Really excellent ship with wonderful crew

Review for a South America Cruise on Azamara Quest

There were 591 on this cruise (ship accommodates about 675) with a crew of about 400. This is considered an upscale line and ship and it is. The ship and crew did a fine job. The food was excellent and much better than most of their competitors, but they could use some menu additions and modifications. We love azamara and love the quest and you will too. This ship was apparently overhauled about ...

Bus crash in Rio

We wanted to see parts of South America. We enjoyed the food and service. The excursions were pricey so we did most touring on our own in ports. In Ponte Del Este, we obtained a private driver and toured the whole area including a visit to casa Pueblo, which was amazing. We took the ship’s excursion to see Christ the Redeemer and the beaches. On the way back to the ship. The bus driver lost ...

Hopefully not our last Azamara cruise

This was our third cruise with Azamara and it reconfirmed how much we like the brand (which doesn't seem any different since the change in ownership). Our cabin was on deck 8, which was handy for the buffet restaurant, Living Room and outside decks on 9 and for the main entertainment areas/dining room on 5. No need to use the lift as the ship is small enough to easily get around. Our cabin ...

Amazing Wildlife Sightings

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on Azamara Quest

We booked this cruise while we were on an Azamara Journey sailing in October. Antarctica had long been on our bucket list and the deal that was offered was too good to pass up. We had debated doing an expedition cruise, but had done one in the Arctic and ended up being totally disappointed. While we didn't step foot on Antarctica during the cruise, we were able to see an amazing array of ...

Better than expected

My expectations for this cruise were very low based on the terrible Azamara website, incorrect embarkation directions and poor pre-trip customer service from the "home" office. I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent crew, captain and cabin. On this cruise we went from Buenos Aires to Rio for two nights of Carnaval. The Quest was the only cruise ship that docked in Rio for two nights of ...

This is our 2nd Azamara in 2 months. Previous Onward Med. Was exactly the same food experience. In Windows Cafe very ordinary buffet type food offering. Unappetizing display with partly full serving dishes in reach until empty when replaced by the full one behind out of reach . Resembling a school canteen. Discovery main restaurant has very well organised impeccable service by numerous ...

A disappointment

My husband and I have been on approximately 20 cruises on lines ranging from Carnival to Crystal. We prefer a larger ship but my husband liked this itinerary because of the overnight docking in several ports. We decided to think of it as a "hotel" to see the area and attend Carnivale in Rio. Azamara is A "semi-luxury" line with a crew to passenger ratio of 2:1. We booked a suite, the class ...

This was our first sailing on Azamara and I'm a travel agent so we were very excited to see why Azamara has such a loyal following. We spent 2 days in Buenos Aires first at the Icaro Suites then embarked on our voyage. The checkin process was a breeze and there were lots of friendly people greeting you as you came onboard. The first thing I noticed was how the crew and passnegers interacted. I ...

Beautiful Antarctica

We were on the Azamara Quest Antarctic cruise 13th January - 1 February 2013. It was a “bucket list” cruise and was our 4th cruise on Azamara and our 3rd on Quest. Our flight from Heathrow to Buenos Aires was uneventful. But then came the worst part, after collecting our luggage the queue for clearing customs was a 2 hour long snaking queue to put luggage through a scanner. We had Azamara ...

Great Staff Let Down By Bad Management

We were so looking forward to this cruise. A once in a lifetime trip to Antarctica. We originally booked to do the holiday with Celebrity cruises but when we saw Azamara was doing the same cruise on the same day but one we switched ships! We always book suites and booked suite 8050 - midships. We had high expectations of the ship and accommodation as throughout 2012 it was widely known that ...
