Pros are supposed to go before cons, so I will put the positives first, but please don’t miss the negatives later in this review, because although there were a few redeeming qualities, make no mistake, I would never sail with MSC again.
First positive, all the staff below the managerial level deserve to be commended for being true, if not powerless, delights. We had many wonderful interactions ...
Good stuff first, food was good the dining service staff Cynthia and Sandeep were awesome. Our room Stewart Clarke very friendly did a great job. PEI tour was great. That was the reason we went. My wife is big fan of the Ann of green gables. Getting on was the normal made house stuff you get while getting on a big ship.
The tours :Cabot trail was a few stops enclosing a stop at a closed ...
Let me start with this: I love cruising. I've been on 15+ cruises, from the Odyssey of the Seas to the Nordic Prince that was retired ages ago, from RCCL to Princess to Celebrity to Norwegian to Holland America, and more. As cruises go, this was one I won't ever do again. This was supposed to be a "Fall Colors" cruise, but we missed the colors by a couple weeks, I think, as most trees were bare ...
This was our sixth cruise and after reading the celebrity board and reading all of the cheerleaders' reviews we were very excited to try celebrity and especially the summit. People raved about the food, service, and ship. They said it was the best of the fleet. Well, if that is their best they are in serious trouble.
The staff was very friendly, but they must be stretched very thin. It was ...
The BOGO airfare worked well for us. Check in was a breeze. Our ocean view room was fine & kept clean. We enjoyed the entertainment. All the servers, bar tenders & personnel went out of their way to make our trip enjoyable. Two of our ports were cancelled in Halifax & St John due to weather. We had an extra sea day & stop in Portland MA. Also we couldn't tender in Martha's Vineyard. ...
Chose this cruise because we wanted to see Fall Colors in Canada/New England and had had favorable experiences on Princess in the past.
However, this is an OLD ship (2004 refurbished 2019) and shows its age as well as lack of modern amenities. Although we didn't pay the most for our oceanview cabin we did not expect it to have bunk beds which protruded from the wall on either side of the queen ...
We had booked this cruise hoping to see fall colors but much of the trees had not yet turned. We booked an overnight stay in Montreal with Princess before embarking on the cruise. Montreal accommodations were nice but the transfer process was lacking. The busses picked us up so late that we didn’t reach the ship until 4:00 pm which caused us to miss out on several hours in Quebec City. The ...
We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and because we had a great time on our last Celebrity cruise a few years back. This time around was a different experience. We arrived to our room and the floor had not been vacuumed. A large hairball was on the floor, a piece of used soap was stuck to the tissue box. We found a used razor on a shelf. Old fruit loops were under the bed, and there was a ...
I went with some friends celebrating a big birthday while at sea. It was my first cruise experience and I was very disappointed. My friends are experienced cruisers and they have a good frame of reference for the cleanliness, service and amenties and they too were disappointed. Our cabin was tiny and storage was nil. I had to live out of my suitcase shoved under the bed for a significant amount ...
We have been cruising with Celebrity for many years and finally had the opportunity to travel on a much-anticipated New England/Canada fall cruise this year. We loved the itinerary and lucked out in picking a date which avoided two hurricanes, one which affected the cruise right before ours and one which might disrupt the cruise following ours. We were so fortunate and had great weather ...
