On March 30, 2022, we booked Princess cruise tour H304/ 19 days – from 1/30 to 2/20/2023 includes flight times, for (Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Chile). Following is our personal experience with Princess. We choose Princess since we have journeyed with them before, with happy experience. This time it was unpleasant experience, and I rate them “C”.

We were on the 32 day "Andes and Cape Horn Grand Adventure" cruise around S. America. It was a very enjoyable cruise with a relaxed pace. Many of the port stops are at commercial ports/cities with not a lot to see; you have to travel to see the main cities/sites. Unfortunately, this was not communicated and understood.

This was one of the most amazing cruises I have been on. The itinerary was amazing (Buenos – Antarctic), but I have had other amazing itineraries. The NCL Star was actually the “Star”. This cruise was scheduled and rescheduled several times due to Covid and, in the end, exceeded our expectations! We were so lucky with sunshine, smooth seas and abundant sea life and the crew capitalized on all of it.

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary, now having visited all seven continents. We are glad we did it. Antarctica was a dream of mine, but I wish I had booked with another company. Celebrity knew we were 3 adults and they intended to put me on a sofa for a small child. We chose this cruise for the ship and the itinerary. Going into we knew she was old, however five months prior we were on the Infinity for a seven days cruise. It was excellent. So we went into it with all positives. Mistake. From no varletry in food nor wine to short staff.

Last year we cruised from buenos aires to South Shettland Islands with NCL on 2023 February 12th. It was a panoramic cruise but too intersting.
We watched a lot of whales in Elephant Island, great landscapes of glaciers and Cientifics bases in Admiralty Bay, penguins in puerto madrin, ushuaia and punta arenas,and a lof of birds during the trip.

The NCL (minus 2) STAR was not passenger friendly.
NCL should reconsider the FREESTYLE approach. Having standards is a GOOD thing. We spent a lot of money for this cruise and I did not get what I expected
The three positive were, the crew was great, service was excellent, and the excursions were first rate

This was the perfect blend of South American ports and 2.5 days around the Antarctica Peninsula.
