Because of the ports of call around the Pacific and previous cruises with HAL had been quite good.
Embarkation at Brisbane was fine. Our Neptune suite felt like the same as previous on the other HAL cruise, very comfortable and immaculately clean.
How ever, the joy seemed to stop there!
It appeared that the staffing levels had been reduced and things just took that little longer for ...
When we booked last year we didn't know it would be an EXC cruise. We thought we'd give the new product a go but it seems to be a cost cutting venture. We went to the major ports of Noumea, Port Vila and Auckland on sundays when everything is closed and the other days to beaches where it didn't matter. The cruise hopped around with no order or reason to be in these ports on sunday....maybe cheaper ...
Joined the cruise at Brisbane on the 08 September 2017, the grain terminal is not the most inviting point of departure but boarding was ok. However as my wife has a disability the extra long walk to get on to the ship was problematic, I except that this was out of the control of princess cruise line. On the ship made our way to find our state room which was ready on boarding, found the room to be ...
We chose this cruise over a year ago and surprisingly Princess had double booked our Cabin from Auckland to Sydney.
The ship stunk of Sewerage on Deck 7 by the Vista Lounge and they had problems with water leaks there also.
The International Cafe in the centre was hard to get a seat in as the ships average age of passengers was 76 so we were told by staff. There is an " Elite " Class on ...
chose a panoramic suite for its size - 220 sq.ft My wife requires a walker for mobility and when beds are apart cannot get walker all the way into the room
cabin 7553 is about 170 and when compared to 7057, 7553 is about 2.5 ft. narrower. A hell of a lot of space. We were charged the same amount as suite 7057 which was occupied by my sister-in-law and her daughter.
There were no pool deck ...
Picked this cruise because of itinery, which was then changed before we left. Were given three different boarding times and only advised of right boarding time finally by one phone text. Had no idea beforehand of average age of cruisers, most of whom were quite elderly. Had ambulances waiting at most ports, and a helicopter emergency evacuation. Unfortunately most activities and entertainment ...
Most ill-conceived, badly planed circumnavigation of Australia.
Hamilton Island waste of a port day. Most passengers returned to the ship by 11.30 or 12.00.
Why arrive in Cairns at 1000hrs?
Sun Seeker Cruises leave for a day trip to the Outer Reef at 0930, Quicksilver leave Port Douglas for Agincourt Reef at 10000hrs. Could have increased speed for a 0730 > 0800 arrival.
We sailed ...
Boarded the ship 100% fit and well.
The first blow to our excitement was the size of the Balcony cabin, storage and the microscopic bathroom. Anticipating Pacific Jewel size, we couldn't believe our eyes.
The ship's facilities have long passed their use by date. Tired, worn and dirty. Should have been re-fitted this past May NOT next May.
For a cruise this length, make sure to take ...
Legend of the Seas is eldest—or second eldest (1995) of the Royal Caribbean International (RCI) fleet, and either smallest or second smallest in size. She is well-maintained given her age and is only now beginning to show the years, at least to the casual observer. Given the number of mechanics, plumbers, air-conditioning techs constantly probing and opening walls and ceilings, it likely is ...
Royal Caribbean Legend of the Seas feedback from our trip on April-May 2016 from Brisbane to HongKong.
Food at Windjammer Café Buffet: Extremely boring and monotonous. It looks like the leftovers were turned into quiches or curry. Did not see any prawns/shrimp for lunch or dinner. Very plain hard crust pizzas with a few slices of sausages or none on top. American bacon – but tough and ...
