60th birthday treat

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Britannia

Me and my wife were really looking forward to our first cruse around the med. Unfortunately this was not to be. The age group was very high which made things very slow going. The itinerary was changed straight away on what ports we were going to then we get told we were not going to stop at Monaco and ended up cruising for another day by all accounts this happens a lot. We booked two excursions ...

We had some future cruise credit to use before December, thanks to a norovirus infected cruise on the Azura to the Carribean. Lots of people on board and despite the queue to enter the embarkation centre, P and O should take some credit as the embarkation was quick, smooth and without delay. Entry to the ship was from deck 5 midships (Atrium) and first impressions were very good. Decor ...

We wanted a last minute holiday and as Britannia embarked from Southampton this was hassle free as no flights to coordinate with transfers etc. Embarkation ran very smoothly and was very well organised. Once on board we were able to go straight to our cabin on deck 12 and could not believe our luggage was ready and waiting for us. Our deck 12 balcony cabin was very comfortable. Tastefully ...

Upset and exhausted

We wanted to try a different cruise line and sail from Southampton. This cruise was supposed to be a stress free one week break for my upcoming birthday. The ship is far too big to be comfortable for our age group. We knew this when we booked, but thought as it was only a week, and no flying, we should be o.k. Thought we would treat ourselves to a suite with a Butler. Although this was a ...

I chose this particular cruise as it was a no fly cruise and also wanted to experience P&O's flagship Britannia, embarkation was very smooth having already learnt not to get there early i arrived spot on the time advised, upon entering the ship we came straight into the atrium which was a sight to behold, but things were not so great from there on. As this was a last minute booking our room was ...

EMBARKATION In 2010 i went on celebrity eclipse and i think the memory of how good and quick embarkation is probably ruins how i feel about p&o i remember parking the car and within 20 minutes being on the ship yes the cabins arn't ready but you can go into the main public areas with p&o this time i go there at 12 and was made to wait until 2pm they sent me a boarding time of 3.30pm which seems ...

Too big, too boring

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Britannia

Just returned from a 14 night cruise around the Med on Britannia, celebrating my birthday with my close family. Wish i could say what a fabulous ship she is, but i am left feeling somewhat disappointed that most of the time i was bored! I am surprised that a ship boasting to be a family ship has very little "family" activities to participate in, however if you want time away from the children the ...

Generally OK - but needs a lot of tweaking to get it right!

My husband and I have just returned from our two week cruise in the Med on Britannia. This was our first time sailing with Britannia and our first time embarking from Southampton. We found it difficult to find the correct dock as the postcode given in the information pack directed us to another area of the port and we had to ask several times for the correct directions. The embarkation ...

Our Second Britannia Cruise

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Britannia

We also travelled to the Baltic Capitals on Britannia in June 2015 (14 days) and although some of the many niggles have been sorted, we were still not impressed second time around. This was our 4th cruise this year and we are seasoned cruisers. Our cabin was in the mid ship area and we suffered badly due to the lack of a staircase above level 7, therefore the lifts are very busy and often full ...
