My wife, daughter (her 1st cruise) and we had the worst Cruise experience yet. 4 visits to guest services the 1st day. 18 people on our trip, 4 families. 1) they made us book 2 rooms for 3 people. 2) rooms keys didn't work 3) confiscated my bottle of wine 4) I had a drink pkg, so I got 1 beer and then proceeded to Lido Deck where we bought 3 lanyards, and sign for them. 5) Gust ...

Perception only few hundred on board when there were 2,000 passengers - smaller ship great for older people

We took the 14 day New Zealand cruise from Brisbane on 4th December 2023. Worrying about reviews written about the age and state of the ship we were pleasantly surprised. As it is older the corridors are wider, and we weren’t packed in like sardines. The carpet is just like that in the RSL clubs. We took Aloha mini suite. Whilst it not as wide as others the rounded balcony has the best views by ...

We were in a mini suite on Dolphin deck …we had water ingress through the balcony after rain but Mr Fixit came with his trolley and repairs were done asap . Well done! Our stateroom steward Romella was delightful ….our room was attended to while we were at breakfast without fail ! The bed was so comfortable as were the pillows. Lots of storage and hanging space and the bathroom was quite spacious ...

*Princess contacted us as the previous cruise had been cancelled. (BNE to BNE) They offered BNE to Syd, we declined. The first red flag was when we were given a 'personal cruise advisor, not in Australia but the US' What? The time zone made it impossible for us to communicate at a suitable time. Messages constantly missed, therefore had to wait for the next opportunity to speak. This ...

Carnival No Longer Cares

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Carnival Spirit

Carnival Spirit is old and has not updated for over 8 years. Even when updated lots of original items remain; bathrooms and carpets are outdated. Food gets worse each year, especially for someone who prepares meals each day with fresh food. Long lines everywhere. Transportation from airport to ship is horrific! Not worth paying for this service, figure on waiting hours at the airport ...

Covid affected.

First trip after Covid, shut down. Princess appeared to be quite genuine about trying to control Covid transmission on their ship. Easy to get to in Brisbane by driving and parking. Their different graded lane embarkation method appeared to offer the prospect of a quick, easy and healthy (in these Covid days of not being 1.5m apart). But sadly this was not the case no GREEN lane for faster ...

I’d wanted to do the PNG cruise, so when the bargain balconies became available on the Coral late last year, I signed up. The cruise left from Brisbane where I have family to drop me off at the port. Embarkation/Debarkation It was just so organised after the debacle I had had to endure at Station Pier last Nov. I was dropped off at 11am. My boarding time was noon. There were attendants ...

Successful First Cruise

The Coral Princess was recommended to us by a Youtuber and they were shown to be so right. In brief I loved it. The embarkation process from Brisbane was not as chaotic as I feared and we were on board in under 30 minutes. However I have to say that lots of people ignored their arrival notifications and they were the cause of any difficulty others may have faced. Our Balcony Cabin seemed ...

Carnival Spirit review 12-11-22 Boarding pretty good, smooth and fast except for a long wait sitting at one point in the process. 10 am check-in time but not onboard till 11. Cabin 5231 Jay our room steward very nice and did a great job. Room ok but both of us hit tv shelf with head ouch. Thermostat difficult. Cabin Door very very heavy. Nice bathroom, good counter and ...

6 of us from round the globe wanted to meet up again and cruise. As we had cruise credits to use up, we chose this cruise to avoid Europe. We stayed in cabin A216 with a balcony, near the front of the ship. The shower is extremely small, and water pours over the soap dispenser, making it tricky to get any onto the washer or hands. The fridge didn't work very well, but this was replaced after ...
