Absolutely brilliant! Loved everything about the cruise, from the moment I was picked up in Cairo I felt cared for, safe and they treated me like a queen. Hospitality like I’ve never experienced before. The food, the service, the friendships I formed were incredible. The best cruise experience of my life. We left from Luxor and had over a week on board the SS Sphinx with captain Sameh and his ...

My husband and I returned recently from our Egyptian tour with Uniworld. We cannot possibly say enough good things about this company. They were exceptional in every way! We were met as we got off the plane in Cairo by a Uniworld representative who guided us through the immigration process, secured our luggage and took us outside to a waiting vehicle and driver for our trip to the Four Seasons ...

In this review of our Nile river cruise I provided some travel tips and a day by itinerary review. Travel tips Choose a cruise line that will take care of you from arrival to departure. Cairo is a difficult city to visit on your own. This is not a walking city. You will need to negotiate taxi fares everywhere you go. The airports are also much different than other countries and can be ...

Very disappointing

The cruise was very disappointing. Staff tried to be helpful. Suite was nice with sliding windows. We expected to be able to relax in our suite and have a full view of the river or shore during the cruise and while docked. Any positive aspects of the cruise were completely overshadowed, however by the fact that 3 of the 7 days when the ship was docked we looked directly into a bedroom on the ...

We'd always been interested in Egypt and had seen artifacts over the years at different museums. The highlight was a traveling exhibit of spectacular discoveries from 2019 which we saw in San Francisco in 2022, and an email from Uniworld a few months later had us hooked and ready to book this Cruise. We learned on Day 1 that we had a brilliant scholar and a humorous, thoughtful and caring ...

In this review of the Uniworld SS Sphinx, Splendors of Egypt and the Nile River cruise, in addition to the usual customer review, I will try and answer questions that I wondered about and could not find answers to before I went on the trip. Arrival Arrival in Cairo depends in part on the airline you take to fly into the city. For us, it was an easy entry into the arrivals area, with access ...

One of the best vacations we've had in a long time. A Nile River Cruise has been on our bucket list and this did not disappoint. From the moment we were met at Cairo Airport everything was well organised - the Four Seasons Hotel in Cairo was very good, our room was spacious and comfortable and the Riviera Italian restaurant was very good. Service on ship was good, staff friendly and helpful. ...

We’d been to Egypt several times over the years, and wanted to return. We spotted an advertisement for a Uniworld cruise on the Nile that seemed to include so much, plus a few days in Cairo. It turned out to be a fantastic trip, with everything one could possibly want included: business class air fare, 5 star Cairo hotel, daily fully guided tours, meal time drinks and , of course, an ...

The places visited were spectacular and the sites and scenes along the Nile were almost magical, however the itinerary of getting to and from these places was somewhat cumbersome. There were a total of 6 plane rides including the Abu Simbel option. I believe this is just the nature of the beast one has to go through in order to see these sites. The only negative I would place on the itinerary is ...
