. However, on arrival I would expect it spotless. Though our cabin steward Arnaud Napetoke was very helpful and professional communicating with the guests: 10 out of 10! But next time take some extra minutes to clean also drawers in cabin and bathroom. Further going to the self-help restaurants: the range of food was certainly enough. However, staff issues in my opinion again like chef and waitress are very busy on their cellphones and laughing a lot (which is great obviously if they are happy) but failed to attend to guests. Cleanliness of tables leaves to be desired for. Very often at beverage stations were no cups or not stocked with coffee/tea,sugar. However, the staff in restaurants where one was served was extremely knowledgeable! The cleanliness of tables on the pool deck area leaves also lots of space for improvement. The few bar attenders were good but one needed wait for a while to be served. It would be great before purchasing any beverage voucher to know exact prices on board to make choice of vouchers easier. Missed general signs for toilets which could be easily implemented. This would make a search a lot shorter speicifically if passengers are getting "green" and looking for the closest bathroom). We acnnot comment on shore excursions as we didn't do any. The entertainment team was 15 out of 10, they did a great job and so also the evening professional entertainers. Fantastic shows! Read Less

Went on MSC musica cruise from 20.01.2019 till 24.01.2019 but due to gale force south easterly winds in Cape Town we remained on ship for 2more days only docking on the 26th of January. Wow from the moment we got on the ship everyone was friendly. The hospitality from the staff was excellent. The cabins were emaculate, clean and tidy, everything was beautiful and on it's place, with friendly cleaning staff who cleans the cabins daily. The atmosphere on the ship was tantalising. Despite the delays the staff members were so accommodating and hospitable. As a nurse I found this extremely therapeutic and relaxing to be waited on hand and foot. The food, oh the food was amazing. A wide variety of cuisines with balanced flavours was one of the highlights of my cruise. There was so much entertainment you could keep yourself busy for hours. The onboard photograher took amazing pictures that I will cherish for years to come.MSC musica I applaud you. Thank you for making this cruise one of my best yet. Read Less

We chose this cruise for its itinerary, and that was great. But arriving late 6 times at ports caused problems on tours (never Oceania's fault). Oceania claims to have "the finest cuisine at sea"--NOT TRUE! There were many problems with the cuisine. The coffee does not taste like coffee; we tried every conceivable way to get a good cup of coffee, but it would not happen; it tasted burnt and was strong and bitter. We switched to cappuccinos or lattes and they were palatable. Pizza crust was so hard you could not cut it or chew it; many very tough cuts of meat--lamb rack twice, leg of lamb, rib-eye steak in Polo Grill--all were so tough one could not chew them. The desserts were always similar--an excellent cheese cake every night, several mouses that varied but always mouse, a tartlet of some sort. We prefer eating our dinner in the dining room, but service there was so slow we ended up most times in the Terrace Cafe. Both of these venues are very crowded with each table almost touching adjacent tables. The cabin is advertised as having down pillows; they were not down but feather. The Blue Book says we have a spacious shower--it was the smallest we have ever had on any cruise ship, and we have cruised over 400 days. This ship is old and tired; it is due for refit in 2020, and certainly needs that! The entertainment was usually excellent. Activities on board were the usual as on any other line. We took 4 Oceania Shore Excursions. Two were good, and two were not. All of their shore excursions are about 3 times the price of private ones that also have a smaller group, so usually that is what we did. Oceania is exhibiting a strong desire to make money, but not deliver on services. For instance, they repeatedly denied any possibility of having a Bridge Director for games and lessons. They wanted to sell the cabin. But on the day of the cruise, they phoned the Bridge Director from their previous cruise who was already at the airport and asked her to return. She had 13 days at sea for bridge, with 117 people involved in a day! This does not make money for them, so they would rather sell the cabin than provide a service that people enjoy. Also, we missed the port of Mombasa; however, Oceania has kept the port charges and fees that everyone paid. It was our money that paid for these port charges, so why should Oceania get to keep about $50,000? Each person on that cruise paid $1607 in taxes, fees, port charges. The staff were excellent. They were attentive, friendly and willing to overcome the problems we faced. But some things did not go away! We will be happy to cruise again on Princess, Holland America and Celebrity where the money spent reflects the value received. This was definitely not the case with Oceania!! Read Less

We were 10 family members that went on the MSC Musica cruise from 20th January 2019 to 24 January 2019. We thoroughly enjoyed it and what an experience. The staff were very professional and helpful, especially the two waiters, Zamah Sery and Santos Robles of L Oleandro Restaurant gave us excellent service. The entertainment (the shows in the theater) to my opinion was not that great. The dancing was excellent, but the singing was terrible. If it was not for the dancers and the acrobats it would have been a huge failure. The other entertainment in the lounges were excellent. The games and entertainment on the deck was well organised. What really impressed me is that they could quickly organise events for the extra two nights we had to spend on the ship. Well done to all the staff. This needs to be done! Embarkation was a disastrous experience. There must a way to divide the passengers into groups with different time slots. It will definitely prevent queuing for more than two and a half hours. Some of the elderly people did find difficult to stand that long. Disembarkation was much easier. The worst experience, however, was that we were left in the dark regarding docking. The captain should have kept the passengers informed with regard to problems that made it impossible to enter the port in Cape Town. The people on land were sometimes better informed than us. The ship itself was clean and the majority of the staff friendly and very helpful. Our cabin was clean and the up-keeping was outstanding. The service provided by Mr Putu was outstanding. He was also very helpful in regards to stuff that was not part of his job. The food, entertainment and other activities was excellent. I would have liked it more if I would have been able to sit where-ever I want during dinner. It should be handled in the same way as during breakfast and lunch. I would do it again. Read Less

We LOVED Oceania's ms Nautica! Only 650 passengers (maximum possible = 684), and a huge, very international crew. An older but well-maintained intimate ship, full of beautiful art; fabulous food (the best we have ever savoured afloat); excellent singers and dancers; a personable cruise director (he made up for the humourless captain); and great cabin/dining service in every respect. Very comfortable (if small) cabin and adequate (if miniscule) bathroom. Bellíssimo, a most talented Ukrainian string quartet (from the Putin-menaced Donets region) played classical and popular music for hours ever day; good evening entertainment, especially the specially invited singers and comedians; a daily MENSA quiz, puzzles, and challenging games of trivia and an art scavenger hunt; reasonable enrichment program, delivered by a knowledgeable astronomer and an egocentric Canadian biologist who attempted to introduce the history and culture of the ports of call, but was out of his depth whenever he strayed from his narrow speciality; FREE internet with superb connectivity; a good library (but lacking almanacs, a good dictionary, and an encyclopedia). All this comes at a cost which tests the limits of our cruising budget. However, it illustrates the old adage, "You get what you pay for." When we look back at about 60 nights of cruising with Celebrity; 300+ nights with Holland America; and single cruises with Princess, Royal Caribbean, Swan-Hellenic (now bankrupt), and MSC, we would say that Oceania is superior to all of them. When we did not purchased any of the rather high-priced (and often mediocre) ship-organized excursions, we simply took the shuttle bus, which the Shore Excursion desk almost always organized, and went to wherever it took us. They were always safe spots, even in Durban, from where we could walk without fear of being mugged. Read Less

We chose this cruise as we had done the trip up to Mozambique from Durban twice before, and felt like a change of departure city, ship and itinerary. We felt like the ship was overcrowded, way to few seating in the buffet area and pool decks. No system to keep order and no assistance with children or babies in the buffet area. Being pushed an bumped while trying to get a meal for my baby was very frustrating & tedious. Often there was no disinfectant at the entrance to the buffet. But the food was tasty and plentiful stocked, with good friendly service from the staff. Our cabin was a good size for us and our son, also clean and neat (except it didn't have hand soap by the basin in the bathroom. Our experience with our cabin and staff was good. But the last 2 nights (which were unexpected and unplanned due to winds and not being able to go back into the harbor) our sleeper couch was not set up, the mini bar was locked and it felt like the service had just gone on hold- very disappointing. We felt like the itinerary was not nearly as fun and exciting as our previous trips. Previously there was themed deck party's or even themed days- here there was non. Only some games during the hottest time of the day- but also just to busy to even try. The dj music was overly repeated, monotonous and not from all genres/ cultures. Our son went to baby club as he is under 3. He loved it completely and I can commend Gouwe his 'teacher" for her time, love and patience with him & the other kids. We felt like the location of the baby club was rather silly, as it was out side on the top deck, by what felt like the windiest area. Collecting was a mission on the windy days as even opening the door was a great task. As our son was in baby club, he only got 3 sessions a day at an hour at a time, we were very disappointed and frustrated to learn on the one morning that the 'teacher' was scheduled to do a safety drill during our ONE hour. I'm sure they could have done it at a time that she was not on duty per the schedule or the day we were on shore. The shore day ran smoothly, we got a taxi to a near by yacht club and enjoyed our time there before returning to the ship with out hassles or delays. I managed to use the gym facilities twice and really enjoyed it. Enough equipment and good aircon. We thouroughly enjoyed Melvin from the cigar lounge and Giovvani from the bar in the buffet area. They were always friendly, made an effort with us and went the extra mile. Lastly, we are aware that it was out of the ship and crews control that we had to stay the extra 2 days and nights due to strong winds. But what we were not happy about was the lack of communicationfrom the bridge. We feel like they knew on the thursday morning already that we would only be able to go in on the saturday morning- yet they kept us on a line until Friday evening. We lived out of our bag for this time as we were unsure when we would be disembarking, hoping any minute. Had they just told us from the begining what the plan was- we could have moved all our post-cruise plans acordingly, unpacked and relaxed. We could feel the tension of both the guests and the staff because we felt like we were left in the dark. Unfortunately we will not be doing a local cruise with MSC again, and would also not likely recommend the trip to friends or family. Read Less

They just told us they cannot change that. On deck 13 there were "Call for bar service buttons". Nothing happens when pressing it. (I tried more than once) Don't know why they put it on the tables. We had an bad incident at the entertainment area and need security, but they were not in site. Maybe they must be more visible on all decks. People from other tables saw what happened and helped me. The food was great and the variety more than enough. Thanks to all the hardworking guys in the kitchen! We wait very long for the food in the evening, but is was worthwhile! The rows to embarkation were not flow for a very long time. People wait to long in rows and in the sun. Disembarkation and embarkation in Walvisbay went very smooth and quick. Well where to start with this one ! I have been on a number of cruises and decided to include one on my recent visit to South Africa, bad choice as this cruise was easily the worst I have ever been on. Too much went wrong to detail everything but I'll have a go. Embarkation at Cape Town was a nightmare. We had to wait 3.5 hrs to board. We had to q up in a deserted shell of a warehouse covered in birds dropping with no facilities, no water, no info from crew, a terrible start to any holiday. Food was of a very low standard, both in the 24x7 cafeteria and the restaurant evening meals. Fine dining it was not, cold soup and badly presented, small food portions, a good way to lose weight ! The service throughout the ship was really poor. Crew did not seem to care and the ones that did were vastly overworked, IE large bar areas took about 20 mins to get a drink as only 1 bar person on duty. This was the norm, it looked as though there were not enough staff on the ship to cope with the crowds of people. The ship seemed rammed with people who mostly camped out in the 24 x 7 cafeteria eating all day. As a consequence it was a nightmare trying to get a a) food and b) a table to sit at during breakfast and lunch. The South Africans on board just camped out there for the day eating. The staff were not that helpful either when you asked them to help you get a table, total chaos ! Hand sanitisers at each restaurant door were either not working or empty. There was no effort made by the crew to make sure every person entering the eating areas sanitised their hands, its a wonder we didn't have a food poisoning outbreak on board. I could go on and on but I am sure you get my drift as to the type of cruise this was. To me it was one small step up from a booze cruise. It was so bad that the Europeans on board demanded a meeting with the Senior staff. We had a meeting in one of the lounges with the Hotel Manager, Customer Relations manager, Second in command to the Captain and the Housekeeping Manager. There were about 200 to 300 hundred irate people complaining to them, BTW the Captain was a no show throughout the cruise not even a tannoy announcement from him. We complained about the service, meals, sanitisation and other items but I felt theses fell on deaf ears. One thing that was said was that the cruises are planned for the local market and they obviously felt the SA people on board were happy with what I would say was a 3 star Spanish hotel experience. They did say that for Europe they upgraded the experience and for North America upgraded even higher. This was a cruise that should have not been sold to Europeans as the standard was deliberately low to match the local market. We asked for compensation but I'm not sure if anything will happen, just make sure if you ever cruise with MSC you dont do it tin South Africa , in fact choose another cruise company entirely. I choose it to relax, which I definitelydid. The dining service was beyond excellent especially the waiters named Anga and Rikki from Indonesia.( Dining on the 6th floor) The staff on the whole always helpful and friendly. Marco was the best when it came to entertainment on the 13 floor. Overall the entertainment staff were top notch. The live music was excellent and the shows too. Room service regarding cleaning was top notch. Food was excellent except for the juice they served at breakfast on the 5th floor was terrible. the kiddies room was awesome and the ladies working in it. The cleaning staff impressed me , at the rate the deck and dining rooms were kept clean. Embarkment was not to wonderful but also not too bad from the South African side. Cabin wise , i feel some of the furniture could be removed since it fills the room and not really needed. Overall it was an excellent cruise and awesome experience. I will definitely go on more cruise. Read Less

The cruise was an amazing adventure - from the cities of Cape Town, Colombo & Singapore to island countries of Seychelles & Maldives, being able to see 4 of the Big 5 (elephant, African buffalo, rhino, lion & leopard - only one we didn't see was the leopard). Some amazing sights in the various ports - giant turtles of the Seychelles, the submarine ride in the Maldives, Freddy Mercury's birthplace in Zanzibar, the beautiful Buddhist temple in Colombo, among others. Singapore is beautiful. But we traveled over 8000 miles on a ship that was 20 years old & had been refurbished (i.e., changed the colors of the interior) 4 times. It was small & cramped. Internet service was terrible (e.g., no internet service in any of the restaurants or the buffet; logging in all the time, as only one device per cabin could be on at one time). Embarkation was a struggle - we had taken the pre-cruise excursion to Victoria Falls & Chobe National Park (highly recommend this excursion!). However, the trip back from this excursion included 2 air flights (Vic Falls --> Johannesburg --> Cape Town) with a 2-hour layover in Johannesburg to pick up luggage. By the time we got to the ship, it was 9 pm & the crew wasn't ready for us! No food (you can order room service), a struggle to get our luggage to our cabins, and a surprised attitude from the crew. To top it off, most of us had an early morning Cape Town excursion. So, between getting settled in our cramped (~215 sq foot) cabin, the long day of travel, and the time it took to be on-boarded, we didn't get to bed until midnight. UGH! Even though it's a 30-day cruise, pack light!!! The closet space is non-existent, very little space. Laundry was on our level but was constantly busy. The machines took tokens, which were sold out (how does that work?), so toward the end of the cruise, it was a crap-shoot as to whether you can launder your clothes. Also, best to use laundry on port days - everybody used the laundry on sea days. Onboard entertainment was OK; the shows in the evening were ehhh. There were enough activities onboard to keep most people busy. I liked the 4 pm tea service - nice selection of pastries to go with the teas. Food was pretty good. We usually ate at the buffet - it had plenty of variety as well a few standards. Loved the bread selection. The specialty restaurants were good, but had a fixed menu that didn't change over the entire cruise. Service was very good - everyone was nice, considerate and willing to assist you. The shore excursions, with a couple of exceptions, were top-notch. Overall, it was an enjoyable voyage, if only because we got to share with my wife's sisters & brothers-in-law. Read Less

Staff, Cruise Director, Chefs, food and service absolutely first rate, and not just for a few days...it was 35 days of pampering. FANTASTIC... keep it up Oceania. CONS: The drinks were pricey, but we could have picked a drink package. Casino was very quiet slots extremely tight, but Manager explained Oceania has just taken contract back from previous independent operator and will be making improvements and changes... PROS: Superb food in all venues. Best shellfish and steaks at sea without question. Most nights a local or specialty offering available on top of regular menus. All desserts and home baked breads delicious. Service was tops. Bar, room, cabin, butlers, restaurants.... always a smile and a greeting, day after day... a happy and delightful team working connected by pride in their work. SUPERB Entertainment good, stand outs : the Bellissimo Quartet with classical strings, then did a wild rock show on strings too!! Cruise director, John E. With his own hilarious show, also extra crew shows such as Beat the Chef , party undet the stars in Seychelles. Clever, fun and innovative fresh ideas. Great team No more to say... back with Nautica, next we go! Read Less

This was our 3rd time with msc and have never been impressed with them, but chose this cruise for the itinerary It is a very nice ship but the organisation is abismal, lack of communication, public areas not very clean, toilets often dirty and no toilet paper.Poor choice of food, small portions and overall not very good. If you are using the public toilets make sure you there is toilet paper in there! ! The cabin was small but OK, the cabin steward was excellent, nothing was too much trouble, he was very polite. He kept the cabin spotlessly clean. Embarkation was chaotic and that is putting it mildly.Queues in the reception .We area were always long and slow moving. We were very lucky to have an excellent waiter in the the restaurant but not everyone was so lucky. There is an obvious lack of training in the staff. If all staff were adequately trained it would make a big difference. Definitely will not go by Msc again. Read Less
