We chose this cruise because it traveled to places we’d never been before. We are still on the cruise as I’m writing this and we’re not very happy. The food at the Lido buffet is absolutely terrible and that seems to be the consensus is most of the passengers we’ve spoken to. The only very good food on the ship is at the Pinnacle Grill but there is a hefty surcharge and reservations are difficult ...
This ship hasn't been renovated since it was launched in 2009 and it really shows. A cruise ship is a floating hotel. This is like a cheap roadside motel. One that is insanely crowded so you wait in line for everything. Every detail is wrong from the thin, stained towels to the table cloths in the main dining room, also covered in stains. We got to the show 30 minutes early and were turned away ...
Weather as expected, cool & rainy, but it was great weather for reading a book and watching the scenery go by. We did this cruise the first time in 2014 and thought it would be fun to do again...and it was. Biggest change is Canada has now restricted speed to 10 knots an hour to protect whales in area. We thought this was a great change although it did cut time in port by an hour to several in ...
Most of my review compares our Royal Caribbean cruise in June on Oasis of the Seas with this trip. Overall, NCL did not have to deal with any covid restrictions while RC did for our last trip. The Oasis is bigger than the Breakaway. While less grand, the Breakaway was far more manageable for me to find things and get around.
Embark was great. Easy. Our App didn’t work in advance but they ...
We chose this participar cruise because of the low price, proximity to home, and where in ended (in PR). This would allow us to spend a few extra days on the island.
We arrive promptly at a check in time at 10:30 AM. although the check in process was a breeze because we had prefilled all our documentation online, the onboarding process was slow. No one was allowed to board regardless of your ...
"Seabourn clearly do not prioritize guests' interests, needs, health or safety." "Rotten food, serious service issues, and a dangerous cruise overall" I would sail with just about any cruise line rather than Seabourn in the future. They claim to be "ultra-luxury" but proved to be our worst cruise experience ever!
We are long-time experienced cruise guests having completed 30+ cruises over the ...
We chose this cruise because we thought we would see fall in Canada. We had to change rooms because of the smell, food was atrocious, I was run into at the casino by a staff member, nothing to do at the ports, and came home with covid x2. This is not the Royal Caribbean of the past. Crew members smelled like smoke. The comedian told a viagra joke which we did not find funny. I could not ...
We chose the cruise starting in Quebec City and ending in New York City, stopping in ports along the St Lawrence Seaway. We were eager to see what Silver Sea had to offer, since they bill themselves as an all-suites luxury line. Among the better aspects of the cruise were the ports and excursions. We also enjoyed meeting some very congenial people.
Now for the truly disappointing aspects. ...
We booked a cruise with NCL, also paid for them to book our flights, and paid for transport to and from the airport to ship. Our paperwork from NCL stated to fly from American Airlines. When in reality the airlines subcontracted it out to another airline .5 miles away! Total screw-up on NCL end! Cruse was ok, though the hot tub was only 98 degrees. Everything was extra, and you paid dearly for it. ...
First room smelled like sewage so we did not even unpack. Was moved to room the air didn’t work. Then they moved us to the Covid-19’s and isolation section. Did not say a word about being isolated section we just kept seeing more and more doors blocked red stickers on doors. Why would you place at risk seniors in the middle of an isolation section. Is this not elder abuse. I ask if the CDC ...
