Wonderful

Review for Island Sky (APT) to South Pacific

This is a very special ship and a very special company. Our 4th trip with them. The whole experience is a delight and the staff and crew are outstanding. Please ignore any previous adverse comments which completely jar with our experience. All the cabins are of high quality and about the same size. The premium cabin have a balcony and larger windows but the actual cabin space is the same. Open ...

This was our 3rd Azamara cruise. We are very happy with the cruise line, service is amazing from the maintenance workers to the captain. Everyone is friendly and go out of their way to help with whatever. The ship was going in for an overhaul as soon as we all got off. Having said that, the ship was in excellent condition, wish we could have seen the change. The evening shows were ...

Chose this cruise due to an interest in Komoda Island and it was our first adventure with Azamara. Booking and document process was smooth and efficient and also the boarding at Cairns. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and supportive. A minor issue raised by us during the cruise re pillows and laundry was quickly addressed in a very caring manner. All in all it was a positive ...

I am retired in Thailand with a lovely young wife, I have been cruising for over 50 yrs, and done maybe 40 plus cruises, and around 10 with Azamara, we currently have three booked Azamara is at the top of our comfort zone money wise, we do not like crowds, we do not stay up and party all the time, often when in port we stay on the ship, we prefer not to be harassed by children, and the ...

We travelled last year with Azamara and greatly enjoyed the smaller ship feel, comfort and convenience. This cruise, from Cairns to Singapore offered us the chance to see some things on our ‘to do’ list, especially Komodo and Borobudur. Embarkation in Cairns was efficient and since Quest and Journey are almost identical, it was very easy to settle in. We enjoyed a quick look at Thursday Island ...

First Azamara cruise but not our last

We chose this cruise for the itinerary and an opportunity to try Azamara. We were very satisfied with everything aboard ship. As suite passengers we had free access to the premium dining venues. Prime C was excellent and would have been worth the upcharge non-suite passengers paid. The other venue was hit or miss. Cabin and dining service were everything one could ask for. Entertainment we ...

Review for Le Laperouse to Australia & New Zealand

(Apologies if this is a bit long, but I know i love to get all the details when I read a review!) Day 1 - Boarding As others have noted Ponant are very strict with their 1 hour boarding window, and even turning up 15 minutes early meant we were only able to leave our luggage and head for a beer in the brewery next door! Boarding in Cairns was very straightforward, with no Immigration ...

Words can’t do this cruise justice as is was far beyond anything that you expect The team are great and very knowledgeable. They are only too happy to share this with you. The wild life is amazing, beautiful and diverse. The zodiac tours are great with lots of penguins all around you and the ship at Macca. They follow you like babies following mum. They are so fast in the water and ...

Loved the experience of visiting remote areas seldom visited by cruise ships. The locals provided us with unforgettable experiences! Highlight was swimming with whale sharks! Staff was excellent and couldn't be faulted. Any minor issues were dealt with very professionally. Passengers came from all over the world and most of them understood what an expedition cruise is all about. Expedition crew ...

Great Itinerary Poor Ship

Review for Silver Discoverer to South Pacific

User Avatar

10+ Cruises • Age 70s

I chose this trip for the itinerary, but I overpaid for a worn out ship. The ship rolled a lot in the rough waters. There were no stabilizers. We paid for one of the best cabins but it looked like a Hilton from the nineteen nineties. The common areas were also dated and worn with seat cushions with little effective padding left. The ships systems were unreliable: the toilets stopped working on ...
