Not up to standard

Review for Sea Princess to Australia & New Zealand

Loved PAST Sea princess cruises. Great food, entertainment and great staff. Completely opposite in staff value. Very unethical and not up to scratch. Head waiter at table completely useless, i complained about a bottle of white wine that was left open and not refrigerated for TWO days.It was completely off! Nothing was done about it. It cost me another $50 for another bottle. Complained at ...

Wouldn't use Princess again

We chose this cruise as we were going to Australia and wanted to visit New Zealand whilst we were in that part of the world. So we went to Brisbane to board the ship and first of all it was a fiasco at the port, there seemed no organisation and there were queues galore and nobody seemed to know why. Anyway after a very, very long wait we eventually boarded the ship, the SEA PRINCESS which seemed ...

Disappointing

We were left feeling disappointed after several cruise on this ship the standard seems to be on the decline. In the past Princess have been out-standing in just about every department. This trip, the price of every thing seems to have gone through the roof, wine that can be purchased for $11.00 here in Australia is sold in the dining room for $42.00. Now I have no issue with people making a profit ...

Nothing special and much less than we expected.

Went on this cruise to enjoy a Christmas away. Turned out it was nothing special as we expected a special Christmas lunch which didn't happen. The staff need to enforce the dress regulations in a more thorough manner as we saw people in shorts, T shirts and tattered jeans being admitted to formal evenings. Not a good situation for the guests that did observe the dress rules. Very lax ...

WHAT HAPPENS ON THE CRUISE STAYS ON THE CRUISE

Review for Sea Princess to Australia & New Zealand

Five couples agreed to a get together and N.Z. was our choice. No animal cruelty in our stateroom cabin / balcony as could not swing a cat and taken back to be greeted with two single beds so second honeymoon called off there and then !! Was this cruise specifically to cater for Senior Seniors as it appeared that way ? Not much life after 11.15pm each night and no participants for the Tap ...

Why go to PNG?

round australia, previously done this cruise with Princess. So disappointed in ports of call, only reason for going to PNG appears to be so they can sell duty free on board, barely worth the effort. Port Moresby would have least been worth getting off, but not Alatoa, what’s there? On board shops selling usual cheap souvenirs, although plenty of top priced jewellery if you wanted that and ...

EXC not what we thought it would be

Review for Maasdam to Australia & New Zealand

When we booked last year we didn't know it would be an EXC cruise. We thought we'd give the new product a go but it seems to be a cost cutting venture. We went to the major ports of Noumea, Port Vila and Auckland on sundays when everything is closed and the other days to beaches where it didn't matter. The cruise hopped around with no order or reason to be in these ports on sunday....maybe cheaper ...

Not Happy

Because of the ports of call around the Pacific and previous cruises with HAL had been quite good. Embarkation at Brisbane was fine. Our Neptune suite felt like the same as previous on the other HAL cruise, very comfortable and immaculately clean. How ever, the joy seemed to stop there! It appeared that the staffing levels had been reduced and things just took that little longer for ...

My daughters and a friend of mine decided that a two day short cruise would be fun, but we were more than 4 hours late leaving the port of Brisbane , so no movies on deck least we disturb the people living near the port, but no one bothered to tell us until a fellow passenger told us a half hour after it should have started. Very annoying. When we went to the 9.30 movie on deck the speakers were ...

Brisbane round trip

I chose the cruise to see Airlie Beach, Cairns and Port Douglas. Unfortunately weather challenges meant we didn't get to Port Douglas, which is unavoidable. Furthermore the cruise is still at sea for another few days beyond the original schedule due to Cyclone Oma. Again nothing that the cruise line can do about that. However the ship is tired, needs a serious clean of public areas carpeting ...
