We chose this cruise because we had not been in the countries on the agenda. Plus, we took a river cruise last year on another line and were not happy. (We had been on Amawaterways before) The ship was very clean and the crew served up beautiful smiles and perfect service. Our cabin was well equipped and clean. Our room steward (Nikola) took care of our needs. The food was not only beautifully presented but the flavors were outstanding. The bread tasted like heaven. Desserts were worth the calories. There were many choices and the wait staff worked to get you what made you "happy". The "chef's table" presented some of the best food I have ever tasted. (We are from a city known for great food.) The chef's table did not cost extra - just needed to request a night. We loved Vesi - she always had a warm welcome and took care of our needs. Kristian made sure our drinks were taken care of. Most of the entertainment were local people - and we enjoyed seeing the folk dancers and singers. But to be true full - we heard we missed the best entertainment because we went to bed. The shore excursions were very good. We learned so much from each tour guide and area we visited. Some of the guides shared family stories of the past. Guides always answered questions. Loved we could take special interest tours with out extra cost. We went to a farm and made delicious "buns" with jam. Had a typical farm lunch and of course brandy and wine. The farm was fun and quite beautiful. We went to a distillery and learned how brandy was made. The local custom of serving it and of course had some. Another lovely trip to a winery with beautiful grounds. The ship offered a pool, beautiful sun deck, exercise room, books and magazines. The Cruise manager (Talida) presented needed information and history. We did love our week (and pre) with Ama and were sad to leave. Looking forward to cruising again with Ama. Read Less
