Read this before reading older bad reviews - P&O have made a lot of improvements!

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Britannia

Please don’t be put off by all the moaning grumpy reviews, P&O offer incredible value for money and you have to take that into account. We had an absolute whale of a time and to be honest couldn’t believe what we got for how little we paid. Do not be put off if you see a really good deal for P&O as it’s well worth it. (Generally I think the people who are prepared to pay the least are the very ...

I have just completed a cruise on Britannia to Spain and Portugal. The cruise overall was fantastic and as such I have booked another on Britannia in June. A more detailed breakdown of the pros/cons are below; Itinerary - I enjoyed every port we visited, especially Lisbon. The ship docked in each city and no shuttle bus needed. Ship - The ship is large and was fully booked. However, it was ...

This is the second time on the Britania, first trip being seven years ago. We really enjoyed our first trip. We still have two nights remaining of our second visit, we can't wait to get home!!!!!!! We purchased two drinks packages at £479 each. On arriving for our first drinks, I asked for a double Glenmorangie for my wife, I was informed we can only have a single and only one drink every ...

Come on P&O, stop neglecting Britannia!!!

I am just back from a fantastic 5 day Easter Weekend cruise on Britannia which is my second sailing on her, having sailed Britannia in 2021. Although I have had a great cruise I feel P&O are completely neglecting Britannia and all the money has been pumped into Arvia and Iona. She really does need some TLC but most importantly a HUGE focus on cleanliness. On my last sailing I had no ...

The equivalent of Butlins on water with poor quality food and service

The only positive thing to say is that we reached our destinations and had a lovely time when not on board. The entertainment mainly focused on children with any adult entertainment fully booked and not able to accommodate all. Freedom dining - restaurants overbooked and if you get a pager to tell you when you can dine in the restaurant they go out of range so you have no idea when a space ...

I have never cruised with P&O before and I'm not certain I'd ever go back! The whole experience on board Britannia was shambolic from start to finish. I decided to book this trip over Easter with my two elderly Parents (both in their 80's) and my family of 5, 4 adults and a 17 year old. Firstly I was unable to book cabins close together as the price to do this was more than triple the price we ...

Britannia - the ship for people who want to forget they're on a ship!

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Britannia

Tl;dr: Britannia is the ship for people who want the cruise experience while forgetting they're on a ship; beautifully decorated but strangely designed and lacking the service level you'd expect if you've previously sailed with P&O (though I want to believe this is due to specific problems P&O are currently facing which will be resolved in time). The flight to Barbados and embarkation process ...

Chose this cruise after not being able to have a holiday together for the last five years due to work. It was highly anticipated and looked forward to. It became obvious as soon as we arrived in Southampton to load our luggage on board this was not the same attitude we had received when sailing five years ago on the Arcadia. Not being sure where to place our luggage, Asking the question of a ...

We chose this cruise as the itinerary suited our needs. Prior to joining the cruise, I tried to contact customer support as my mother, who was joining us on our cruise, was given a boarding time of 3pm while we were boarding at 12:15. Our travel agent could not get the times changed and advised us to contact customer services. I e-mailed them and am still awaiting a reply. I also contacted the ...
