I rated the cruise as Very Good, but it was between Average and Very Good. As with most cruises, there were good and bad experiences, and some that were OK, but could do with a re-think. We booked late in the year, and got an inside cabin at a very good price.
We had Anytime Dining and could generally get a table (around 7.45 pm). We liked our waiters on the second night so we asked to be ...
We did a Auckland to Sydney cruise on the Maasdam just prior to Christmas last year.
Needed to go to sea again(yes I am getting hooked) and found a great deal for a Brisbane to Auckland via South Pacific so jumped at it.
Booked a outside cabin and a few days before we left we’re given a free upgrade to a balcony suite.woopee.
Embarkation was as smooth as we had come to expect, this was our ...
I chose this cruise as a short break as for people that are time poor these are really good cruises to jump on. The ship itself was nice and I found it to be a younger demographical for age pax is it was repositioning. I found the food in both the dining room and the buffet to be really nice and even though I didnt get to see a show on board there was lots of other things to do. I really enjoyed ...
We were supposed to cruise on the 24th February, but a cyclone off the Brisbane coast stopped that. We managed to get out of port on the 27th instead. Great communication from Princess but alas we missed the South Island of NZ as a result. But NZ put on its very best weather for us. It was like Queensland, beautiful one day, perfect the next.
I loved the new beds they’ve been on about. Very ...
First time traveling to New Zealand and first time on Princess line. Unexpected problem at the start and cruise cut short by 3 days due to cyclone.. can't help the weather. Just myself and best friend on this trip.
Embarkation went smoothly as did disembarkation when we returned.
Entertainment was fantastic something for everyone.Especially one group in particular- Mosaic was their ...
We have previously sailed on this ship and similar destinations in the South Pacific. We also wanted to do this as cheaply as possible and booked an inside cabin. This won't be repeated on this ship or for this length of time. (10nights)
Overall very enjoyable cruise meet some wonderful people. We both found the standard of food in the dining rooms was very high and of good quality. ...
Decided to take hubby on a 14 day cruise to NZ for his 60th birthday and had a great time. Our room A302 [Aloha Deck] While small had everything we needed [an amazingly comfy bed, lovely balcony to have breakfast & drinks out on & PLENTY of storage for all our gear...I had packed for winter & summer as we expected NZ to be cold, but apart from 1 cold day and 1 bitterly cold night , the weather & ...
We took our 88 yr.old mother for her first cruise and to have Christmas lunch at sea.
She really enjoyed almost everything - especially the shows and music lounges and was roaming until well after her normal bedtime.
Unfortunately, we missed out on Christmas lunch as the officers had decided to have it the day before on Christmas Eve as they do in Europe, and we, like many other ...
The embarkation was a pleasant experience up until we boarded the ship as the embarkation staff were very helpful and quick in providing the cabin key and other necessary documentation. Once I got on the ship myself and all the other passengers could not go to our cabins because they were not ready.
The ship is old and a little bit tired, there were numerous leaks from the overhead pipes on the ...
We are regular cruisers. We like to have a change of environment about twice a year. There was no special reason for this particular cruise. It just happened to be about the right time of the year for us.
We choose Princess because they are one of the few cruise lines to operate from Brisbane.
Also, they have the best loyalty program.
We have been using Princess Cruises mostly, but we ...
