50th Anniversary Cruise

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Viking Star

We chose this cruise so we could celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary in a special way. This was our first cruise. I would have liked at least two days at each port for further sightseeing. Half a day was just too short. We ate primarily at the World Cafe. I can control what I eat and how much I eat better at a buffet. I don't eat fish and felt there was an over abundance of fish featured ...

Ordinary Fall cruise to New England/Canada

We book this cruise every year. 3rd time on Princess. For us, no fly. Pleasant week . Great ports. For once, the weather cooperated. In past years we missed a port or two due to weather. Embarkation was a breeze. We finally found a convenient way to access the Brooklyn cruise pier by using the water taxi from pier 11 at Wall St. It drops off at Red Hook across from the ship. Just ...

We booked this cruise because we thought it would be a good way to see some East Coast cities and hopefully see some fall colors. We both felt that the food was good and had no complaints. One specific issue we had with the buffet was getting a table to sit at. This seems to be a problem with most of the cruises that we have been on lately. Embarkation was in Brooklyn. It was raining and ...

Overall we enjoyed our trip. The housekeeping staff were wonderful, as were the staff members in the Windjammer and Main Dining Room on Deck 4. I also thought that the shore excursions were well organized. And the tour guides were very knowledgeable. However, we had a number of problems with the Guest Services staff. We needed to borrow a wheelchair and the member at the desk flat out refused, ...

Cabin, Concierge Class- the shower floor does slope properly and never fully drains- ship was refurbished 2019 - hard to believe this has not been corrected; destinations great but too little time in St John NB and Halifax- remove a stop and more overnights needed or later a.m arrival and evening departures; tendering process in Rockland Maine inexcusable with only 3 tender boats operating - ...

Not what it used to be! Industry wide problems, perhaps, but it's your vacation: don't ignore the problems.

I deal itinerary for four couples escaping the lingering summer heat in Texas joining friends who live in Boston. We've sailed Celebrity before and always enjoyed it. We've been cruising for over 40 years and have sailed most of the major lines and some of the luxury brands like Crystal and Silver Seas. Over these decades there have been many changes including mostly those reflecting more of ...

Wanted an accessible getaway with no flight required...and this worked. Pleasantly surprised and loved the smaller ship. The food could have been hotter but that's about the only real thing that was noteable. Some meals outshined others...but we had no complaints....the buffet was a buffet -with a ton of options and the other venues were quite good.. Chefs dinner was phenomenal. We did use room ...

I booked this cruise with two other couples I met on a previous cruise, and we wanted to get together again and decided on this one. Embarkation was very speedy being in the green lane. There was a long line for the blue lane. The food service was good onboard regarding lido deck dining such as Salty Dog or Slices. Dining room was always lengthy. The three times I went to the dining room, it was ...

Coming from the UK our whole trip was a great experience and every day was sunny with no rain at all. That all contributed to some very special memories in a ‘new to us’ part of the world with stunning scenery. We really enjoyed our small group tour in Bar Harbour and time in Quebec to enjoy both a tour of the surrounding area and walk round the old town the next day. We usually have a ...

6 Unique Ports in 7 Days

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Emerald Princess

This is a wonderful cruise if you want to see New England & Canada. Each port is unique, from small towns, to big cities, to a sailing / elite community. Princess Emerald is similar to many other Princess cruise ships. Average food, decor, service, and activities. The focus of this cruise should be on the ports. There is only one day at sea (the last day when the ship return to NYC from ...
